This mod gives almost every tech tree ship at tier IV and higher unique Patches, Stripes and Tiles camouflages, changes the designs of many expendable camouflages, and also some permanent camouflages. This mod changes many of the commemorative and premium ship flags to make them more believable and more diverse. Download latest update (12.6) There are two things that I don't like about the flags in this game: 1. some flag designs look out of place on a warship in the first half of the 20th century, and 2. most premium ship flags look very similar. This mod aims to change that. It is important to understand that the aim is not to be historically correct. You will find flags that didn't yet exist during the era that the game is set in, and you will find fictional flags. Making the flags historically correct is impossible anyways, unless you find a way to keep your teammates from hoisting a Soviet flag on a US ship, for example. Some flags have an obvious real world replacement that can be used: Premium ship flag California is replaced by the flag of the US state of California. Premium ship flag Strasbourg is replaced by the flag of the city of Strasbourg. Others can be replaced by real world flags that have a connection to the in-game flag: Commemorative flag Iron Duke is replaced by the flag of the city of Wellington, New Zealand, which has the same namesake as HMS Iron Duke. Commemorative flag The Rabbit is replaced by the flag of Chanthaburi Province, Thailand, which has the Moon Rabbit in its seal. Some flags don't have real world replacements, so I made designs that are based on the real world: Commemorative flag Remember Gallipoli is replaced by a design featuring the Southern Cross (taking the shape of the stars from the flag of New Zealand, but the colour and the number of the stars from the flag of Australia) and the bronze Anzac A badge, worn by veterans of the Gallipoli campaign. Premium ship flag Indomitable is replaced by a flag design based on the 1946 jersey of the Great Britain Lions rugby team during their tour of Australia and New Zealand (the team travelled there on board of HMS Indomitable and gained the nickname The Indomitables). And for some flags I came up with entirely new designs: Commemorative flag Restless Fire is replaced by an abstract design featuring the Bagua Lí, representing fire in Taoist cosmology. Commemorative flag Manjuu is replaced by an abstract design. You can find all the changed flags in the flag list. You can also find the sources and licenses under which existing designs are being used, if applicable. This list will get updated as new flags are added to the mod. Download Update 12.6 Among other things, the new Spanish flags get diversified a bit: Premium ship flag Numancia is replaced with the flag of the municipality of Garray, where the historical site of Numancia is located. Spanish Cruisers commemorative flag is replaced by the flag of the historic region of Castile, namesake of the tier X ship of the new line. Hm, I'm not aware of any problems with the mod at the moment, but maybe it's a rare problem that doesn't affect everyone. Let's narrow it down: Did this mod work for you in the last update? Or has it never worked for you? Do you have other mods installed? Which ones? Do other mods work for you? Do other camouflage mods (such as this one https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/topic/134405-125-simply-grey-paint-historical-camouflage-v1/?page=1) work for you? When you apply a Tiles camouflage to a tier IV+ tech tree ship, what happens? Does the ship get the standard in-game Tiles pattern, or does it stay grey, or something else? What happens when you apply a Tiles camouflage to a tier I-III tech tree ship? Can you see premium ship permanent camouflages in the game?

Download Update 12.5 With this update, British supercruiser Edgar gets her unique camouflages. Novosibirsk is added as well so as to be ready when she becomes available. The Tiles camouflage gives the ship the Warsaw Pact military parade paint with white accent lines, answering the age old question: What if Red Square had been a pond? Yes, please do post bugs! That helps me because I'm far from having all ships in port myself. This looks like a missing texture, I'll look into it and fix it with the next update. Thanks for reporting!

Unless I have missed some news, it is the same as it has always been: you can put any files that you want into the current res_mods folder, meaning you can add your own mods after installing mods from a modpack. You just need to keep in mind that the installers will probably wipe the folders upon installing, so you shouldn't keep your source files there, and always put your own mods there after the installer is finished.

Which camouflage do you mean, the permanent camouflage or one of the camos from this mod? Preussen and Kurfürst have almost identical textures, so it's probably possible to switch the camouflages without having to edit the texture files.

Download Update 12.4 As the second European destroyer tech tree is added to the game, it is also added to this mod. The camouflages for this line use a variety of colours, reflecting the fact that the ships come from many different countries. What these countries have in common, however, is a history that often saw their navies having to improvise and make do with what they had. This is the inspiration for letting all camouflages have transparent parts revealing the unpainted, rusty ship, as if they had been applied in a hurry with limited means. The Ranked and Clan camouflages for Flint and Black (Ultimate Crocodile, Marlin, Ultimate Mustang, Ultimate Wolf) have been replaced by single colour schemes. Yes, not particularly remarkable, but I figured if you're the type of person to use this mod, you probably won't be using those camouflages, and vice versa. So this is just for you to not have to look at the camouflage on other players' ships. Permacamos that don't look terrible aren't really the main focus of the mod, but I'll think about it.

I generally don't do requests, sorry. The thing is, you would like the U 47 bull, and then I change it. And then someone else who liked the laughing cow and asks me to bring it back, and I change it back. And then someone wants me to write "69 lol funny number" on the boat. And in the end I spend all my time changing the camouflage back and forth without ever making everybody happy. If I find the time for it, I'll see if I can make an alternative texture for you. But don't hold your breath, I'm a busy person... It will be probably faster if you check out the tutorials for texture modding and/or camouflage modding and add the bull yourself. (Apart from that, I am convinced that WG will bring the famous boats U 47 and U 96 as premium/special ships, once they have figured out how to put them at tier IX so they can make more money from them.)

I would take the second option with less yellow. I like it when camouflages don't look the same everywhere, but have areas with many smaller elements and areas with few bigger elements. But, as always, that's just my personal opinion.

I'll need more information if you want me to help you. What did you do (post the colour scheme from your camouflages.xml), what did you expect to happen, what happened instead (post screenshot from the game). Otherwise all I can tell you is that something went wrong, and you already know that yourself...

I don't have the textures with me at the moment so I can't check, but if you change a colour in the colour scheme and it changes a different colour in the game than the one you wanted to change, the only logical explanation is that you changed the wrong colour. When I edit a colour scheme, I like to start like this: <colorScheme> <name>MyColourScheme</name> <color0>0.000 0.000 0.000 0.800</color0> <color1>0.300 0.000 0.000 0.800</color1> <color2>0.000 0.300 0.000 0.800</color2> <color3>0.000 0.000 0.300 0.800</color3> </colorScheme> These colours make the the actual colours from the camouflage texture appear in the game (i.e. black in the texture is black in the game, blue in the texture is blue in the game, and so on). It allows you to easily identify which colour you need to edit. You could try changing the scheme to this, finding out which colour you need to change, and then revert back and make your changes.

Download Update 12.2 Panamerican cruisers seemed like a good opportunity to work on designs without a lot of expectations of how a "proper" camo for this nation/faction should look like, and bring out some slightly more unusual colours. The Tiles camouflage for Santander is expected to be finished for the next update. To install, copy the folder res_mods from the mod download. If you're one of the three people on the server who put camouflages on their submarines, these are for you. Patrie got Patches, Stripes and Tiles camouflages. And when Kunming and Joshua Humphreys are released, they will already have camouflages in the game.
