As of yet, I am not aware of what our specific plans are to change her, and in what way, so I cannot 100% say whether it will or won't. In general however, resource ships have always been subject to balance changes, even if for steel, looking at for example Stalingrad. So it is a possibility that current owners of the ship will be affected by these changes as well. ~Sera

Hi there! Unfortunately, the only artwork I could find from Moltke was the one we featured in our twitch drops campaign, which is in small format and thus low resolution. Other than that I did not manage to find any artwork from the german BBs that TheWarJac did not yet share, so unfortunately I think you're out of luck for now :( ~Sera

Hi there. I will try to provide some additional information in this regard. In general when we update models that are shared, even if with small differences, it is likely that both will be updated, as it is easier and more convenient to do so. It means that it is likely that black's model will be updated, alongside fletcher's model in the US DD remodel, that will happen in the summer of 2022. However this process is not 100% confirmed for black specifically, so I will try to get back to you on this. ~Sera

Hey there! Unfortunately I was on a break, hence the delay. As for the test, we did test a similar concept before, and our game is constantly changing. Sometimes we decide to get back to old or discarded ideas, as those that may not have fit back then, may fit better in the current version of the game, with other new additions or changes in place. In this case, the difference is that when close to the ship spotted by allied aircraft, you will be able to see the ship, but not if you are a certain distance away from the ship. This is the main difference. In the previous iteration of this test, there was no such mechanic, so an enemy DD could be spotted only 7km away from you, but you wouldn't be able to see it. Hope this clarifies it! ~Sera

Hi everyone! You can find the feedback survey for this update here: https://checkbox.wargaming.net/Update_01011.survey Happy holidays everyone! ~Sera

Hey there! 1. Unfortunately for now, no. 2. Currently, spotting them already provides a lot of counterplay, as it also depletes their dive capacity faster. However we will keep it in mind for the future 3. Unfortunately that isn't an option :( 4. There will be no shortlist this year. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

Update 0.10.11, The content and drop rates of Santa's Gift containers (DB 251)
Seraphice replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
Hi! Let me try to clarify this further. Right now, we are not including certain types of ships in the santa containers, such as steel, research bureau or dockyard ships. However that does not mean that these will never be part of them or that if a ship isn't part of these categories, that they're guaranteed to be part of the Santa containers drop list. Of course we try to make the containers interesting to collectors as well that didn't have a chance in the past to obtain these ships, as we have now also added some other unobtainable ships at Tier X for example, or other removed ships such as Haida, T-61 and Loewenhardt. We do carefully consider which ships to add and we appreciate your feedback about what ships you'd like to see in there or what your expectation for these containers is. We'll see how we can accommodate this for the future, but unfortunately for this year she will not be obtainable in the santa containers. Fair seas captain! ~Sera -
The ship itself does not move, only the waves move. Like I mentioned, if you switch back to low graphic settings you can verify that the ship is not being moved up and down, same as before. However as I mentioned, we did notice that this a bit of a problem perhaps especially at lower tiers for DDs, so I will be passing that on. ~Sera

Hi! As another user mentioned, it took a bit of time for the rest of the oil to show up. All should be well by now. Please let us know if you encounter any other issues with naval battles Fair seas captain! ~Sera

It is definitely possible to manually maneuver out of that position, even with a CV. All things considered though, it should not be a problem for a CV at the start of the match....

Update 0.10.11, The content and drop rates of Santa's Gift containers (DB 251)
Seraphice replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
Hey! They were both last available for steel, so they are still considered steel ships, as they have not been available for any other currency. So removed or not, they are still steel ships. For black, we did say this, and that she would, at some point, return for coal, but until she is actually available for coal, she is not a coal ship. As for somers, we made no such promise. Comparison of drop rate statistics for XMas crates in 2020/2021 (community based) to 2021/2022 (WG disclosed)
Seraphice replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Hi there sailors! We introduced this only recently, starting with the Warhammer 40k containers in october/novemeber. The pity mechanic does not influence drop chances. The drop chances are without taking into account the pity mechanic, as it simply forces a ship to drop. There will be no shortlist this year. I think recently, we have kept our promises and done already quite a bit of what we said we would do. For example: droprates were expected no earlier than early 2022, but we started publishing them early november already. Fair seas captains! ~Sera- 18 replies

