You forget that the early access ships come with a mission for permanent camos. @T0byJugwill get the T10 special perma camo for free, that 5000 dubs he doesn't need to pay. He spent 4000 doubloons on boxes and has the T5 and T6 plus a guarantee he will get T7. The permanent camos for those ships cost 4000 doubloons in total (T5 - 1000, T6 - 1000, T7 - 2000). So he's ahead compared to a F2P player.

Let's not forget that for every guy who gets 2-3 250 point doubloon bundles at the start there are 10 guys who only get low point bundles. RNG sucks.

WG has become a running example of worst practice in community management and player engagement. The community team, as seen here in the topic and elsewhere, is effectively not acting as a representative of players in the company, but an enforcement team of the company tasked with making the player base aware they and their opinions don't matter. They are escalating instead of deescalating.

Depends, sometimes I see players that really do their best, even in bad ships. Like a DD actively scouting when bottom tier. It's a compliment. Sometimes there is this guy that carries the game, for whatever reason. That's a compliment too. A forum regular says "Hi". That's a compliment too. You're a useless donkey in a top tier ship? Report. You mouth off in chat? Say something racist or sexist? That's a report. You play Admiral while being dumb? Report. Excessive messaging. Not a report, just blacklist.

Right now Smolester is only penning 28mm with IFHE. And with the change of pen from "larger than" to "equal or larger" you still get over the 26mm threshold. But you're right, the change doesn't make it worthwhile to keep it.
