I think someone far up on the corporate ladder forced the marketing team to make this contest because of some sponsorship deal. Maybe they had a deal with Gigabyte. Because this has several hallmarks of executive initiative, where middle management is forced to do really stupid things because the "boss said so".

It's great that HSF will get a second collab. I didn't buy the Harekaze the first time and now I'm kicking myself for it.

Now that's a very dangerous line of thinking. Based on it we should be happy that the game starts and the devs don't hurl abuse at us, right? Wrong. This game is a commercial product, some of us have paid for premium time, others bought premium content like ships. We have a right to expect a certain level of service back for our support. Free users add their support in the form of a filled queue, which then allows for balanced matchmaking. If WG starts cutting down on events, the players will leave. It is their prerogative to drop the game at any time. It is in the company's interest to keep the players hooked on the game, by making things interesting. Since the weekend is when most people have a bit more free time, it is reasonable to expect that WG create an enticement for the players to log in and play during the weekend. It is the right of the players to inform WG whether the events and offers are adequate or not. And if WG fails to properly inform the players about changes, then it's on them.

Yes, the way to please the playerbase is to clearly explain the changes. There has been no clear explanation of how the server event unification works. It just happened and now people are confused by the fact that certain aspects of weekends are missing.

The challenges/missions are already up, earned my 10 flags today, plus put some numbers into the camo missions.

Don't forget that we have 4 weekend challeneges/missions running at the moment.

There's the following this weekend: -1x day - earn 250 ribbons in one battle get 5x Juliet Charlie and November Foxtrot flags. -Repeatable - hit 2x citadels in a battle, earn +50% commander XP. -1x account - Set 30 fires get 20x Clash of Elements camo (fire) -1x account - Cause 15x floods get 20x Clash of Elements camo (water)

A perfect illustration of the problem. I don't know why anyone would greenlight a promotion that might alienate customer groups. I won't be participating in such a "contest", as even a remote chance of winning would make me feel bad for people who cannot participate.

Kutuzov - well, that's a ship on par with the Nikolai. I'm very happy that I bought one before it was removed form the shop. Anshan - a Gnevny with usable torps. Sounds meh, but it prints fXP thanks to the camo. They were giving them away for 5€ before the PADDs hit the game. Gallant - that's a really quirky ship, without a 10p captain you're pooching the screw in that one.

Since I never had any Solo Warriors, or had games that would have resulted in them, I can't complain. I have had many games that would have resulted in a Kraken, if I had killed one more enemy.

Judging by how much WG had to buff this ship since the first stats were leaked, we will see another buff soon.

Amen to that. I have tried CVs and compared to other classes they aren't fun to play. I have also seen too many games where even an average CV player gets completely destroyed by a skilled CV player in the first minutes of the game. Which leaves one team at an extreme disadvantage. CVs should be reworked form the ground up, because in they current state they are bad for the game. AA too.

I was in that game, I tried to make the Anshan with a 3p captain work. Got deleted early by a full Nelson broadside...

I think that was OPs missing ingredient. Never believe what people write in threads if it can't be verified. If it can be verified, do it.

Afaik the Makarov is a RU server special tied with a promotion from a Telecom company. As long as the player has a contract with that company he can have the Makarov.

Prinz Eugen - that ship is garbage for the price, but it would look nice in my German premium collection. Tirpitz - I already have a Bismarck and I wouldn't trade Hydro for torps. Hood - storied history for the last Battlecruiser, but I already have the Warspite and Nelson, so I don't need another RN BB.

If it's not in the patch notes, it's not in. WG will fix this bug when they feel like it.

Flamu made a video about it. He compared the Shiratsuyu and the Akatsuki, and came to the conclusion that someone put the ships into the wrong branches of the line. But that was when everyone assumed the second branch was the "gunboat" line.

Premiums: -Blyskawica - that thing just wrecks people. -Nelson - for the zombie heal that can bring you back from the dead in seconds. Silver: -Fiji - even after the hard smoke detection nerf. -Akatsuki - the 70s torp reload let's you just spam people with fish.

I find it disconcerting that WG has not fixed this issue in the last patch, and also that it has not been added to the Known Issues list. The HSF voices that come with the respective ships are paid content after all.

Manual selection for secondaries (CTRL+click) without the skill overrides the target selection forcing your ship's secondaries to fire at the selected target over any closer targets. It provides no added bonuses.
