Download Update 0.11.6 In addition to some new premium ship flags, this update brings a replacement for the Constellation of Memory flag. (By the way, if you don't have that one already, try to redeem code 2ON16HT3XH1BIT22 to get it, maybe the code is still active.) Constellation of Memory is replaced by the banner of arms of the former Metropolitan Borough of Greenwich, London, where one of the biggest maritime museums in the world is located Premium ship flag Collingwood is replaced by the banner of arms of Cuthbert Collingwood, 1st Baron Collingwood, namesake of the ship To install, move the folder res_mods from the mod download to folder World_of_Warships/bin/5915585 in the World of Warships installation on your computer. The mod is also available in Aslain's Modpack.

Download Update 0.11.6 First of all, an important or maybe not so important announcement - Ever since I took over the Unique Camouflage mod, almost four years ago, I implemented the Type 5 camouflages of tier VI and up as special camouflages. I think of the special camouflages as the keystone of this mod, and I also enjoy making them a lot. They are ten to fifteen times more effort than regular camouflages, however. And the constant stream of new ship lines and early access events in the game means that I am in a constant rush to get new camouflages ready for the release of the new lines. In addition to that, there are things like event permacamos, bonus camouflages, plane camouflages, superships, or filling gaps in the mod, that I need to take care of as well. It has come to the point where it starts feeling like a second job, and a stressful job at that. This project is a labour of love, and that means it's important to keep the love alive. So, in order to prevent me from burning out and abandoning the mod, I have decided to reduce the number of special camouflages for tech tree ships. There will still be some specials, but other Type 5 camouflages will be regular camouflages, like the Type 1 and Type 2 have always been. This will allow me to better manage my workload and ensure the longevity of the mod. I hope you will understand. This update adds camouflages for the British battlecruisers from tier IV to X, except Renown at tier VI, which didn't get finished in time and will be added in the next update. The Type 5 camouflages for tier VI, VIII and X are special camouflages. The Type 5 for St. Vincent is based on the pattern worn by HMS Albatross in World War II: US destroyers from tier IV to VI have had their models remade for this update. Again, the existing Type 1 and Type 5 camouflages have been transferred as faithfully as possible, and Type 2 camos have been added. Also, the standard plane camouflage pattern for permacamos has been changed from the default stripy pyjama pattern to monochrome, while we wait for possible plane camouflage settings to be added to the game. To install, move the folder res_mods from the mod download to folder World_of_Warships/bin/5915585 in the World of Warships installation on your computer. The mod is also available in Aslain's Modpack and the Wargaming ModStation.

I did an oopsie and forgot to add a texture and a camouflage entry in the XML file. The download file has been update to rectify that, please redownload Update 0.11.5 to apply the fix. Sorry for the inconvenience (Admiral Yamamoto was not happy when he logged in yesterday and saw what his new flagship looked like, let me tell you that...)

Black's identifier is PASD709_Black. You'll find two Ranked reward camouflages and the normal permanent camouflage in the XML file.

Download Update 0.11.5 This is kind of a bits and pieces update: Type 5 plane camouflages for tech tree carriers are now all adjusted. The US destroyers from tier VII to X, which get new models in this update, have got their existing camouflages transferred to the new models with as little change as possible. In the process, they also got Type 2 camouflages. I have begun making Type 1/2/5 camouflages for superships. For the supership Type 5s, I want them to be very minimalistic and modern, but still special. The idea is to make the ship look like it just left the drydock a few hours ago, with a fresh and clean coat of matte paint, almost no rust, a clean deck, glossy accents. It's hard to capture that in a screenshot, so you'll just have to check it out in the game. We're beginning with Satsuma. Bonus camouflage Constellation of Memory gets a slightly belated replacement. To install, move the folder res_mods from the mod download to folder World_of_Warships/bin/5771708 in the World of Warships installation on your computer. The mod is also available in Aslain's Modpack and the Wargaming ModStation.

