    About the upgrade discount

I don't see why. Tier 9 ships used to have the advantage that they would be -1 at most in the MM. Now that superships are around, that's been taken away from them, so if anything I'd say it's Tier 8s that have become more attractive. Granted, the permacamo is slightly worse, but they're much cheaper, more historical, and don't face superships.

Where to Invest the final 4 points in Conqueror Captain?

"If you don't feel comfortable with taking increased amounts of fire damage, swap Furious for FP". I'm not objecting to taking Furious instead of FP, as there's a clear logic behind it: be on fire as long as safely possible, stack the reload bonus from Furious to that of AR, and then heal it all back. That's fine. I'm just puzzled by the choice of going for reduced fire duration at the same time, which works against that logic.

Where to Invest the final 4 points in Conqueror Captain?

Seems weird to take a skill and a module to reduce fire duration, but then go for a 4-point skill that depends on being on fire...

Where to Invest the final 4 points in Conqueror Captain?

Your heals reload noticeably faster if you take significant potential damage, which would fit your "trading shots" playstyle a bit. Then again, the best sources of potential damage are rapid-firing cruisers (esp. Minotaur line) and DDs, so it can get tricky. Example: 2.5M potential dmg taken is 30.15 times her hp ---> the heals are going to reload 30.15 * 0.8% = 24% faster (61 seconds instead of 80). It's a reasonable pick. Imho Basics of Survivability is largely a waste on a ship with the superheal, as all fire and flooding damage is 100% healable. In fact, I'd rather take super-heavy AP, which makes fires & floods longer, but gives that AP more punch. Then again, I've only really tried it on the Incomparable, which shoots AP 99% of the time. And I would totally take CE.

    Chaklov vs Hornet

Small sample, but for now I do like my new Hornet Then again, there's a strong correlation between how well I've been doing in these CVs and how recently I've got them: experience matters, I guess...

Karma: does it get deprecated over time?

I'm skeptical. Reports and upvotes are a feedback tool in the sense that they might give the correct positive reinforcement (for carrying, using consumables timely, giving good info...) and negative reinforcement (sitting broadside in the cap and getting torpedo, or being a troll in chat...), but in those cases you probably already knew what you did right or wrong. Even if all the +1s and -1s were for a good reason, they wouldn't be very useful as a heuristic tool, is what I'm saying.

Karma: does it get deprecated over time?

Sounds like someone reported you near the time limit, possibly followed by a bit of a glitch in port.
  8. During the cyclone, I saw a security minimap hologram @_Kokushibo_'s Napoli killing younglings taking advantage of an afk lolibote
  9. How? Some changes, like more 30 mm overmatch at Tier 10, are a zero-sum game: worse for cruisers, better for BBs. But there are now double the lines and double the premiums of a few years ago: surely that's made everything more complicated...

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

That's 712k dmg in 2 games And this was not Arms Race! EDIT: also made it to YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI_yhtqd3A0

    Priority Target.

Simple scenario: Z-44 (Liquidator, no flags) vs FdG (Vigilance, DmgCon Mod 1). Following the wiki: Torp doesn't hit the torpedo belt ---> flooding chance = 227% * 1.3 > 100% ---> guaranteed flood Torp hits the torpedo belt ---> flooding chance = 227% * 1.3 * 0.33 * 0.97 * (1 - 25% - 7%) = 64% Without Liquidator, it would be simply 227% * 0.33 * 0.97 * (1 - 25% - 7%) = 49% So what you're gaining is either nothing, if you hit the extremities, or (64 - 49)/49 = 30% (duh...) flooding chance improvement if you hit the torpedo belt. It's not 30% more flooding chance period, as there's a resistance coefficient, just like with fires. You can make a point that, if you hit a full spread, some torps are going to hit the extremities anyway, and give you the maximum two floods. Or that floods don't matter when you hit a full spread. Or that if your target maneuvers the only torps he's likely to take are on the extremities, as he torpedobeats the rest... I'm not crazy about it either, but I just wanted to go over the math...

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

This is now the 2nd highest Ohio dmg recorded on the EU server. It's also fake, given it was Arms Race EDIT: Made it to YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brPSCkCIHbs
  13. The WR is not the problem, it's the symptom. There's nothing wrong with having a 45% WR after 10k battles in theory. Someone probably has to be there, in order for others to be at 55%, as you say. But there's everything wrong with having a 45% WR after 10k battles given how little it takes to play better than that, in WoWs today. I'm always especially troubled by how little people respond to the most obvious minimap pings or quick commands. I mean, this is the EU server and I can't expect everyone to speak English, but in what language do I need to translate "radar" or the command to the CV to retreat, followed by pings on the enemy push that's going to overrun her in 3 minutes?

    Priority Target.

