    First steel ship?

    1) Only in the superships mode a while back. 2) Pretty well from what I remember. 3) That's one of the reasons I wouldn't recommend a Shikishima these days.

    First steel ship?

I too wouldn't recommend the Shiki these days, but she has a lot going for her over the Yammy: slightly better rudder, much better secondaries, much better AA, better accuracy if the Yammy lacks the LU (otherwise same accuracy, but better DPM). The Yammy has better alpha, which is important for a BB, but her shells are also slower, so she has to give more lead. By now, the Shiki is my 4th most-played ship, 3rd by XP earned. 63% solo WR to the Yammy's 54%, and that's despite trying secondaries with IFHE, AA builds, etc.

    First steel ship?

You don't really need real money to get dubs: you get them from Ranked. If you just go for wins in Gold, you need 10 Sprints to get 1 permacamo with steel, but only 7 to get one with dubs. Granted, you could use the dubs to get something else (Agincourt for me, recently), but you could also use the steel to get something else...

Easter Egg Hunt Results Round TWO

I don't remember how many tokens I got during the 1st spring, and I couldn't play at all around last weekend, so I'm okay with just 1 SC, 10k coal and some TYL containers. Still, how hard would it have been to set up 2 separate counters?

    First steel ship?

My 1st was the Shikishima, and I don't regret it (over 3M xp in her), but without Dead Eye she's just not very consistent anymore. Plus the Satsuma is a lot easier to get, even if she operates at a loss. Bourgogne is fearsome, and maybe the most different one from your current TX lineup, but she gets nuked by superships: Annapolis and Condé pen her all over the place with HE, Hannover and Satsuma overmatch her with AP... I'm going with Incomparable next, but of the three you're considering I'd pick Stalingrad: she's just a pain in the a** to deal with, especially in Ranked where there are fewer ships to crossfire her.

I can't even see those, not in Port anyway...

Easter Egg Hunt Results Round TWO

I got a message in port with something about "2 containers", but they're not where I'd expect them, and the message is now gone. Is it even the right prize, with 1645 tokens? I'm confused
  10. When is this going to come into effect?

    The WoWs Karma Memorial

I swear it was as high as 1250 recently, but subs and superships make people salty even when I'm not the one sailing them
  12. Pretty much all good changes, ngl: PA DDs can use some love, especially the YY I'm going to enjoy finally being able to melt those Petros who think they can just sidescrape and own the place nerfs to Chkalov and superCVs are welcome Grozo's buff is weird, but I won't object to it.
  13. I suggest you don't release unhistorical, overpowered nonsense like the Chkalov only to nerf it after enough people have bought it and griefed other players with it.

    Ranked.

In my experience, that's pretty rare. What irritates me are all the DDs that rush for the nearest cap in front of the predictable Moskva/radar Mino, and get massacred before I've had a chance to help them. It's not even terrible players, maybe 48-52% WR, but they're obsessed with capping. The idea that, in a 5v5 match, it's even less important than usual, never entered their mind

    Road to Daring.

Longer smoke action is pointless: you're a DD, you can quickly reverse into the smoke if you drift out. Longer hydro is also a bit pointless: it's already 3 minutes or so. Faster turret traverse is useless. Heavy AP is a good skill, as is RPF.

Distant Voyages container from the Dockyard ---> Ognevoi permacamo
  17. I'll be honest: I play divisions occasionally because it's nice to have company and it's polite to accept when you're invited, but I don't think they're good for the game.

    Yoshino captain skills.

Demo Expert is nonsensical with that base fire chance. Use some flags if you really want to, but save the 2 points. Frankly, I wouldn't go with a lighthouse build: her heals are a lot slower than on the Azuma, so she can't just take the hits and survive, she has to disengage instead. With a full concealment build, she can use the 12 km torps from stealth against players who push into her, and they have much better detection than the 20 km ones... Without a lighthouse build, Top Grade Gunner is a bit pointless, so I'd go Superintendent and possibly AA or even Outnumbered (I got to use it quite often in the Carnot, and the Yoshino is somewhat similar). I would also take Priority Target and maybe even Incoming Fire, to protect that vulnerable citadel when sailing straight at range.

    Leaving the game!

Not even close. I've no idea what he spent 300€ on, but his only non-coal premiums are Atago, Mainz, Aosta and Shinyhorse, so there's a loooot more to milk him for.

    What ships you play lately?

Colbert & Napoli in Ranked. Roma, Agincourt, Jean Bart, Iowa, F. Sherman, Neptune, Sejong, Ostergötland and Mogami in Randoms.

My first ever Ranked Game >>>>100% CARRY<<<<

I read secondary damage gets rewarded less, and indeed I get low HP in the Napoli even when I know I did well. I'm going to trust the OP and +1 this

    Poll about Cv spotting.

DDs will yolo superior gunboats, get caught in radar, get caught in hydro, eat a torp while they sit in smoke, eat a torp when they go joust the enemy DD unnecessary, etc. Plane spotting isn't often the issue: some DDs just have no sense of self-preservation. They'll go for early caps like there's no one there, smoke up for no practical purpose, get radared by a Seattle appearing from behind the island, get g********d by half the enemy team. If the DD is sunk by minute 4, often beyond my powers to help and something in which the enemy CV might not be involved at all, I want my CV to take over the spotting/screening job. As it requires an element of teamwork, I think it's alright.

    Poll about Cv spotting.

It's a "nay" for me. If my DD suicides into the cap early on, I need the CV to try to spot the red DD, or I'll hardly get a shot at him for the rest of the game. I might in a radar cruiser, and I might in a map with lots of islands if I can personally sneak up and surprise him, but it's not enough. Besides, CVs often don't listen: they're busy farming some backline BB. But I like that there's the option for coordinating like that. For what it's worth, I also think most DDs should get better AA, however unrealistic that may be.

Super Ships = Super Slap in the face

    1) I was that player. 2) I don't regret getting the Z-44. 3) My post isn't a complaint about nor having silver for superships. I mean...I wrote that I think they're too cheap. Instead, it's an observation about Tier 9-10 coal freemiums being, through the auction, both a more effective credit sink, which is what WG wanted (for whatever reason) and a more sustainable element in the MM, which is what most players seem to want now.

Super Ships = Super Slap in the face

The problem is that, while the huge service costs are bad for the individual player, the matchmaker becomes worse for everyone else. Some coal/steel/RB/FXP ships might've been a bit too strong or meta-defining, but that was down to poor balancing: in theory at least, they're just as good as their tech-tree counterparts. Bottom line is: superships devalue high-tier freemiums and they're also much cheaper than them. For instance, I've won 4 coal auctions in total, so I guess that's an extra Napoli and F. Sherman for me (or almost: I didn't use a coupon on either). Those are good ships, but I spent around 250M credits each. It's steep, but I'm satisfied: just like I'm satisfied with 2M FXP for the Smaland. But 50-60M credits for a T11 ship I wouldn't even need to grind for? Where's the sense of achievement?