Download Update 0.11.5 Azur Lane - Avrora is replaced by a flag design with a heraldic representation of Aurora Borealis. French Cruisers is replaced by the flag of département Bouches-du-Rhône, where the city of Marseille, namesake of the tier X ship introduced in this event, is located. To install, move the folder res_mods from the mod download to folder World_of_Warships/bin/5771708 in the World of Warships installation on your computer. The mod is also available in Aslain's Modpack.

Download Update 0.11.4 I have some new and some updated things for you: The new French heavy cruisers get the usual Type 1/2/5 replacements. The Type 5 camouflages are dazzle patterns in the style of cruiser Gloire during World War II. Plane camouflages have mostly been modified to look as good as possible. I still need to do Type 1/2/5 replacements for some higher tier carriers. On those higher tier ships, the planes have been given interim monochrome camouflages. I plan to get the missing patterns finished for the next update. Where possible, bonus camouflages have been changed as well to make them look good on planes. Some patterns just don't look that great on planes. But the camouflages are still primarily ship camouflages, so I will keep designing them for ships, and if they happen to look bad on planes, I can live with that. With the announced separation of camouflages and bonuses, you should soon be able to avoid using patterns that don't look great when playing carriers. In the mean time, if you want to hide all camouflages on planes, there's a mod for that (Disclaimer: I haven't tested it myself). Also, I have updated camouflages that have already been part of the mod for a long time, but didn't look particularly good: The Mosaic camouflage and the Azur Lane Siren camouflage have been completely redone. To install, move the folder res_mods from the mod download to folder World_of_Warships/bin/5624555 in the World of Warships installation on your computer. The mod is also available in Aslain's Modpack and the Wargaming ModStation.

Download Update 0.11.4 I'm still slowly working through the backlog and getting back to releasing replacements before the flags become available in the game. Premium ship flag San Diego is replaced by the flag of the city of San Diego Premium ship flag Maya is replaced by a flag design inspired by Japanese nobori banners, using ship name calligraphy To install, move the folder res_mods from the mod download to folder World_of_Warships/bin/5624555 in the World of Warships installation on your computer. The mod is also available in Aslain's Modpack.

It depends... a mod that gives every ship its own camouflage will use more textures than the vanilla client, so you will need more RAM for your graphics card and the game has to load more files at the start of a match. However, it shouldn't be a big problem unless your computer is very old. The only way to find out is to try, you can always uninstall the mod if it's too much of a performance hit.

If you want more historic camouflages, you should absolutely check out @Lutjens41's camouflage mod: https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/topic/134405-0113-simply-grey-paint-historical-camouflage-v1 The author puts a lot of effort into researching historic camouflage patterns and bringing them into the game.

Will Type 1, Type 2 and Type 5 camouflages still exist (as purely cosmetic camouflages)? -
Download Update 0.11.3 This update adds Type 1/2/5 camouflages for US submarines. Since the historic submarine camouflages of the US Navy were somewhat plain, I took some liberties with these and gave each of them designs inspired by US Air Force nose art. I had a lot of fun coming up with the artwork, so I'll just show all of them, like your annoying acquaintance who forces you to watch through all 1283 photos from their vacation. All credit for this idea goes to the unknown original artist. It just fit too well to not use it for this hidden and silent killer: And this is my take on the historic nickname of USS Balao: With this update, the game will display the ship camouflages on aircraft as well. I have not really prepared anything for that yet, so expect some camouflages to look bad on the planes. Adjusting the camouflages for aircraft is on my to do list with a high priority, however. To install, copy the folder res_mods from the mod download. Open the folder World_of_Warships/bin in the World of Warships installation on your computer. Inside, you will find one or more folders with numbers as names. Open the folder with the highest number and paste the folder res_mods into it. I'll update this post with the installation path once I have the update installed myself. The mod is also available in Aslain's Modpack and the Wargaming ModStation.

