Also, I haven't seen a single CC liking the ship or saying it's good. Flamu doesn't like it, Zoup says it's as bad as the Krasny Krym, LittleWhiteMouse says it's below average. Looking only at stats will get you nowhere, but we all know there will be a buff after the games played in this ship take a nosedive after the missions finish. Because who wants to play a boring ship? Or buy one.

Who bought this ship? Whales and players looking for extra steel, most of which are not your average potato. These hope to unlock the ship for free. Neither is Arizona or Warspite, but they are much better ships. Yesterday Flamu said something interesting playing Arizona, he said that the main strength of the ship is the consistency of the guns. PEF has nothing interesting about her, she has good speed and ok armor, but she's boring to play. For a premium that's a bad sign. PS: I expect the number of battles to stagnate after the Christmas events finish. After the CV rework the PEF will lose her AA strength and end up a pile of fast garbage.

The no need for any buffs is right, if WG didn't expect to sell the ship after the event. As many people have remarked, the PEF is on the level of the Krasny Krym, not something you want to buy with cash. If it wasn't for the doubloon compensation and the steel the sales numbers would be really small. But since WG is selling previous Christmas event ships they should consider making the PEF attractive to buyers, otherwise it will be a dead item. As to stats, who do you think bought this ship? Whales and people looking to get steel for ships, many of which have really good stats and access to 19p captains. It shouldn't be a surprise that the stats now are good, but after the even ends those people will stop playing, and the numbers will tank.

Not likely to happen. Just look at Roon and Seattle. Both ships didn't deserve a nerf, but they got one together with the tier 10s of the respective line. Besides, Kronshtadt is going to get removed, most likely permanently save for SCs.

You are preaching to the choir here. WG has an atrocious customer relations department and they just can't communicate in a way that is professional. It's sad but true. The only way to be certain about things is to constantly look for them and remain vigilant. Because crumbs of information fall everywhere, instead of being delivered directly.

Over a month ago Hindenburg (and Roon) received a buff by having its Heal charges increased by 1. When the change was announced I posted a 2 month (September-October) stat average of the ship: Today I took a look at how the ship performs after the change: As we can all see the buff changed nothing and the stats of the ship dropped after the buff, save for a minor jump in WR. And I'm not comparing the ship with others. The buff failed and I believe Wg will hide behind the lame excuse of needing more data, the fact will remain that Hindenburg has no place in the current meta, having been replaced by Henri IV and Zao. I don't know how you came to the conclusion that a general discussion about a global buff's effectiveness means, that the people discussing it are playing the ship badly. Must be because you didn't really read what was written, before you galloped ahead to tell others how to play the ship. How does your way of playing the ship correlate with the fact that the global stats have not improved after the ship has received an extra heal? Not really better than mine, and I play the ship with the reload upgrade. I think that if the LU was put into the 6th slot then the ship would have offered an interesting choice between offense and defense. Hindenburg handles long range hits badly, so losing concealment is a huge trade off for a quite clumsy ship.

I'm in the opposite boat. I hate the ship, I'd rather play something else like Fuso or Bayern. Every game is a struggle to fight the ship as much as i fight the enemy team. But I can make the ship sing and dance and do magic tricks. My stats are good, with a unicum winrate and damage. After the missions end and the last directive is finished, I will stop playing the ship, there are many more interesting ships ingame and I don't want to waste my time playing a ship that isn't fun.

Speaking of concealment, she will soon get a concealment nerf together with all other ships that are not DDs. This will push her to 12.6km with both skill and upgrade.

You need to remember that for all its faults, the Graf Spee offers a lot of benefits at T6. The guns kill cruisers easily, thanks to the high caliber. You have decent torps with 8km range and good angles. And the best part is, that you get a T8 HP pool with heal. So unless you eat citadels you can outlast the enemy. Compared with PEF the Graf Spee is a serious fighting ship.

Cruiser damage is not equal. Hindenburg shares the same "niche" as Zao and Henri IV, it should be therefore compared with them and not DD hunters like Des Moines or Minotaur. The average damage on RU for Zao is 74712 and for Henri IV 81735, in both cases the damage is higher than that done by the Hindenburg The 5th heal doesn't even help experienced players as most of the damage taken can't be healed by the ship. I often struggle to use the 4th one effectively.

Otherwise the stats are similar. The reload nerf hit the Hindenburg and the Roon hard, while the extra heal has not changed anything. And that on all servers it seems.
