I have checked the price on the Roma now and half a year ago. No change.

I think that the news piece will go up later today. WG has dropped the quality of their communication, and it shows. I'm going to buy a perma camo for the donskoi. And that's it.

I'm saving mine so that I can get Stalingrad next month. With the Azuma on the horizon, I have this feeling the Balancegrad will be removed permanently.

Looking at the "rewards" of the campaign, I must say that I don't see the value. I'd rather buy 5x medium boxes and the discounted year of premium. Those will offer me constant long term value and a small chance for something extra. The campaign offers me a fraction of that, as I would need to grind it and even then the rewards beyond steel are paltry, as Strefs has shown in the first post. I have bought the PEF to remove any pressure to finish the campaign (I'm almost done with it). I need ~10 wins in CBs to get the Stalingrad. I don't need 4k steel that will linger there unused, until I grind more in ranked and CBs. And with how WG is rotating premiums in the Arsenal I'm not going to make plans for other steel ships.

Some light ship play on Christmas Eve: Looked bad, still won, met @tsounts. Disgusting ship, the AP on it is brutal, thank Bob, as the HE is so weak I don't use it. Had a Purrfurst game after those, but it was just a standard 116k damage battle. Nothing special.

That's the collector's patch and background. You get it afaik for 100 ships in port.

Finished the marathon, played one game. Nice ship, probably never going to play it again.

It's interesting that the old ranked reward ships belong all to the USN. I don't think a T8 cruiser is going to be that attractive, especially for steel.

There are no more things that WG will be adding, as the subforum, the shop offers, the ship testing, have been removed from the Collector's Club outside RU. I think WG considers this topic done and gone.

I think you are missing a coma there somewhere. Cruiser guns on a BB hull have worked in reality, the problem is that WG forgot to follow up on how the Imperial German Navy designed the Große Kreuzer. The original designs were built to just out turtle the British designs, which isn't reflected in the game (no turtleback). And eat a ton of damage, the PEF has no armor to get closer. If the ship sat a bit higher in the water, then it could bow tank enemies. Even a buffed 24s reload will not change much, I doubt WG would drop it lower. Those 12 rifles will just fire a few seconds later, you might maybe manage to angle a bit before you eat pens. I'm not against a turret traverse buff, but even with a better RoF PEF would never be a good brawler. And as stated before DPM is a nice theory, but useless when you can't penetrate and damage the target. And we don't need another HE BB. It would be at least an interesting concept combined with the high speed. Much better than just throwing a lot of excrement at a flat surface hoping that some might stick. I'm for a buff for the PEF. But I don't think that increasing the RoF on those anemic guns will change anything. And 350mm guns are not cruiser caliber.

And what would the buffed reload accomplish, save for making more of your shots shatter? I said the problem with PEF requires more than just a simple reload buff, because theoretical DPM is just a number, and the reality will be different if the shells just go splat against enemy broadsides. My point about secondaries was because WG decided to make them a selling point of the PEF. The AA issue is a separate one.

The reload is not the problem from what I saw in my games. A reload of 28s is not bad at t6. Better reload won't change the fact that being bottom tier against T8s will make the ship useless, as you are reduced to firing weak HE. I think a more complex solution is necessary. -The dispersion is trolly. I often fire on broadside targets and just bracket the ship. -Lack of penetration makes AP a weak. I'm better off firing weak HE on battleships than using AP, which is wrong. -Secondaries are a joke, this ship is not built to brawl.

I'm very disappointed with the Prinz Eitel Friedrich. The ship offer nothing of value, save for the early access to the New Year's campaign. It lacks both offensive options, as the guns are extremely weak compared to others at tier, and defensive options. The improved AA armament will soon be inconsequential due to the CV rework. In the current state the ship is not fun to play in any mode, be it ranked, random, or coop.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. If you believe anything in the game is really free then you're a sucker being taken advantage of. Just like in the game, people have no stones to stand up for themselves. WG knows that and takes full advantage of it.

The reason why I bought the PEF is to finish the campaign before the last directive starts. This way I will be able to get 12 days to grind out the cash required to get me the ship price back in doubloons. The ship itself has no teeth, the guns are a joke. It is a pity but after the event ends it will become a port queen, because a Bayern is better.

For that money I can get better offers elsewhere. Thanks, but no thanks.

It's a Christmas ship, what did you expect? That the ship will be at least average? WG has made the ship weak on purpose.

I've opened a ticket with CS concerning this issue. It was closed without answer.

See? Wait, what? Yeah, the collector emblems do not work. At least for me. I can see them, but the fact that I have over 100 ships doesn't register with the game. Here's proof: I have 3 loaner ships. So that's 125 ships I own. Since 125 is larger than 100 I should have received both the first emblem and the flag. One must really give it to WG, they are consistent in their work. They under promise and under deliver every time.

I've spent much less than I expected, got more out of the free boxes than I thought. The offering this year was very mediocre.

Both Fearless and Azuma are in the first stages of live testing. I doubt WG would tease them already in the Arsenal.

Looks like the doubloon price is there only for Arsenal ships, and is not an indication that the ship will be available for dubs. However, Arsenal will offer doubloon items with the coming patch.
