    Shikishima or Bourgogne for steel

In the past this notice has been around 2 or 3 patches. Fair seas captain! ~Sera
  2. Bounty Event We're getting ready to roll out the Bounty Event feature in the game—choose whether to be the hunter or the hunted and head into battle! During this activity, you need to find one or more players with the "Bounty" status in Random Battles and send them to Davy Jones' Locker! In battle, a Bounty player can be identified by a special icon in the form of a target. Watch out for it on battleships, cruisers, and destroyers. You can take on the role of a Bounty, too, if you choose to. Demonstrate your skills and fend off the prevailing enemy forces! To become the "hunted", apply on our website via the button below and wait for an answer. Participants will be selected randomly to receive the Bounty status. These players will receive a special combat mission and will be able to earn rewards for completing it. Those who sink a Bounty in battle will receive valuable rewards and the Seek and Destroy special achievement. Watch out for news updates on the website. We'll make sure you have all the details of the Bounty Event event!

    USS Illinois BB-65...with 3x4 203mm??

Never say never! Certainly can be interesting. I mean people were asking for aki-zao for a long time, who says we cant just make yama-zuki instead :P On a more serious note, we shall have to see how she performs in testing and what changes are necessary. They are new waters and the initial stats will very likely change. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    USS Illinois BB-65...with 3x4 203mm??

That is only fair, it is pretty much unprecedented to have a BB like this, but it should be exciting to have something completely unique! Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Mecklenburg worth the Steel?

I would say yes. Mecklenburg has become one of my more favourite ships to play. her accuracy and many guns make her rather reliable. You're not going to citadel enemy BBs unless you're in very close range, but she still packs a punch, landing good 10k+ salvos on the upper belt and superstructure, as well as having enough pen to citadel cruisers at most ranges. And you always have the option to swap to HE. While the german HE isnt great in terms of DMG and fire chance, the fact you land so many hits and have great pen on them makes it still pretty reliable in case you are forced to shoot at nose in ships. The system is something that is currently being discussed. If you feel that there was a ticket you submitted where you got unfairly penalized, please send me the ticket ID and I can have a look. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Shikishima or Bourgogne for steel

Right now I know of no plans to remove any ships from the armory - if that changes, we'll make sure to give you ample notice. Fair seas captain! ~Sera
  9. Captains! Please leave your bug reports about the Public Test 0.11.11 here. Wherever possible please include screenshots and replays. We may reach out to obtain a WGCheck report from you. Fair seas!
  10. Goliath was extremely meta for a season. I don't see anyone saying that Goliath is a monster in randoms. Napoli isnt exactly seen as a ship that dominates randoms either. Same goes for St. Vincent. The game is just very different in competitive. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Update 0.11.11 - Dockyard

The Hamburg Dockyard kicks off the construction of IX Admiral Schröder in Update 0.11.11. The ship is armed with as many as eight 305 mm guns housed in four main battery turrets. She is well suited for combat at medium and short ranges due to her quite solid durability and decent armor protection for a cruiser. Closing in on a hostile ship will trigger her powerful, long-range and accurate secondary guns. To repel torpedo attacks, her “trademark” German Hydroacoustic Search consumable will certainly come in handy. The cruiser has good concealment and is able to quickly change flanks and take up any needed position owing to her Engine Boost with improved characteristics. Rules of the Dockyard The construction process at the Dockyard comprises 30 phases. You can advance through shipbuilding phases by completing Dockyard missions or spending 1,750 Doubloons to pass through each phase. The combat missions span 6 weeks of Update 0.11.11 and the first 2 weeks of 0.12.0. The Dockyard itself will remain in your Ports until the start of Update 0.12.1. In total, you can progress through 26 out of 30 shipbuilding phases by completing combat missions. Completing the 19th phase will bring you VII Renown '44. Upon completing the construction process, you will receive IX Admiral Schröder in the War Paint permanent camouflage with a Port slot, Commander with 10 skill points, and commemorative flag. If you complete the construction of IX Admiral Schröder by spending Doubloons, make sure to keep progressing through Dockyard combat missions. Completing each shipbuilding phase will bring you 250 Steel. All details about constructing IX Admiral Schröder are available in a dedicated article.

