We need supercontainers 2.0 by wg

They could totally give ships a bit more often, and if flags, at least good ones: heal, fire resistance, detonation as long as it's a thing... I'm never going to buy the flags for -5% cool down on the consumables, for instance: a SC with 100 of those is nice for the gameplay, but it's not saving me millions of credits like one with healing flags.
  2. These 2 BBs are full hp...
  3. @SkipperCH and @Sir_Sinkalot, who both played better than me

And which line to grind now *sigh*, opinions?

Frankly, I almost never play any of these. From personal experience: Elbing is inconsistent, but fun when it works. You need messy games with lots of targets that don't camp too far back...but don't push either, as you really want to hit broadsides. She eats torps like it's nobody's business, even if she doesn't sit in smoke. She's just that clumsy. Regolo is probably better in Ranked, where 1v1s are more common. The range is hard to use in Randoms. Leeuw looks very map-dependant: very good on Greece, Shatter, Faroe Islands and such, but C cap on Okinawa? Forget about it. Vermont: she was alright before the buff and she's probably quite good now. Minnesota was also pleasant. Colombo is weird: some games you'll slap people left and right, others you'll struggle to put 60k together. She really needs the improved Gun Feeder, but my Sansonetti is specced for the Venezia... Jinan...I dunno. The grind was alright (even Chumphon and Harbin), but I just haven't played her much. If the enemy doesn't push, the guns alone aren't all that impressive. If I had to pick one for each class, I'd say Regolo, Jinan and Vermont.

They had a triple Conqueror div on the other flank, so I had to push mine to have a chance. And one thing lead to another... EDIT: replay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPDcshbdZOg

New Research Bureau acquisition... Some nice wins already... ...and a nice loss, where I missed a tactic at the end

    Ise vs Fuso?

I think it's more of a case of "early installment weirdness". Balancing simply seems to have been more uneven back then, with some values being outliers to this day, and Fuso's awful concealment has endured, I guess because Tier 6 is kind of derpy anyway. Halland and Smaland are only 0.1 km apart, and pretty average in general, while Fuso is basically in a class of her own.

    research bureau

Well, naturally. As you grinded and collected your 4x points, they were taken off the line and went into your wallet, in the Armory. If you reset it again, you get 1x or 2x points for regrinding and collecting, not 5x or 6x. It'd be too easy that way. I'm assuming you used Free XP to go from 2x to 4x. So what happened is: you reached Tier 10 on the line a first time, either by playing it or with Free XP you reset the line with a 2x bonus: now the line had 2x points on it, but you still had to claim them you researched the line with Free XP, but didn't play the ships to claim the points you reset the line again after enough time has passed, adding another 2x points on it (4x in total), but you still didn't claim them you waited until the 2x bonus was available a third time you finally grinded, or regrinded the line, and actually played the ships: you claimed your 4x points, which were taken out of the line and went into your Research Bureau you reset the line again, with a 2x bonus you're wondering why "it went back to 2x" instead of being at 6x Your 4x points have been claimed, and they should be in the Armory. You didn't clone your points, 4x of them in the Armory and 4x of them still on the line.

    Black has torp-boat build potential?

The low detectability doesn't make up for the low torpedo speed. I mean...maybe it does once the torps are almost there, but you'll miss a lot of chances to deliver them if they're so slow: you'd have to think 20 seconds ahead than usual about what your targets are going to do, and they're going to have a lot more time to remember to turn on hydro, or to make a turn (even unrelated to your presence). Also, the low speed means it's easier for the target to escape the envelope where you can actually reach him: if you're sailing parallel, you might have to launch so far ahead of him that the torps won't make it. It happened to me today in the Benson: 55 knots struggle to get ahead of a Bismarck going at flanking speed. If you want a coal torpedoboat, Z-44 is your pick. Sure, she doesn't hit anywhere as hard, but if you see a BB making an obvious turn, or a DD/CL smoking up, you can deliver those torps reasonably early and punish them. Even the reaction time, against a stationary target, is slightly better: 6.9 s vs 7.1 on the Black, with the same build.

    Super testers

I mentioned their ships and that they were superunicums, which is pretty specific. You said you ran into "the same division": I think most people would've come to the conclusion that you meant the same people, or in this case both.

Funny enough, we all beat superunicum divs sometimes.

    Super testers

At least Condé and US are available to everyone. The other day I was up against a triple superunicum div in Malta + Dalarna + Alvaro de Bazan Of course, the match was absolutely one-sided and toxic in chat, as a result. Honestly, it shouldn't be a thing.

That ship only you seem to like?

Z-44 Lion as well, come to think of it: I haven't played her in 2 years or so, but I remember her being very sneaky, an AP threat around the caps. FdG too: she's very decent, and generally a fun ship to play. Finally, Hayate got some hate for...not being as unique as Smaland, I guess, but to me she's always been a good performer. Edit: and Ibuki. Mogami is very good even with the 203s: then you add a spotter, better torps and a heal...and people complain it's not enough for Tier 9?

    Best Ship for Steel

She still overmatches many light cruisers (Mino and Jinan line, Colbert, etc.) and she can firebomb angled targets with 16 accurate guns with good fire chance and improved HE penetration.
  19. In order to actually play it and see if one likes it. For instance, I got Cherbourg + camo in early access, then there was the economy rework and it only took me 30 games to get the Marseille using many blue boosters. It felt a bit rushed, so I reset the line and replayed it with mostly green boosters. I only had one good captain, and two decent ones for tier 6 and 7.

    Best Ship for Steel

If you like heavy cruisers you're out of luck, as Plymouth and Austin, while nice, are not that. However, Bourgogne, Mecklenburg and even Ragnar can be played in a similar fashion, roaming around and setting fires, while also having pretty good AP, at least against some targets and at certain ranges.

  22. I can't say I've often come across "map border abuse" I've seen people get stuck into the map border trying to run away from a collapsing flank, or just a steamroll in general, but they were soon dead anyway. And unless you go in at a very shallow angle, in which case you won't stay there long, the maneuverability penalty is enough, I think. If you went in perpendicularly, you might be stuck there for a couple of minutes, and get cut off from the rest of the game. Imho it's a non-issue.

Buy TX ships for anniversary or event...or not?

Supercontainers are very nice, ngl. Sure, some only give less-than-impressive flags or economic boosters, but with many of them you should get some coal, premium time, doubloons, maybe steel or a free ship. Same with the Santa crates: last time, I got a Tirpitz, a Hyuga and 6 months worth of premium, among other things. I got lucky, clearly, but in general Tier 10 ships are a long-term investment. I'd consider selling some mid-tier ships instead (if you haven't done it already), as you probably don't play them much if you brought your good captains to Tier 9-10. BTW, have you sold your camos yet? I haven't, so I could make several millions that way...
  24. It's kind of ridiculous that the Farragut has 11.4 km range without the upgrade while the Aviere has 6.9 with it. I'm all for different nations and lines having different "flavors", but this makes no sense. Not for the guns, anyway, which are very important for the Aviere, as well. You're basically forced to have at least a 14 point captain, especially higher up the tiers, when you start running into radar all the time. You really need Sansonetti for the extra range (maybe after you intercept the enemy DD), but you also need Sansonetti on the BB line, for the improved Gun Feeder, and cruisers too, to a lesser extent.
