To milk more credits from F2P players so they either quit the game or buy premium time.

Knowing WG they will certainly punish players for spending money on their game. Perma camo owners will be left holding the bag after this is over.

Gibraltar=RB Kearsarge=Coal Tulsa=Coal

In my opinion the Carrot is better than the two coalers announced today. And I started gathering RB points again just to get the Jabal Tariq. -
What is your Favorite Premium Ship Released this Year?
Aragathor replied to Ocsimano18's topic in General Discussion
Agincourt. Because nothing ruins peoples games like a ship firing in every direction at the same time. PS: I'm clubbing extra hard with it, I have a Dunkirk captain on it. -
It depends, because there are two categories of such ships in the game: -Real planned ships that were waiting for dockyard space or were designs that were planned to be implemented. Like Alsace, Lion, Grozovoi. -WG designs pulled out of the backside. Hindenburg, Petropavlovsk, and Zao for example. I like the real designs, which were the work of real experts. The WG made stuff? Not really, especially since it's often unbalanced stuff.
-
I strongly dislike the play style and how GW decided to balance the line. It's very underwhelming and uninspired. But that's what you get with a long reload on inaccurate guns.
-
A feature. No one at WG thought about soviet CVs when they made the second flag option available. Don't worry, WG will come up with a way to monetize that oversight.
-
Zao is a horrible example of power creep, as the ship was inadequate before the release of most of the "new" lines. Looking at the recent lines none of them surpass old ships, save maybe the Russian ships (CAs and CVs), but we all know that bias isn't real. Right? In fact most new lines have been quite lackluster.
-
Can't really answer, as I jump from ship to ship, without a clear list of favorites beside maybe the Roma.
-
I hope it gets better. Haarlem is a $hitbox that has no redeeming qualities, and I say it after some decent games in it. The ship is just not fun to play.
-
And you can't blame the team, because you are the team.

Before I start with my standard response, let me address the mouse in the elephant costume: An hour ago for me was 04:20 AM CEST on a Saturday morning AKA dead seas time. No one plays at this time, unless they work night shifts and want to keep their sleep schedule. Hi @HMS_Britannia! The only person at fault here is you, you pressed the battle button where the majority of players is asleep. Anyway, please don't mistake a marketing ploy with honesty. WG will never be honest with us, the best we can expect is that they will lie less.

I really love what WG did with the Underwater World due to subs

[Poll] How do you like new "Convoy" game mode?
Aragathor replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
It's unbalanced $hit, but I didn't expect WG to be competent to do anything with the concept. -

Suffer! Come on, those are some of the best camos for ships you kinda want to play at high tier, but not really. Like carriers. Or Russian cruisers. -
[Interesting Reddit Info] Apparently (and confirmed by WG) the secondaries damage is not rewarding the same XP as the damage done by main guns!
Aragathor replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Yes, people do take secondary builds into randoms. Just because you are unable to make it work doesn't mean others can't . When I say nerfed in other areas I mean things like the fact that Massachussetts has 3km less range, 0.2 sigma less, worse concealment, and no ASW, compared to Alabama. That's the same hull and guns being worse on account of secondaries. The Close Quarters Combat skill is a noob trap, if you take it you automatically join the paste eater brigade. Because after taking Manual Secondaries skill you need to invest in sustain skills, like Fire Prevention and Emergency Repair Expert. Nothing says "ignorant deadweight" more than a secondary specced ship, with 4 fires burning, trying to utilize a skill that gives a 3s improvement tops to reload. In my clan we have the "5 minute Kurfurst" rule, saying that on average a Kurfurst player is dead within 5 minutes from pushing into the whole enemy team. Playing secondary specced ships requires more finesse than people think or recognize.- 45 replies

Aragathor replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
No it doesn't. In professional game design there is a mantra - "never punish a player for making a valid choice". It is used to remind the creators to always consider that people will not play according to their set desires AKA railroading. Giving less XP for a skill hungry (albeit less so than before) system is bad design. If the issue is in the system being automatic, WoWS:Blitz has manual secondaries, so it can be switched. Also it is incorrect to state it is free damage, you still need to think about which ships to select, how to angle. Only bad players YOLO in with secondaries blazing. The argument above ignores the fact that secondary specialized ships are nerfed in other areas, to balance the secondary armament. So players picking secondary ships are penalized twice, first by lowering their XP, second by lowering their performance. Did someone say "bad design"?- 45 replies

Most likely deliberate, to punish people playing secondary focused ships. Because only sniping from spawn is worthy of a reward.- 45 replies

No, I think she realized her next career step at WG would be to be thrown under the Russian blame bus, and decided to leave for greener pastures. I wish her the best of luck and happiness.
-
Well, some of them are literal bootlickers. Like Boggzy, who became her replacement. I feel sorry for her, from what people who left said/wrote WG NA is a very unhealthy environment. At least she's out and can work at a normal place.

Then it's not a bug, because I lost only steering. 20210921_215837_PFSD109-Mogador_19_OC_prey.wowsreplay
-
Has an issue with steering/propulsion retention not working been reported yet? Just had a battle with an unskilled captain on my Mogador and the ship got locked into turning in circles, instead of retaining 20% of steering. As per description in the patch notes for 0.10.0 ships retain 20% speed/steering even with disabled modules. Nevermind.

I'd bank on them showing up on Friday. After all, they make money.
-
Good idea, that's why it will never be implemented.