I think most 1 point skills are now very weird on DDs and BBs: Grease the Gears on DDs is typically mandatory or useless. Like IFHE, it's certainly more useful at mid tiers, so you could take it and then spec out of it, which is expensive. Incoming Fire Alert is largely useless on DDs, except maybe some gunboat farmers (Tashkent, Sherman...) Gun Feeder is useless on most BBs, unless you have Halsey or Sansonetti it's certainly useless on most DDs, other than maybe an Elbing or an Emilio 10% faster consumable reload, but only for some of the most situational consumables? meh 3% faster heal and dmgcon on BBs? how is that remotely comparable to PM, which protects your turrets, steering, engine and on some BBs, crucially, the torpedo tubes? higher flooding chance is a reasonable idea, but useless on most DDs in reality: either the torps are just for yoloing, or it's good enough to pretty much get a flooding every time you could If the 1-point skills were decent, I could see dropping BoS for PT+something on BBs, but not right now.
  15. It's not just the CVs that don't see the DD coming or look for it. It's also: those that stay immovable in the spawn even though a flank is collapsing, and get overrun by half the enemy team (not a lone DD/sub) even worse, those that deliberately go hide in a corner and get cut off by the enemy push: they know how to use the minimap and waypoints, but they're just stupid those that don't move forward in the late game, even though it's both safe and necessary those that "hide" behind an island that is too low, too small or both, and get Dev Struck by any competent BB

    Priority Target.

Priority Target easily fit into the old 19-point builds but, unlike Adrenaline Rush, it's simply not good enough to be worth 2 points instead of 1 across the board. On cruisers it's still worth it, but then again they're the class with the most points to spare. On torpedoboats, I wouldn't take it, going for PM+AR+LS+TAE+SE+CE+RPF = 19 pts. I still don't take it: I can run the same build but add turret traverse or flooding chance, too. On hybrid DDs, I wouldn't take it, going for BFT instead of TAE. I still don't take it. On gunboats, I would take it, going for PT+PM+LS+AR+BFT+SE+DE+AFT (or maybe SI instead of SE on those with a heal). But nowadays, its equivalent is just double the xp grind for less: AR is more expensive, FB is surely worse than BFT, and the fire chance skill is also worse value. Finally, a survivability build on BBs used to be PT+EM+AR+SI+BoS+FP+CE (maybe PM instead of PT on the Jean Bart...). It's not just that three of those skills have gotten more expensive, so you couldn't afford it anyway: it's also the fact that you have to pick a 1-point skill that's not on that list. So it's really a tossup between PT and EM, and most BBs would rather have EM, especially at low-mid tiers. In fact, the only BBs where I have PT now are those where I think I can get away with not taking ERE, and spending the remaining 2 points on Vigilance/Brisk might be very reasonable. Overall, I'm not sure I agree with the OP, but the skill definitely needs to go back to 1 point on DDs, at the very least. Maybe on BBs, too. Was it too cheap? Possibly, but the prices are all over the place: PM for instance is worth a lot more than 1 points on DDs, but at least one of those skills in the first row has to be decent...
  17. True and not really: subs are free, which is even more insulting.

    superships service cost

Imagine if you could be guaranteed to be top tier all the time, and never just among your peers (there are no "all superships matches": you always get to dumpster Tier 10 enemies, if not Tier 9, too) make credits in the process... ...just because you spent 50-60M credits (the price of a mid-tier coal ship) and 5000 doubloons (the price of a Tier 5-7 dubs ship).

Need advices how to... RN CAs

The skills are the same, just the modules are different I'd say. Honestly, it was one of the most forgettable lines for me, perhaps because it hardly has any real ships in it...I think of them as IJN CAs with better AA in exchange for a bigger citadel.
  21. Do you need a pair of glasses? Also, ZERO xp?!? Come on, man!

Need advices how to... RN CAs

Alright, I played 1 game in the Goliath... ...and holy c**p that's almost my record in cruisers! For some reason, most of their BBs decided to push my flank... Anyway, that's Engine + Rudder (40%) + Range, standard cruiser cpt build with IFA, PT, SI, AR, CE and Top Grade Gunner to finish things off.

Need advices how to... RN CAs

Strangely enough, I've never had any trouble with any of them. I mean...Goliath might be the exception, but with only 6 games it's hard to say... I've always gone for rudder + concealment, and of course PT and IFA. Never tried a lighthouse build. Goliath lacks a spotter, so maybe Range would make more sense?

What keeps you playing WoWS (as of June 2022)?

Mostly the ship variety. When I started, I only had 5-10 lines. When I bought my first premium, the Dunkerque at 50% off, on some days I played nothing but her, and the same applied to the Jean Bart later on, my first "expensive" freemium. Nowadays, I can play any one of dozens of strong high-tier, many of them fun and quirky (Colbert, Druid, Kearsarge...). Or a bunch of historical mid-tier ships, like Hood, Asashio, Roma, Kaga... Add some diversity with the modes (Ranked, Key Hunt, Narai every now and then...), and some games in divisions, and it's hard to get bored.
