Clanbattle format isn`t right
Aragathor replied to Battleship_Division_7's topic in General Discussion
Changing the clan tag color of the bravo team is like having a major league football team go out against an amateur team in different shirts, and the referee saying "this is fair play" while the amateurs are getting slaughtered. And let's not fool each other with claims that the bravo teams of Typhoon/Hurricane clans are on the level of Gale teams. Because they aren't. Bravo rating has to go, if just because it is unfair to lower league teams which get screwed over with an unfair mechanic allowing top tier clans to club them. -
Clanbattle format isn`t right
Aragathor replied to Battleship_Division_7's topic in General Discussion
People don't like to get clubbed and the only natural reaction to being "free wins" for higher tier clans is to stop playing. -
Two weeks maybe longer. I think longer as they just had a major update two weeks ago.

Looking at those numbers we can see that the stats are not fine. GK has average accuracy, but also the worst avg. damage value and ships killed per game. While the difference between GK and Monty is small, between the rest of the category it isn't. And that's for a ship with good secondaries that should have augmented the numbers. In the survival category it tanks the most damage but is also at the end of the survival statistic. So it isn't really a ship that can tank damage and keep going, it's a ship that can eat a bit more damage before dying. So what was the strength of the ship again? Because just like the other two T10 German ships it has been made irrelevant in the current meta and doesn't really have a place to claim for itself.

WG please reconsider the concealment "gap" between mid and high tier

Yup, only a question of time until they will be selling T10 premiums for 100€ a boat.- 21 replies

WG please reconsider the concealment "gap" between mid and high tier
Aragathor replied to anonym_DEInhM4yznj6's topic in General Discussion
The problem with the "move up a tier" argument dies with the fact that premium ships exist. Why would anyone spend hard cash on a ship that sucks to play because of tier imbalance? He could instead get a free T10 and dump all over the people who supported the game with money. Then comes the balance at tier, a premium should never be more powerful than a silver ship. For obvious reasons. This is an entertainment product, people using it should have fun. Having situations where the player is hobbled by design isn't really entertaining. Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson once made a great rule for game balancing - never punish a player for making a legitimate choice.- 21 replies

First, I made a mistake, shouldn't have written Alsace but Jean Bart. Corrected it, as I don't play Alsace anymore. Second, the loss of 1% fire chance in return for more reliable pen is a good trade off. French BBs compensate with a high RoF on secondaries, so with a large quantity of shots you won't notice the difference much. Third, losing fire chance on main battery guns on a secondary focused ship is irrelevant. You want to shoot AP with them anyway. Fourth, Alsace's 100mm guns have a 6% fire chance and JB's 100mm have 5%, so taking IFHE on both doesn't make Alsace's fire chance worse than JB.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
Aragathor replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
I get reported after every Khaba game. I don't know why. Then there's Conqueror... And Des Memes, DDs love that ship. But what really got me going today was Vlad: -
Would have done more and maybe even carried, but WG decided that Hinden should suck balls compared to other kiting cruisers.

Remember to thank WG for the pink status for disconnecting during battle.

Me too. It's infuriating.
-
I think that WG has finally created a line that's hard for potatoes. I have played them and can say the ships are quite strong.

There are two ways of getting the RUBBs of tier 5-8, both involve the armory section for the event: -Spend allowance tokens (30 per box) to buy standard RU boxes that have a chance to drop a RUBB for one of the 4 ships. -Spend doubloons for premium RU boxes that have a theoretically higher chance of dropping a mission. The premium boxes contain additional allowance tokens in every box (75). Also, owning the cruiser Lazo, allows you to earn 1 standard box per day through a mission.

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
Aragathor replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
I agree. This is getting out of hand. New steel and coal ships, while opportunities to earn both resources remain limited. Sure, some people will spend cash, but at least for me spending 60€ for a single pixel ships is a tall order. I would have loved the Georgia as a fXP ship, it would have given me a reason to actively grind it. Instead it will be just a curiosity. -
What will you spend your Soviet Tokens on?
Aragathor replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I bought some boxes, so I'm almost halfway to Lazo by now. Going for the boat, but after that I just don't know. The perma camos don't look like something I'd mount on a ship. -
Will do:
-
The only thing I'm disappointed in is the fact that the ship doesn't have an alternate camo scheme like other USN DDs. Other than that it's the premium Fletcher I wanted to own, even the torps don't bother me as much as I thought they would.

trust me, DONT buy that soviet container!

I was lucky with CV boxes and now with Soviet boxes. This smells fishy. -
Premium Aircraft Carriers—They're All Here!

Wouldn't you agree that this response is a bit too short to be adequate? Let me help you in identifying ways to make future responses to inquiries better: By using the term "soon" you are causing the following: -You appear to be flip and disrespectful towards the customer, as you don't take him seriously. A one word response isn't a response, it's a brush off. -You don't show interest in the question asked. With this response you are making the customer feel unimportant. -You fail to make a positive impact on the customer. You don't want to be treated like this yourself, do you? Responding to a customer you can follow a few simple tricks to make a positive impression and leave him satisfied, even if you had to say "no". -Thank him for speaking up. -Make him agree with you. -Give him unambiguous and straight forward answers. Here's how you could have written back to MRGTB: "Thanks for asking. While we recognize and appreciate the interest in the Indomitable, we don't have a set release date. We also don't want to speculate about it, as it would only create misunderstandings. But the moment we receive news about the release, we will inform you through a news article on our website with all the information you need." I know it takes more time to write such a response, compared to a "soon", but it has a better effect. -
I just bought the Black a few days back. I don't see the novelty in the Neustra, it doesn't really stand out to me. But maybe I'm not the target audience.

Aragathor replied to Sometimes_Naive's topic in General Discussion
Looking at the paid containers as a way to earn RUBBs is wrong, see it as a shortcut to Lazo.