Download Update 0.11.3 Adding some flags for tier X premium ships, some flags for new premium ships, and some replacements for flags that were added in previous updates. Weird City is replaced by the flag of Dolní Hořice, Czech Republic; a real-world flag featuring a bat (Bless the Czechs and their municipal flags!) Italian Destroyers Part 1 is replaced by the flag of the Republic of Pisa, one of the four parts that make up the coat of arms of the modern Italian Navy To install, copy the folder res_mods from the mod download. Your file has a size of 256x156 pixels, while the original file in game has 139x103 pixels. I know that in theory it is possible to use a higher resolution, but only within certain limits, and I don't think I entirely understand these limits. I always use the exact same size as the unpacked file and have had good results with that. So my suggestion would be to scale down your file to 103 pixels height and then trim the width to 139 pixels (or, if you want to preserve the aspect ratio, scale it down to 139 pixels width, increase the height to 103 pixels and then adjust the alpha channel so that only the 85 pixels of flag in the centre are visible and the 9 pixels above and 9 pixels below are transparent).

Take for example the barbette of the secondary turret in this picture: I cannot read the coordinates in the texture, but I can still get some information from it: It is orange, that means that it is in the red-yellow and not in the blue-green texture. It also means that it is probably in the bottom left quarter of the texture. I also know the approximate dimensions of the part from the coordinates that are partly visible. Now that I know where to look and what to look for, I can loook for the candidates in the texture and paint everyone in a different colour – red, green, blue, red with blue stripes, red with green stripes, and so on. After that, you should be able to identify the part in the game by its colour. Of course, this is rather time-consuming, so I only do that if the part is really important for the camouflage. Most small parts are not important enough to devote so much time to them.

Did you already send me the file and I just can't find it?

If you could send me your file, I'll take a look at it. Maybe I can see what went wrong.

Ah, now I understand, you want to mod a flag yourself, right? To do that: Use WowsUnpacker (from here) to unpack the in-game flag that you want to change. In your case that's content/gameplay/common/flags/germany.dds Install paint.net (from here) Open the unpacked file in paint.net Open the image of the design that you want to use instead, in your case the uncensored German ensign of 1938-45, in paint.net Place the design that you want to use into the unpacked file, scaling it so that it fits the size of the unpacked file. Consider adjusting the colours as well so that it doesn't look too bright and colourful. Save the unpacked file as a DDS file. Use these settings (screenshot courtesy of fellow mod maker Krautjaeger): Install your modded file by placing it in the appropriate mod folder, i.e. World_of_Warships/bin/1234567/res_mods/content/gameplay/common/flags/ . The number 1234567 in that path is a placeholder for the highest number that you can find in the bin folder. If everything went okay, you should now be able to see your modded flag in the game.

Well, that's not good. The game is rather picky when it comes to displaying modded flags, but I thought I had found a working setup. Hm. If you're up for it, we can try to find out if there is a better file export setting that works for you as well. I can't promise anything, though :) First, I would like you to answer these questions so we can narrow down the problem: When did the problem appear, in version 0.11.2 or earlier? Did it appear immediately after the update or some time later? Can you see the flags that are not changed by the mod, for example the country flags (e.g. the French flag on French ships)? Does the problem appear also when you use other flag mods, such as this one or this one? If you uninstall the mod, are all flags visible? Did you install the mod from the download in this thread or from a modpack such as Aslain's? Do mods that change other things in the game, such as this one work?

Download Update 0.11.2 Despite spending a considerable portion of the past weeks watching the news and just generally feeling terrible, I have somehow managed to put an update together... The new Italian destroyers are added in the usual way, meaning Type 1/2/5 for tiers IV to X, with the Type 5 camouflages from tier VI up being special camouflages. The new Fields of Tuscany expendable camouflage is changed as well: To install, move the folder res_mods from the mod download to folder World_of_Warships/bin/5315992 in the World of Warships installation on your computer. The mod is also available in Aslain's Modpack and the Wargaming ModStation.

Download Update 0.11.2 Slowly working on the backlog of flags. New in this update, among others: Premium ship flag Agincourt is replaced by the royal standard of king Henry V at the battle of Agincourt Premium ship flag FR25 is replaced by the banner of arms of Séez commune, which shared the same fate as FR25 and changed hands from France to Italy during World War 2 Now that some of the tier X premium ship flags were made available, I guess I should add them to the mod as well. I have this planned for he next update. To install, move the folder res_mods from the mod download to folder World_of_Warships/bin/5315992 in the World of Warships installation on your computer. The mod is also available in Aslain's Modpack.
