Nope, while one might call it “better then nothing” I decided that wont cut it for me this time, when I get home I am cutting off all subscriptions related to WG from twich and discord, when they kill the forum in 2 days I am going to the “silent majority” category

I mean...I was already on reddit, too :Smile_hiding:

I'll miss the "What were your greatest gaming achievements today?" and the "funny and sad game situations shown with map screenshots" threads the most, I think :Smile_sad:

  2. I'm having a much harder time logging into battle, and when playing DDs there's often some desynch/disconnect bug I hadn't run across for the past couple of years. I'm playing in Safe Mode and I did an integrity check two days ago, but it keeps happening. I mean...sort of: last night it ran more or less fine.

    It's just so frustrating...

  3. The only thing I could see is trading a coal (or former FXP) ship for a doubloon one. For instance, Groningen (I'd still have the Friesland) for...Bayard, I guess? In a sense, that would mean trading 1M FXP for about 9600 dubs, which seems fair.

The problem is with the containers: I deliberately got a Friesland clone to make sure I wouldn't waste a rare-ish supercontainer/Santa crate drop on her. Similarly, the only time I got a "Tier 10 or rare" ship it was the Immelmann, a disappointing drop compared to Giulio Cesare, Benham and such. As someone with relatively few Tier 8 premiums and "rare ships", maybe trading away Groningen or Immelmann would make sense, as I'd be very unlikely to get them back, but still...

Finally, the selection isn't great. For instance, I've had my eyes on the Indianapolis for a while, especially after the recent buffs...but she's not on the list :Smile_facepalm:

To not be flagged as inactive you have to actively participate in battle. this means that you need to be contributing to your team in terms of battle performance.

The OP got 4 kills with 167k dmg, tanked his share of potential and, once the game was decided, opted to go for a cap instead of chasing some DD to the end of the map, which is very reasonable. It's a travesty that the OP didn't get their rewards, especially compared to, say, the Yamagiri at the bottom of their team, who contributed less than half as much yet probably got all their xp & credits.

Just admit this lazy automated system doesn't work, and try something else. WG receives tons of reports for afk-ing: it shouldn't be hard to only sanction those players that, in addition to being reported, actually contribute nothing (or next to nothing). You already have a system for that: just check the xp at the end.

Some story about the keyboard inputs, the alt-tabbing or the autopilot might explain how the present system "works", but not why. Why should a solid performance be discounted as "inactivity"? The OP wasn't inactive, they played a solid game.

Ok thanks for that, is there an option just to have selected players veiw replays, ie just my clanmates.( so only they can laugh at me for my feeble attempts when I get lucky in battles:Smile_veryhappy:)

I imagine there's any number of websites to share files, but you could simply attach your replay to a private message you send your clanmates via this forum. If they also use the forum, they can download the replay and run it.

I'll send you one to see if it works.

  6. You can upload them to https://replayswows.com/, but they'll only be turned into a (Youtube) video if they're good performances, and even then it's spotty.

If you just want your clanmates to see them, find a way to send them the files (or upload them here) and people can replay them, as you can, simply opening them with WoWs as the selected application. You can't be playing at the same time though: you have to exit.

And of course VLC won't work: VLC will read an audio/video file of various formats, but the replays aren't that. That'd take too much space. Instead, I reckon they contain the information about the game and the inputs given by players, RNG rolls, etc. They're like having the moves (and timestamps) of a chess game, not a video of the players playing it.

  7. Aside from the usual (CVs occasionally griefing you, BBs sometimes yoloing and sometimes hiding behind their own CV, etc.), the meta is that you can't see half, or more, of the enemy team. Seriously.

We've gone from games with a CV and 2-3 DDs, occasionally 4 but almost never 5 unless you played Tier 2, to games where 5 DDs and 2 subs, or 4+2, or 4+3, are overall common. At mid tiers, you might throw in a double CV as well.

That means that BBs/cruisers often have one target at most they can reliably engage.

It also means, at least anecdotally, that damage records are very unlikely to move, as the combined hp pool is rather low in most matches. For reference, after they introduced Arms Race a year ago, where hp, healing and damage/reload buffs increase the potential for high-damage games, I quickly broke my damage record twice within a month...but have hardly come close to the latter (412k in an Ohio) ever since. And that's despite superships.

Basically, a poorly-played BB/CA is an easy target to farm down and push against, which allows to gain map control and keep going, always engaging the enemy. But a poorly-played torpedoboat, or a sub that keeps pinging and launching, still has to be treated with caution, leading to static games.

There is no syncdrop in Clan Battles.

What's more logical,  that the OP imagined the impossible...or that it's a day ending in 'y', so divs from the same clan synchdrop and have the power to fix the match?

Buffalo T IX is in box

You already have the Buffalo? I say put on some blue boosters and finish the grind, or use FXP to unlock the DM. Later this year, you'll get an extra Supercontainer and Santa crate. Same next year and so on.

Whether or not you should buy the Salem (I love mine: 1st Tier 10 premium I ever got, yet clearly above-average for me, and I still play her often), or do something else with your coal, it doesn't change the issue imho: having more Tier 10s is just good economics :Smile_coin:
