Is the French Cruiser line worth it to continue ?

They're the fastest turrets for a Tier 7 CA (8'' guns), with the only exception of the Surrey. She's tied with Zara and such, much faster than Myoko, Yorck... The accuracy is identical to non-IJN CAs. Of course, the dispersion increases with the distance and she has the longest range of any Tier 7 cruiser, so her max dispersion will appear to be worse than that of other cruisers...but it's not YMMV, but I like both lines and have regrinded them at least once for the RB. Granted, they're not as unique/gimmicky as, say, the Minotaur, but they're reliable cruisers with good quality-of-life (French speed boost, reload boost...). Henri IV was the first ship where I tried a "lighthouse build", with perfectly fine results (and what was briefly my damage record in cruisers), and Marseille has also worked for me (so far) with a variety of builds. Also, Condé is very powerful from what I've seen (I've never played superships myself )

Why are submarines still not getting nerfed?

I don't think that explains it. There are only 3 premium subs released so far, one of them (Alliance) only briefly available. It seems reasonable to assume that subs have cost WG far more time and resources to implement than they could possibly pay back directly. On the other hand, they brought in some new players, so maybe indirectly they help the budget a bit, but I'd guess at this point it's more of a sunk cost (no pun intended) fallacy on their part

What am I doing wrong with Yamato?

Without watching the replay: You average 84k in the Yamato, pretty much the server average. In terms of winning games, you've been doing much worse with Amagi and Izumo, though maybe that's just a sampling bias, or having played them stock for a while. You're playing a slow, unwieldy Tier 10 BB with very little experience in the other classes, at high tiers: only a handful of games in the Ryujo and 50+ in the I-56. That spells trouble. Having watched the replay: The dispersion on the Conqueror must've been a lock-on bug or something. Try removing the lock (press 'X') and turning it on again, to make sure. Also, check that the little circle on the minimap (not just your reticle) is where you want it to be: it appears you were just aiming short, through no fault of your own. Also, without the Legendary Module (you were running reload) the Yamato isn't that accurate: most of your targets were 16-18 km away, and IJN BBs have so-so vertical dispersion. Other salvoes (e.g. against Goliath and Napoli) were aimed low. I mean you only gave a horizontal lead when the enemy was sailing away. Leaving the flank like that was poor teamwork, imho. Ideally, the St Vincent would've stayed wide and you middle, given she's faster than your Yammy and could rotate on a wider, longer path. But, as she immediately started kiting towards the middle, you probably should've flanked left, towards H-I2, to provide crossfire. Bourgogne and Salem in particular should be afraid to push into a Yamato, which overmatches both all over the place. Instead,. at 17:30 you and the St Vincent were sharing the same map square (zero crossfire), and at 17:00 you were both in full retreat. It's no use writing "cap sectors, people" in chat, if you don't help providing map control.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Very lucky game: saved by Kuzy early on, detonated a Zorky, their superunicum was absorbed by the other flank, their YY forgot his torps near the end. But hey, a win's a win. Only 100 xp from my record

Is the Des Moines legendary worth it?

You are running Propulsion Mod at the moment though, right?
  10. This is for Coop, right? If so, Close Quarters Combat, or possibly Gun Feeder + Vigilance + Preventative Maintenance (for the torps, mostly). If not, Fire Prevention.

All ships sunk counts as win for both teams?

If it's in the same frame, it works the same as a ram: the team with the most points wins. You can see by the XP scores that the enemy team lost.

    So What Is This

Not sure about that. It happened to me a couple of weeks ago, with mods: I opened a ticket, sent a game-check and was told to play vanilla to see if the problem persisted I did and no problem... ...but there was also no problem when I played with mods again: it's a rare issue anyway. Also, I have no idea how me playing without mods helps them (or anyone) figure out what the problem is, if it's from one of the mods. It happened again today, in just one game...but I reckon I've been playing without mods since the patch dropped

    A bit confused

Because otherwise you'd be able to use a single captain for all your favorite tech-tree ships of a given nation, at the ridiculously low price of 250 dubs each, less than what a port slots costs. Compare that with the amount of cpt. xp you need to level up a captain (3M for a 21-pointer, meaning 100 decent games with blue boosters and premium time...), and you realize how absurdly good of a deal it would be for the players... Granted, élite captains are almost twice as expensive (xp-wise) after the rework, but now we can use them on multiple classes: your Sansonetti has to be retrained from Colombo to Venezia, but not from Colombo to Abruzzi, FR25 or Aquila. He can have a different build for each of those, so you don't need a separate, dedicated captain for each, like in the old days.

What's the point of damage control party?

I mean...it's a binary mechanic: either you're immune from fires/floods (and incapacitations? Not quite sure ) or you're not, just like radar is either active or not. The immunity window is there: from 5s to 28-30 if you build fully for it, on some lines. Maybe they should bring the minimum to 10s on every ship, but it wouldn't solve what the OP is complaining about. It's like that xkcd comic about cops spending the last day before retirement in a safe room: it wouldn't remove the issue, cops could still die on their second-to-last day, and so on...

So - three days - what's it going to be?

"You see, Timmy: when a Moskva and a Petro love each other very much...and their neighbor Sevastopol likes watching...that's how a Stalingrad is made!" At long last, I had to do it. None of the other choices looked as majestic nor promised anything as satisfying as these guns. First game, in Convoy, some punk DM kited me...and ate 3 citadels as soon as he tried to use his front turrets

    Soviet containers

    1st mission -> 1 container = 1,300 coal 2nd mission -> 2 containers = 2,600 coal: 1,300 each (makes sense) 3rd mission -> 3 containers = 5,200 coal: 1,733 each 4th mission -> 4 containers = 7,800 coal: 1,950 each 5th mission -> 5 containers = 10,500 coal: 2,100 each Holy cosmological constant, Batman! I think we've found what's actually making the Universe expand faster and faster!

Yamato secondary build actually not bad as I think

My experience is that Shikishima is a better choice (30 mm of penetration on her 100s, 32+ with IFHE), but still veeeeery questionable, as Flamu would put it. People know about your citadel cheek and will punish the slightest hint of broadside. Also, the turret traverse is just too slow in close quarters. If you want an IJN BB with brrrr secondaries, that's the Iwami:

So - three days - what's it going to be?

I'd get it anyway: it's a nice ship and a Spanish cruiser line is in testing...

I-56 How do you even play this thing?

Good point. That deck gun alone has almost the DPM of a Kagero (i.e. not much, but still useful), except the ship has much better hp, so she can trade reasonably well with some Tier 6-8 DDs. It's also useful for resetting caps: I lost a game in Standard Battle because I couldn't think of it Kind of, but don't be too obvious with the spamming: you're very vulnerable (slow, short battery, no underwater hydro) against DDs, subs and CVs, so you want to hang back initially. The exception is if the teams are mostly BBs and cruisers, in which case you can play more aggressively. The main thing though is the shotgunning: it's better to avoid spamming torps before, as you'll just scare the target away and possibly make them call for help. Try to cut ahead of them, approach at periscope depth and launch when they can't avoid. It's okay to take some depth charge damage in return (the hp is there for a reason), as long as you secure the kill: sometimes I tried to have it both ways and I screwed up the whole thing Also, don't forget that homing torps have a shorter arming range, in case you emerge blind (maybe you're out of battery) and someone's already very close: they do less damage, but better than them not activating at all...