Update 0.10.11, The content and drop rates of Santa's Gift containers (DB 251)
Seraphice replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
Hi there! Black is a steel ship, which is why she is not available in the santa containers. Similar to Somers, which is also a steel ship that has been removed. Steel ships simply are not directly obtainable through Santa containers. Neustrashimy and Flint however are a different story. As those 2 ships are now available for coal, they are also included in Santa crates, same as last year, when they were also already included. Hope this explains why! Fair seas captain! ~Sera -
Heya there! This should not be the case. The recent changes we made to the water visuals were visual adjustments only and should not influence your movement, or be able to move you around. If you do think this did happen, please submit a bug report to our customer service with the replay attached from that battle so we can investigate. As other users have mentioned, if you were playing arms race, the cap circle constantly shrinks, this may be the reason why, if that was the case. This too is only a visual effect. The recent changes should not affect gameplay at all. This can be checked by simply putting the graphics settings at low, as the new water effects are not available on low graphic settings. I have also noticed that especially for lower tier DDs this is true. I will pass it on :) Fair seas captains! ~Sera

Satan crate drop rates and ship list
Seraphice replied to arttuperkunas's topic in General Discussion
Heya there! Let's take the following scenario: You own all T5-T7 ships that can drop from the containers, and you buy a mega container. The mega container usually is 16%, split in 12% (T5-T7), 3% (T8, T9) and 1% (TX and Rare) The 12% from the first group will be split among the remaining 2 groups, according to their existing ratio. So in this case it would be distributed in a 3:1 ratio This means you end up with a 12% chance for T8-T9 ships (3% + 9%) and a 4% chance for a TX/Rare ship (1% + 3%) Hope this clears it up for you! Satan crate drop rates and ship list
Seraphice replied to arttuperkunas's topic in General Discussion
Heya there sailor! You can still get other rewards such as cool, camouflages, signals or premium time out of the containers. If you have all the ships that can possibly drop, you will receive steel instead If you simply dont want them, well... What can I say? Fair seas captain! ~Sera -
Hey there sailor! We of course appreciate all the feedback and suggestions all of you make, and they are instrumental in shaping the game. However, this is not the first time we have tested such a mechanic, or a mechanic very similar to what we are testing here, and this was a request we saw from other players as well, so unfortunately I do not think we can give you exclusive credit for this, but I can definitely acknowledge the importance of your suggestion, and all suggestions similar to it that have appeared in the past :). Not quite. This change is mostly focused on Aircraft to Surface ship interaction. While of course submarines will be affected by this change as well, they interact differently with aircraft compared to surface ships, and their interactions are not fully set in stone, as they are not fully released yet. We did indeed test this in the past as well with one of our testing groups. I do not know the reason for coming back on this. I will try to verify internally and get back to you on why this is the case. Fair seas captains! ~Sera

Captains! If you encounter any bug while testing on Public Test 0.10.11, please leave your comment in this thread. Please, also include screenshots, if that would be possible.

Satan crate drop rates and ship list
Seraphice replied to arttuperkunas's topic in General Discussion
Hey! It is indeed correct that the pity system is not likely hit, as it is mostly designed for extremely unlucky cases. In most cases, people will already receive a premium ship from a crate before reaching this number. Fair seas captain! ~Sera -
Update 0.10.11, The content and drop rates of Santa's Gift containers (DB 251)
Seraphice replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
Hi! I don't really understand your question fully, but will try to answer all possibilities in what you could have meant: If you meant whether we changed them since last year, it is not as easy to say as we changed some mechanics in how the lootboxes work, namely removing the so called "shortlist". If you meant whether the chances are going to be changed between now and live, no, we do not plan to change any of the now published drop rates when the containers go live. In any case if that happens, you would be informed, but it is not planned. Fair seas captain! ~Sera -
Hi! We usually conduct various experiments or in this case a giveaway aimed to check a hypothesis we might have, or to attract attention to something, in this case portal articles. We have done this in the past as well, by distributing codes, days of premium time or other rewards in our portal articles. Recently we did another one of those tests by including community tokens in our portal articles, targeted at increasing the number of people logging in on our portal, in this case. The experiment has concluded for now, and this way of distributing them is done for now. However that does not mean they are gone forever. There will be other stuff to obtain in portal articles at a later time, so stay tuned! Fair seas captain! ~Sera