    T10 Techtree Cruisers useless...

I would say that cruisers are the class that scale the best with tiers. The higher the tier, the more relevant cruisers become in the power dynamic. At least that is my opinion. To say that they are useless is... both subjectively and objectively not true. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Shikishima or Bourgogne for steel

personally I would go for bourgogne because she is more of a unique playstyle than shikishima. There are ways to experience shikishima through yamato or satsuma, or even incomparable if its about the big guns, but the combination of reload booster and the increased speed for bourgogne is what makes her quite unique Fair seas captain! ~Sera

No, there is no information on this ship for now. You can consider her as "in dev hell" sort of. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Commander skill reset

Ubertron was indeed mostly correct that such things generally only happen when we feel it is appropriate to do so, which is generally when we make large systematic changes, but even then this is not a guarantee that we will always offer this from our side. Right now there are no free commander respecs planned. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Auction results

It's true that some ships have moved from tech tree to special/premium and that some premium ships have become available for a resource, but a ship "moving from one resource to another" such as flint/black/neustra is a rather rare occurrence and not something we have any plans for for now. Fair seas captain! ~Sera
  22. No, it is not the case that if you say that the rewards are good that we will necessarily nerf them next time because of that. The reason I am asking is just to gauge your opinion on this currently, and it is good to see that people are happy with the battlepass and the post-progression rewards. Also good to hear your opinion regarding the battlepass for next patch and the reasons why some of you may not purchase it next patch. Thanks for the input guys. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Auction results

No, there are no plans to change the currencies of ships. It's not something we generally tend to do - Black and Neustra were exceptions. They will be available for Credits later. My comment was referring to the FXP spent on the 80k coal, which is about in line with the price to obtain another ship of equivalent tier in FXP or RB. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

    Auction results

That is indeed about in line with existing FXP/RB costs, so not all that surprising indeed. Fair seas captain! ~Sera

How to become better in reading of the map?

I will preface this with one important thing - knowing how to read "battle flow" is one of the hardest things in the entire game to learn. Predicting how things will play out based on the position of all ships is extremely challenging and takes a lot of time and dedicated practice, but this is the result of extensive knowledge of how the minimap works and how to read it. I generally tend to go maximum size, and then 1 smaller. That also seems to be the most common for the people around me, but in general making the minimap bigger and enabling all the details such as ship names is always a benefit. Unironically yes - as a CV you will spend more time looking at the minimap than you do looking at anything else since picking targets is the most important thing. If you're not striking a target or dodging AA, then you should be looking at the minimap. It definitely can help you build the habit of looking at your minimap. This is a tricky one - with enough experience you can usually "guess" in which square the DD will be just based on prior experience and deduction, but this is not something that you should be worried about at this point. it's better to start your journey slowly in smaller steps. Start with building the habit of looking at the minimap, then you can go into reading it bit by bit, reading what actual information is there and then you can go into deducing other things from the information available. If you immediately try to skip to step 4 without the other steps, it won't work out. So as mentioned above, try to build the habit first of looking at the minimap every 15 seconds, 10 seconds, 5 seconds. Then once you have this habit of looking at it every 5 or so seconds, you can start working out what information is available to you on the minimap. Check to see which enemies are spotted, who is spotting you, who you can shoot, who can shoot/torpedo you. Then you can start making conclusions. If I move there, then I will be able to shoot these enemies and do XYZ etc. And then after you have that down you can start using all the experience you built to start deducing information. e.g. I'm spotted at the start of the game and no enemies are spotted yet. OK this means there is an enemy DD spotting me. If the enemy DD is as fast as our own DD on our flank, I wouldn't be spotted here, so it cant be the enemy daring. So it must be the enemy shimakaze heading straight for the cap from the spawn, because that is the only way the DD could be so close to the cap to spot my Cruiser. But this will take a very long game. Hundreds if not thousands to fully understand and master this. At every step of the way, there is no shame in simply taking a couple seconds of rest and just ask yourself "ok, what now" and thinking about it for a couple seconds. Fair seas captain! ~Sera
