    Where's Ning Hai?

We use a lot of metrics. An important one is winrate compared to how you perform in comparison to other ships of the same type, divided by skill brackets, other one is relative damage dealt, but of course we look at pretty much everything. More information about that can be found here: https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/hotfix-game-balance/ Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Where's Ning Hai?

The comment was rather targeted towards Gibraltar. For Henri, she was pretty much performing better with her unique upgrade at all skill levels across the board. That generally means that her unique upgrade was more of a straight up improvement over other options rather than a sidegrade. If the issue is with Henri, then the issue should be addressed with the ship directly, and not keeping her unique upgrade too strong as a way of balancing her. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

The biggest issue with them at the time - the stun bombs - was abandoned. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Waterline: Winter 2023

I was mostly browsing discord/reddit. But we look for feedback on a lot of platforms: Forum, Discord, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube, Twitch. Pretty much every platform that we are active on. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Where's Ning Hai?

We have plenty of metrics that we track, which give much more insight than just looking at the popular stats websites. Part of her unpopularity is also the fact that she is in the research bureau, which prevents a lot of players from even accessing her. Also, buffing a ship does not always lead to an increase in its popularity. We saw this for example with Henri IV when we introduced the reload booster on her. But it can in some cases, like we saw with Vermont. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Druid Vs Daring

you didn't initiate the freelook. nah. You dont win this: 17.5k halland vs 450 hp druid. In any case, your play wasnt so bad, and the game as a whole was pretty good. Going for the smolensk was actually good - you knew there was nothing to stop you as both DDs died and the nevsky couldnt give fire support. It is still risky because smoke + hydro, or even the nevsky radar can end your game, but it worked out. Going for the nevsky though was a mistake, and you were lucky to live that (though somehow you got away with that kill, which was nice. Perhaps you could have turned out at the point I made the screenshot and gone dark, healed up, and then sought to ambush the halland. Unlikely, but still would have been a better play. Waterline: Winter 2023

The forum is not the only place where players talk about the game, or where feedback is collected. As I said I saw this plenty even before I joined Wargaming, and I didnt visit the forum before I joined Wargaming. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Druid Vs Daring

Hello! I looked at the replay, and when you shot the island while fighting the smolensk, that is because you were not freelooking at all. Please see it here: Afterwards when fighting the duncan, before you started shooting at her, the halland was already spotted both on your screen and on the map, and then you did use freelook on the duncan, and it worked fine. Nevertheless you would have still died considering you were on 400 hp after miraculously winning against the nevsky. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Waterline: Winter 2023

Right now there are no plans to change how hybrids work in the matchmaking. While a lot of people are now playing them because they are new, having multiple hybrids + CV is not very common. As for the subs, the limit for submarines in regular matchmaking is 2, and that holds true even for divisions. However as the waiting time for a battle increases, the matchmaker will start to loosen those restrictions, which means after some time, it will be possible to have more than 2 submarines in the battle. Where's Ning Hai?

broadly speaking, Gibraltar is within acceptable norms in terms of her performance. I will make the suggestion, but it is unlikely that she will receive any changes, as I mentioned. Hi! I did not think at the time my message was unclear. Looking back on it I see that it was not entirely clear what I meant. I will keep this in mind for the future. Thank you! Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Best RB ship to buy?

I know she's not the favourite, but she is pretty consistent overall, at least easier to play than colbert :P Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Best RB ship to buy?

To be fair, if there was only 1 ship I could play in world of warships, I might just pick colbert. The ship is just insanely fun. That kind of damage output, that kind of glass-cannon gameplay, that kind of skill ceiling is just crazy fun in this game, and I wholeheartedly would recommend her. Fair warning of course is that she is not the easiest to play, but if you get the hang of her she will treat you right. Of course a more consistent choice is Ohio, Plymouth or Vampire 2 for each of the classes, but none of them honestly live up to the experience that is playing a ship with 1 million damage per minute. 17. Hello! I see you've found your answer :) No this is not the case - santa containers and supercontainers are different containers. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Waterline: Winter 2023

