well one can argue about time invested not being free, but WoWS is an entertainment product so time spent on it isn't profitable anyway. The anniversary event gave boxes for playing ships, so no cost attached. Spending doubloons obtained during said event would count as "free".

So you have to either skip it with cash or play like crazy. WG at its finest. One step forward, a marathon back.

The ship I fear at t6 is not the Bearn. It's a secondary mad lad in a Loewenhardt or a lolibote aficionado in an Ark Royal.

Have they really confirmed it anywhere? Because I don't believe they would miss out on directly monetizing a historical ship. At least the admiral bundle.

I have no problem calling the way the boxes are handled this year and the T10s a good improvement over the previous years. While I'm not too hot about the dockyard event (Marlboro looks like it sucks, hard), the remainder of the event looks good. I'd say, if you aren't looking for ships then medium boxes look like they will drop a variety of stuff. Hell, you can go 2 mega and 5 big boxes. Something good will drop from those anyway.

I haven't purchased the Barn, but I experienced it this weekend. A super-unicum CV main tried to focus my Oktober Rev the whole match. I was alone with no AA support from others. He didn't sink me, I shot down 27 planes. Let me reiterate, a 65% WR player who plays most of his games in CVs, failed to sink me. What killed me was an enemy potato in a Leander shooting from smoke.

Just had a CV main try and fail to sink my October Rev. He focused me hard and failed. Spent 15 min. doing so.

I find the idea of a high skill floor line quite interesting. But the initial stats already make me wonder why certain decisions were made. The fact that some ships in the line can be spotted without the ability of shooting back is bad design, that was already proven back in the day when German DDs had massive spotting penalties when firing. This is even worse. The torpedo armament, which will be critical to their ability to fight ships like battleships, looks pathetic. 10km range, that's what IJN and PanEU DDs have at mid-tiers too, and compared to them ITA DDs look bad. A ship that can only counter it's own class and then has to beg for success, won't end well.

Due to the one drop per squadron mechanic the planes don't really trigger ship launched fighters. And CV dropped fighters can be avoided.

The problem here is that the low tier ships do not fight in heavy seas but on maps with calm weather. Yet they toss around like if they were braving a storm on the North sea. If I'm on Archipelago, in a tier 3 ship, the sun is shining, and the enemy DD tries to dance the Hopak, then something is wrong. Or at least fishy.

I have installed a mod to remove the massive waves. At lower tiers DDs act not like massive warships, but like small pleasure boats. If they acted like that in real life no type of gunnery would be possible. Hell, most people on board would be tossing their cookies. The idea of waves is nice, but WG should have toned it down.

I wouldn't touch MP with a 10 foot pole. The 36s reload on 9x 406mm guns kills the ship for me. I'm better off in an Iowa, and that ship is not known for good performance.

Don't forget that the Nicholas escorting the Lex has the tendency to straight-line towards the ship going for the carrier. I have seen too many rubes get torped to death because they rounded the corner and ran right into that little DD that can.

I'd rather have one Atlanta player bee-lining south, than 3 BBs going there together and letting other people to rot.

I played 3 ranked games today in DDs. The problem are not DDs. The problem is that the majority of DD players are cr@p.

@YabbaCoe I have checked with other people on reddit and confirmed my suspicion with others: Has there been a change to the SC drop or is it a bug?
