Have not played for long time, is WG still killing game with submarines?
Seraphice replied to Fonfalks's topic in General Discussion
I will bring this up with our developers, regarding DCP. an interesting suggestion for sure. Would need some tweaking and tuning, but I will pass it on for sure. Unfortunately back then I was not yet in this position and not around on the forum, so could not forward it back then :( Fair seas captain! ~Sera -
Have not played for long time, is WG still killing game with submarines?
Seraphice replied to Fonfalks's topic in General Discussion
Hey We already made some significant changes to the way submarines interact and are spotted by other ships, including hydro and oil leaks that should allow for spotting and tracking of the submarine's location. We also made them more vulnerable to instances of flooding, which should make staggered depth charge attacks more efficient, as we also reduced the effectiveness of their DCP. You definitely make some interesting suggestions, and I'll make sure to pass them on. Fair seas captain! ~Sera -

In a similar vein, just because people don't come to the forum to say how much they like them, doesn't mean there aren't people who do. When we take into account every single communication platform, and all the surveys we run, we see that there are quite a couple people that do in fact want them. However we still want to make things as fair and enjoyable for both sides, so we will do our best to make sure they are fun to play, and play against. We already quite significantly nerfed homing to the point where the effects are absolutely minimal. However I'll make sure to pass it on. Fair seas captain! ~Sera -
Closed testing 0.11.3 - Superships in techtree (DB 296)
Seraphice replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
And if that is the actual result, it probably won't make it into the game. As I mentioned it is meant to reduce the spotting issue. Fair seas captain! ~Sera -
Hey guys. After some investigating the gun sounds are still the same. on custom preset with lowered gunsounds it can sound a lot less epic, and more diminished, but still retains the same gunsound as shikishima. Please try switching to different sound presets, and if that fixes the issue. Were you using a steel camo by any chance? Fair seas captain! ~Sera

The Italian Navy is known for its love of destroyers. A competition between divisions composed of the same series of ships will help you determine the most successful team. Choose which team you want to join as an ally, and keep in mind that each team provides you with a unique reward—one of the four special Italian Commanders with 6 skill points each and a unique team patch. Starts: Thu. 17 Mar. 06:00 CET (UTC+1) / your local time: Thu. 17 Mar. 06:00 Ends: Thu. 14 Apr. 06:00 CET (UTC+1) / your local time: Thu. 14 Apr. 07:00 The event is open to all players who have reached Access Level 8. From my perspective we have made some significant changes to some of the issues most often raised by the community, most notably the spotting, with hydro and proxy spotting, as well as changing homing and "shotgunning" and making subs easier to track and damage with the oil leaks and flooding changes. Could you tell us what else we could do to make their implementation smoother? Fair seas captain! ~Sera -

Hey man Despite your experiences the amount of CV players didn't actually increase. Maybe you just got unlucky over a couple games :/ Most of the ships are not exactly fake. Some of them were at least designed. In the end there should still be reason to play TX as it will remain much more sustainable as a tier to play in terms of economy. Superships are not designed to be a sustainable tier to play on, and players won't be able to exclusively play them, which will limit their popularity. Buying your way to a Supership shouldn't really be an issue since you will need at least 3 TX's, and the respective tech tree TX for that line, as well as the credits to purchase it. I've played quite a couple games in T9 and TX so far and even superships. In all my games seeing a supership was pretty unlikely, and even if there were, it was usually 1, at most 2. And in most cases the bother was not actually that high if you know what they are capable of, and how to deal with it. Now T9 simply follows the same rules as every other tier. Hey guys I can assure you we are not mining crypto off of your machines. However the port does consume a lot of resources. As someone earlier mentioned, using a port without water, such as the dorm or designer's table will significantly reduce the usage of your GPU. The game does a lot of rendering in the port, this is why the GPU utilisation is so high. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

Hey! I understand your concerns, and we know CVs are not perfect as they are now. We are right now trying to address one of the main problems with their design: spotting. As you could see in the recent devblog we are still trying new things to diminish their spotting capabilities in various ways. Some of these tests being more successful than others. But it is definitely not the last test of a concept that we will be conducting regarding CV spotting. We will continue to test ways to solve the problem in a way that is acceptable for all parties involved. As for the poll, there are many things I could say, such as that if I was in a cruiser I'd love a queue without 30mm overmatch BBs, but I'll make sure to take this feedback into account, and pass it on. Thanks. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

Hey everyone. First of all I want to say that cv spotting is something we are working on. We've had various tests of mechanics, though some more successful than others, in all honesty. Not everything works out the way we think it will in regards to the different approaches we've tried, and we will continue to try new approaches until we find something that fits. As usual it is important to keep in mind that with these kinds of tests that we release on the devblog, they are concept tests. They are nowhere near guaranteed to ever come into the game, and your feedback on these topics whether it looks promising or not promising at all is of course also passed onto our developers, who will take it into account, with the test results and feedback from testers. So worry not, we are definitely still working on CV spotting changes, and I'll make sure to pass on the concerns! Fair seas captain! ~Sera

