A literal "why do I hear Boss music?" moment -
So this happened...

So - three days - what's it going to be?

Coal? Get Napoli, out of those. Steel? I kinda regret getting the Ragnar, while all my other ones (Shiki, Plymouth, Austin, Incomp, Bourg) I have played extensively. I'm considering Z-42, Mecklenburg and Balansgrad. -
That's some nice RNG on the fire

4M FXP, 33M FCXP, 300M credits, 147k steel, 598k coal

I did find an old forum post that made me skeptical about it: otherwise I would've gone all-in with a Tier 8, which even with the 25% coupon is above my usual budget.
-
Not really: I always spend 25 Euros to buy dubs every 6 months, when the coupon renews. The lure of the extra compensation didn't trick me into going over-budget. I bought the Hood, not the Tiger '59, as I could've. I was particularly low on dubs this time, so some were necessary to get any decent premium any time soon this just means I'll have to grind wins for a couple of extra Ranked sprints, if I decide for a Tier 8 premium. That's fine. I also did it...for science!
-
It doesn't work: that's 75% the compensation for the HMS Hood From https://worldofwarships.eu/en/content/compensation-rules/: The specific compensation for each ship can be found in the bundle’s description, and the amount corresponds to the cost of the ship. It doesn't explicitly say that the "cost of the ship" can be the one after the coupon has been applied, but I guess that's what it means. Ah well, so much for my get-rich-quick scheme...
-
Sure, but: the standard 25% coupon renews next week and I'd rather keep it for the future, especially since I'll be earning more dubs from Ranked in the meantime. This would work as an additional, short-term coupon I'd rather have a 20% discount for basically any premium than a 25% one for British ships only I'd rather have discounted dubs than a discounted cash ship: dubs are just nice to have, and I could decide later how to use them I just thought I'd ask, since this event seems like a ripoff otherwise.
-
Question: can I use the 5 tokens coupon to get doubloons at a discount, by buying a British premium I already own and receiving the compensation? Example: Ark Royal, which I got years ago for dubs, is 20.73 Euros in the shop if I buy her with the "London coupon", that's 15.55 Euros the compensation is 6,000 dubs (looks like it's always 300 dubs less than the Armory price) 6,000 dubs are worth 19.44 from bundles (or 19.74 from the "any amount of dubs") I'd be getting 19.44 Euros' worth of dubs for 15.55, a 20% discount Would this work? Is there a rule against it?

Not really. Unlike the Mino line, Tiger '59 has 25 mm extremities and upper belt, and a 27 mm deck. That makes her reasonably tanky for a Tier 8 cruiser, as long as she's angled.

Advice requested: Bourgogne v Stalingrad

I could be wrong, but if this is to be the OP's first steel ship, I doubt the OP is playing much in "competitive modes". -
Not sure what would be more disappointing: that this is how someone writes in English, or that this is how some automated translator translates to English... I can stand reading conspiracy theories and trolling, but using this language just shows a total lack of self-respect imho.

Looks like it: with the Brisbane/Matilda Kelly event, I got Saipan and Aquila (and Béarn) for free, just by grinding some missions and spending some F2P resources this time, grinding missions and spending F2P resources would probably still have me pay full price for a Tier 8 CV at the same time, I can get a 25% coupon for buying said Tier 8 CV for cash: why would I gamble on the tokens, then?

12M kills? Play DEFCON and you can do that in one game!

More like an Indianapolis or something... I've had the Blyska for ages, and after the Sims the cheapest Tier 7 I could've gotten was the FR25, which looks a bit like a Tier 7 Emilio... On the other hand, I already had Hill, Monaghan and Kidd... -

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

@HMS_Kilinowski in a Delaware + Black div -
Exactly. To me that's a basic QoL thing, like the "adaptive interface" in the settings.
-
Right...I'm not going to focus on dodging torps or aiming at a citadel or whatever, because I need to "multitask" by checking the hp of an enemy 21 km away, in case I'll have to take it on 1v1 six minutes later to secure a win. Huh-hmm. Seriously, try playing something other than CVs and you'll understand.
-
I'm talking about an approved mod that's been in the game for ages, and arguably should've been into it from the start. Where's the logic in being able to know every ally's and every enemy's position, as long as they're inside viewing range, instantly and with perfect accuracy, as well as their hp, but only the former staying visible (on the minimap) if the ship isn't visible anymore?
-
Playing with zero mods is just naive, and almost certainly a bad option: of those allowed, plenty are useful. Some, like the one displaying the last known hp of every ship still alive, should arguably have been part of the game already. However, more mods isn't necessarily better: at some point you're just cluttering your screen with junk that can distract you from the battle. For others, it's a matter of habit: I've never even looked into (no pun intended) the reticle mods, and by now they would probably weird me out. Same for the ability to change the camera placement, something you can do in-battle: I've seen YT videos where people used a wider setting, but I tried it and it made me misjudge distances, especially when dodging torps or brawling.

PTS -> CTs -> KotS crates -> KoTS collection -> Tier VII premium ship -> by far the cheapest one
