French DDs have several things that allow even complete potatoes to play them. -Gun range is much better than other DDs at tier. -Reload booster allows for quick burst damage when faced with an enemy. -From T8 up the torpedoes pack a wallop. They are also quite fast. -All ships are very fast. -The hull has a special damage saturation mechanic allowing parts of the ship to reach 0 hp with no consequence. The Italian DDs don't even have half of that, and they have been nerfed recently.

I read this as: Yolo in, get spotted by a DD with better concealment. Get closer, enemy DD smokes up, enemy radar lights you up. You die a useless sucker having done 0 damage. The more I see the stats of the ships, the more I realize those will be absolute stinkers that will have 0 effect on the enemy team. Bingo. Everyone should expect the T10 ships that have T11 progression to be nerfed or replaced by much worse napkin designs. Audacious will be the only exception, ship is garbage already, no nerf needed.

Thing is, they buffed the other Russian DDs way back. They all had horrible turret traverse numbers, similar to the premiums. But they kept the bad traverse on the premiums as a "balancing" factor. Now the two mid tier premiums are arguably worse than other similar ships.

In the best case scenario, having Ovechkin with EM and the Turret Traverse mod brings you to 26s base traverse. That's heavy cruiser territory. With the aiming mod and a normal captain you can get to 31s, which is beyond horrible. You should got with both the skill and the module, as otherwise you will end up with BB levels of turret traverse. BTW Gremlin and Leningrad don't deserve such a traverse anymore, they have been both heavily powercrept already.

Well, to be honest there are some differences between the ships, as the RN refit program was slow. So by the 1939 the class could be divided into 3 subgroups, based on the refit progress and extent: -Queen Elizabeth/Valiant -Warspite -Barham/Malaya Here's a source for that. Not really. WG just screwed up the monetization and the potential of alternative modes. They decided that short term gains without a long term target are acceptable. WG's decisions showcase a lack in so many disciplines it's not even funny.

They are ugly, the T10 is a travesty, you will waste their potential, and they will suck because you are incompetent designers. But I like the idea.

Anyone with half a brain will realize that the ship categorizations for early 20th century ships are mostly arbitrary and pointless. When nations experiment with designs it's hardly possible to qualify ships beyond rough roles they were designed to perform. Even the designer's themselves had issues in classifying ships. The 17,5k t design, which will be the Toulon at T7, were planned as battleships. Which was about 10k t less than 1913 HMS Queen Mary class battlecruiser. Hardly a battlecruiser and definitely not a battleship.

Here's my opinion: A line of Atlantas after Atlanta-type ships were nerfed into oblivion. And the mid tiers have barely any torpedo armament to supplement the $hit guns. They are not a threat to anyone.
