In a week the PEF will cease to be available for free. But even this "free" isn't free as it costs time and energy to get there, and you have to value yourself and your time, because you are not going to get it back. I'm impressed. A super unicum player wins big against a team that has an average winrate of 50,01%, that's 16% lower than your average stats and I'm not even going to talk about their personal rating. You belong to the top competitive clan of this season of CBs, your performance is as far away from the median as possible. You're a statistical outlier, and those offer nothing but problems in analysis, that's why they are removed before anything happens. You've had a good game, great for you. But as it is, it says nothing about the ship. Because in all honesty you could have probably won that battle in a Hermelin.

Normandie with a dedicated secondary spec captain is superior to PEF in operations. Having 4 more guns, even at the cost of the AA is worth it. I had played it in the inter-server CB test and it was hilarious. But I disagree that it is worse than Dunkerque. The weak armor of the dunk and the derp guns make it a XP pinata for the enemy. IFHE eats it alive.

I have posted the relevant reviews of the CCs earlier in the thread. I have seen only one CC with a positive review and that was PointyHairedJedi. Everyone else is negative about the ship. Speaking about LWM, reading more deeply about the ship one will quickly find out that the only good thing about this ship is the AA, which for a T6 BB isn't much, especially before the CV rework. Everything else is below average. There are a lot of T6 premium BBs and PEF doesn't cut a good figure among them. As to stats, let's wait and see if the ship is played after 0.8.0 drops.

Are you claiming that people like Flambass, Flamu, and Mejash, are wrong because they can't utilize the ship properly? All three have better stats than you in the PEF and judge the ship poorly.

You're not serious, are you? Here's an expert's opinion on the current state of that ship: Every new ship at T7, whether silver or premium is better than Blyskawica. Every minimal advantage the ship had has been removed. Even the 7 guns don't impress anymore, as Akatsuki has a better alpha with 6. Haida, Z-39, and soon Yudachi. All of those ships push Blyska down,and she doesn't even have the utility of being useful for a silver line. I have 92 games in the Blyska and I stopped playing the ship, as it became too weak to compete.

You are ignoring the fact that Mejash's review is aimed at future potential buyers of the PEF. The event ends soon and then the ship will cost money.

No, not really. Unless you work sloppily or try to manipulate the outcome. No it's not. If the price was 0,4 ct for a doubloon then a 5500 doubloon pack would cost 22€. Which it doesn't. I have rounded up my calculation to a hundreth, as is usual when dealing with money. That's imprecise as well, but the difference is not 2€ but 0,19€, since 5500x0,0036=19,8. That's pure speculation, as you aren't a WG sales employee. Also you don't mention the fact that the pack is 20% off compared to single purchase, the full value is 16,06€. You also calculate ignoring the fact that you aren't buying 500 Papa Papa flags, but 5x100 different economic signals of different in-game value. That's dishonest. Even following your train of thought shows the normal value of 100 signals as 3,21€. It's correct if you buy doubloons for 0,0036€ a dub. You are missing a "=". The doubloons in the client do not change, it's their price for cash as has been demonstrated. You will always pay 800 doubloons for 100 Papa Papa signals, but the actual price of those doubloons will wary unless you always buy the same package. No, it isn't. It's from a simple division of the shop price by the amount of doubloons received. Nautical Metaphor has calculated the doubloon cost for: 14500 doubloons/49,99€ - 0,0034€ 30500 doubloons/99,99€ - 0,0033€ Which would bring the price of 100 Papa Papa signals to 2,72€ for the former and 2,64€ for the latter. This neatly showcases that you get diminishing returns on large doubloon packages. Enough for WG to decide that single signal packs had got to go from the shop. People like you are affected, that is people who had 9 months time to stock up on doubloons by utilizing sales and special offers. A few months back almost everyone got a 20%/30% coupon valid for doubloons and other stuff in the shop. It's only your fault that you have been caught with no signals and standard shop options. And changing the subject: I think in the last Q&A session MrConway or Sub_Octavian said that they will push it forward to Leningrad to see whether it can be implemented. Mejash joins the list of CCs who don't know how to play and don't recognize the PEF as the best thing since sliced bread: Will WG purge the unbelievers? Mejash's opinion? The ship is inconsistent, too inconsistent, and might be in the bottom 3 of all T6 BBs (together with Dunkerque and Mutsu). Bayern is better. And since he is writing with the future buyers in mind, he advises them to get the shiny horse instead.