Superships to Appear Permanently in the National Tech Trees
Seraphice replied to farko1's topic in General Discussion
So far they have not been, as you said. However subs should re-appear on the live server shortly, and then we can see what the effect of the both of them simultaneously is. And yes we will need to see whether this has any kind of negative impact, and how the perception is. Fair seas captain! ~Sera -
Hallo! Fair seas captain! ~Sera

New Ships II Curtatone, III Nazario Sauro, and IV Turbine. The primary armament of the new ships placed at Tiers II to IV is their torpedoes. In terms of gameplay, these ships are similar to "conventional" destroyers, and all of them carry SAP and HE shells. At Tiers II to IV, ship consumables don't last long and are mostly used for illustrative purposes to introduce players to their unusual characteristics. Exhaust Smoke Generator will hide a ship even if she's running at full speed, and the Emergency Engine Power consumable provides a bigger boost to speed compared to the standard Engine Boost, but for a shorter period of time. V Maestrale, VI Aviere, and VII Luca Tarigo. At Tiers V to VII, main battery guns get better but the ships continue to rely on torpedo tubes as their primary armament. Unlike their counterparts of other nations, there is only a slight increase in the firing range of their main batteries. The characteristics of their consumables, however, improve from tier to tier, helping shape a full-fledged style of combat. With Emergency Engine Power, SAP shells, and Exhaust Smoke Generator, Italian destroyers can close in on an enemy ship for dashing attack at short range. VIII Vittorio Cuniberti, IX Adriatico, and X Attilio Regolo. At Tiers VIII to X, combat strategy may be based on an intermittent approach. Commanders will need to conduct a thorough analysis of the situation and choose between (or combine) the following two strategies: Firing long-range quick-reload torpedoes in a measured way. Relying on a combination of main guns, torpedoes, and consumables for a lightning-fast strike. The closest similar ship suited to an aggressive combat strategy is IX Paolo Emilio. At the same time, researchable Italian destroyers will also rely on their main guns in knife-distance duels since torpedoes alone may not be enough to finish the job. Keep in mind that at Tiers IX and X, the standard firing range does not exceed 10 km. Upgrades to extend the firing range are not accessible. Early Access II Curtatone is available via free daily bundles. You can obtain only one bundle per day out of a total of 12. III Nazario Sauro is available via paid daily bundles. You can obtain only one bundle per day for 150 Doubloons out of a total of 12. IV Turbine, V Maestrale, VI Aviere, VII Luca Tarigo, and VIII Vittorio Cuniberti are available via sequential bundles for Italian Tokens. You can obtain as many as 4,700 Italian Tokens for free. This will be enough to grab Luca Tarigo and a special camouflage for Vittorio Cuniberti. These free Tokens can be earned in the following ways: 4,000 Tokens by engaging in the Clash of Courage 200 Tokens in free daily bundles 500 Tokens in exchange for Community Tokens You can also find Italian Tokens in random bundles available in exchange for Doubloons. With the release of Update 0.11.4, all Italian Tokens will be converted into Credits at the rate of 1:3,000. IX Adriatico is available via paid random bundles. We're offering 60 bundles for 1,000 Doubloons each. Upon obtaining all available sequential bundles for Italian Tokens, you will be able to acquire X Attilio Regolo in exchange for Doubloons. When Update 0.11.4 goes live, the Italian destroyers will become available for all players to research.

My profile pic is from Touhou. As for the permanent camouflages, these were simply from the halloween event ships, but weren't removed earlier. We didn't take anything away from you that you should have had. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

Ships of the new branch can boast good concealment and are equipped with main battery guns that, despite their small caliber, have a high rate of fire. They carry powerful deepwater torpedoes that pose a deadly threat to all ship types except destroyers. The cruisers have strong AA defenses but cannot boast of having high survivability or a long firing range. The newcomers do not have access to Hydroacoustic Search, urging players to keep a close eye on hostile ships equipped with torpedoes. There is a high chance of getting hit by a torpedo while hiding in a smoke screen. Available consumables Smoke Generator with a reduced cooldown time for all ships of the branch Defensive AA Fire for the new cruisers of Tier VI and above Torpedo Reload Booster for the ships of Tier VII and above Repair Party for the ships of Tier IX and X When Update 0.11.2 goes live, the Pan-Asian cruisers will become available for all players to research.

Superships to Appear Permanently in the National Tech Trees
Seraphice replied to farko1's topic in General Discussion
As you can see in my reply here above, now it should never be the case anymore that your firing range is greater than your viewing range, as this used to be an issue in the past, as it was not set dynamically. Fair seas captain! ~Sera -
Superships to Appear Permanently in the National Tech Trees
Seraphice replied to farko1's topic in General Discussion
Like I said the wording here is a bit odd. The NC will still only be spotted up until 21.1km, However her Viewing Range, which is the range at which a ship can see other enemies, is increased to 30km, not her detection after firing. Fair seas captain! ~Sera