The game does not account for player skill when matching the teams - this has been the case since the game's launch and there are no plans to change this, that is why it is random battles - random players. It is still more profitable to try to fight out a match as best you can to increase your xp gained, than compared to spamming games and dying quickly. Nonetheless we will monitor whether this kind of behavior becomes more common. The request to introduce support CVs has actually been floated by the community for a while since the CV rework - especially CVs with the ability to e.g. drop an aerial smoke screen. I even recall reading a lot of those comments before I joined Wargaming. Fair seas captain! ~Sera
  20. I understand that not all players have this ability, still it is possible to obtain most ships that we release in the game for free, even if it will take some time. While it may be true that not all ships in our game are completely true to history, there are a lot of ships in our game that are. The ones that aren't are usually based on real historical designs. ships that are entirely our creation are rather rare, and even then are usually informed decisions on what would have likely happened. Our game is not a naval simulation game, but it is also about exploring the cool and fascinating world of shipbuilding and making real what couldn't be realized back then. Accounts do not show test ship games. It also doesn't show games played on my press account or on other servers. A total of 53 ships were introduced last year. Now to be clear, I listed only ships on T8+ and only 1 ship per line. e.g. I liked all of them from Rooke, Hawke, Duncan and St. Vincent, but only listed St Vincent. if this is a frequent occurrence I suggest you contact our customer support with a WGCheck to see if maybe there is an underlying issue - While we have had some server issues on thursday morning which were promptly fixed, our server uptime is generally rather high. This is generally still the case - most destroyers are stealthy and carry torpedoes. Of course there are exceptions to the rule (e.g. Ragnar not having torpedoes, or khaba not being stealthy) but this is hardly moving away from the core mechanics of the game. Introducing new ways to play certain ships does not make these ships not destroyers As for the battleships, we have indeed lately introduced a lot of battlecruisers/large cruisers. Some in the cruiser techtree (such as marseille) and some in the battleship tree. As you mentioned good armor and large main guns, this is still the case for both the schlieffen line and st vincent line. Not much has changed in that sense. It is not ignoring you or the feedback you provide - we take all the feedback into account from all of our platforms, and often act on said feedback. Surveys are still the best way for us to collect a large amount of data from the widest audience. This is also why we prepare the update survey and send out surveys on various focused topics regularly. It should be noted that their damage and speed is rather low when compared to other submarines, and the damage of submarine torpedoes are already lower than those of destroyers. Update 12.0 - Airship Escort

Update 12.0 brings back a familiar temporary battle type under a new name—Airship Escort. Your mission remains the same—escort the allied airship to the destination point before the enemy team succeeds in doing so or destroy all opposing ships. Ships can affect the speed of the allied or enemy airships by remaining within a certain interactive zone around them. The game mode has been revised with a number of improvements: Tier VIII–X ships of all types are allowed to participate; battles are fought in a 12 vs. 12 format. Battles will be fought on a larger number of maps, and the airship routes have been updated on a number of old maps. Simultaneously slowing down the enemy airship and speeding up the allied airship will give the latter an additional acceleration. This prevents battles from taking too long when one of the teams is able to gain a serious advantage over the opposing team. The base airship speed has been reduced to prevent battles between equal teams from ending too quickly. Escorting your allied airship and slowing down the enemy one brings additional XP and Credits. We've reworked and revamped the combat interface. Participate in Airship Escort to earn special achievements for this battle type, as well as earn Community Tokens for completing special daily and weekly combat missions. We regularly test new mechanics in temporary modes with an eye on introducing them into the game on a permanent basis, and this is also the case for Airship Escort. If the updated mode performs well this year, Airship Escort will most likely be introduced into Random Battles in the future. Full details about the Airship Escort mode will follow in a dedicated article.

  25. This is not what we are saying and not the approach that we have regarding to feedback. We value all feedback that is provided to us, however this does not mean that we can or will always act on that feedback. We will certainly keep it in mind though, and if it becomes apparent that this is indeed a larger issue we will have to look at the situation again. If we would keep updating even let's say 100 ships a year, we would practically only ever be reworking ship models. To put it into perspective: at that rate reworking all 600 ships takes about 6 years. In those 6 years more technologies will have been developed, so we can start over again to update the old ones from 5-6 years ago to the new standards. It is simply not feasible. That is quite unfortunate, also because I think there were a lot of fun and cool ships released in 2022, Hornet, San Diego, Edgar, Marseille, Vincent, Mecklenburg, Vallejo, Tromp, Hector, Clausewitz, Sekiryu. All ships I really enjoyed playing and still do, so I really do think that there will be plenty of ships out there for everyone each year. Fair seas captain! ~Sera