I think that the overall change was positive for everyone. Not only did it give a boost to doubloon uses and sales, but also allowed WG to consolidate sales. Let's not forget that every transaction has to be filed and then the sales team has to analyze it. Having a dozen single flag items in the shop might have been too uneconomical for WG, as they could have been creating more work than they were worth. I think the next step for WG should be to make the economy flag packages in the Arsenal obtainable with doubloons. Same price, but allowing players to buy in bulk, or at least in 20x increments. @MrConwayI don't know whether this is possible, but if you like it could you forward it up?

More or less, as the Mackensen-class and the following Ersatz Yorck-class were going to do away with the previous Great Cruiser armament philosophy of having smaller calibers than battleships. What the classes weren't going to do is to do away with the excellent protection they had. Starting with Von der Tann the German great cruisers were built like turtles, able to wither the broadsides of the enemy, as they were imagined to be able to join the main battle line contrary to the British designs. PS: Osprey's New Vanguard 124 - German Battlecruisers offers a good introduction to all built ships of the type.

I received my last SC 7 days ago, it was some fire duration flags. i received two ships out of SCs, one from a daily crate (Krasny Krym), one form a campaign SC (Gremyaschchy).

Got 59. But I never bought any overpriced bundles with flags in them or ranked out. The highlight for me is that I got all three gamescom flags.

As the Customer Service can return sold premiums they should be able to do the reverse. And I think people can do this with doubloon purchases, as long as the bought ship is still in port.

That's Captain Bad Advice's boat. The ship is part of the "Insert Coin" achievement: You need to hit it with torps. It was introduced with the Shark among Shrimps achievement a few patches back.

The problem with it is that both Fuso and NM need to hit something once, the weak PEF projectiles need to hit often. And that better sigma is in LWM's words: While the difference in caliber is only 6mm, the stat difference is huge: Prinz Eitel Fuso New Mexico HE Damage 4000 5700 5000 AP Penetration 10km 364mm 470mm 489mm AP Penetration 15km 266mm 376mm 394mm As you can see PEF has serious problems penetrating enemies, so even though the AP damage is similar between the 3 ships, the other two are superior when fighting at range. And HE on the PEF is just bad. I'd rather take the NM over PEF. More guns and better gun performance triumph in the long run. And I'd take Fuso over NM, as 12 guns with a 28s reload are even better.

The doubloon resupply was introduced in 0.7.4, so not forever but in April 2018. That's 9 months ago. You can buy all of the standard flags in the Arsenal, just checked. So it's not wrong, you just created a strawman. Also, if you that desperately need economic flags, then stock up on doubloons when WG is running a special sale or buy a discounted bundle. You can easily drive the cost of the doubloon down, here a few examples: 1000 db pack - 1 db costs 0,0042€ 2500 db pack - 1 db costs 0,0040€ 5500 db pack - 1 db costs 0,0036€ If you utilize coupons you can drive the price even lower. Personally I never had to buy signals with doubloons, I can easily get two daily crates per day. Picking a resource container and a flag container each day, keeps my signal locker filled with hundreds of flags and guarantees me 400 coal per day, that's 12k coal per month. I'm not condoning WG's policy, but I don't see the point of having a rage thread here. Especially since I saw that papa papa flags were sold in the shop for about 3,3€ per 100x before they were pulled (Google keeps cached versions of the site). Which is nothing.
