    Commanders!

I can see some farewell posts here, and since we have been interacting with each other for more than six years on this forum, I also feel quite nostalgic about the forum closure. Therefore, I would like to share my farewells with all of you.

Time is running fast, and everything is changing and evolving. As you can see in my profile, I have spent a significant portion of my working time here on this forum, either in the Czech or English section. In fact, the number of my posts means that I will finish as No. 17 in the entire history of the forum, with King ColonelPete being the biggest contributor of posts on this forum.

I know that, as a WG Staff member, I have some players who respect me and that I also have plenty of members in my "anti-fanclub." Nevertheless, I would like to thank everyone with whom I have interacted during both good and calm times and also during what we could call "not good times to be a community manager"... yes, I remember several of those, and trust me, it is never easy to try to remain calm and engaged when things are going badly.

On the other hand, I definitely want to express my gratitude to all of you for sharing your relevant and very helpful feedback. Together with other CMs, we have always collected and passed it further up the pipeline. I am pretty sure that some of you simply think that we never collected any feedback, but trust me, this process takes a lot of time, and we are continually doing that. It's just that gathering feedback is often done silently, so you didn't see the process live.

Anyway, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank all forum moderators I have had the luck to meet and work with. You did an amazing job keeping the forum clean, dealing with difficult and tricky cases, and I also understand that it is not easy to be both a player and a representative of the Staff. You did truly outstanding work, and once again, I would like to express my gratitude!

It has been a pleasure to be here, and I hope I will have the option to interact with all of you on other communication platforms, be it various Discord servers, Reddit, Facebook groups and pages, or any other Social Media and on streams as well. And, of course, I am looking forward to meeting you in battles!

Like a true captain, I will be here till the very end of this forum, which will happen this afternoon.

Good luck in your future endeavors and fair seas!

I wont say I am a fan of you or a anti-fan either but i do whish you fair seas and calm waters @YabbaCoe

I found the stream very cringe as it was obvious they were ignoring most of the chat.

According to them "a lot of people" have been asking for more carriers so they brought in these two:

So apparently more people want CV's. - sure they do. They probably did a poll in the office and the CV side barely won.

Well I now know what my next question on next week stream will be @EireannGamingNetwork so thanks for putting this up :cap_viking::Smile_trollface:

How would you know if he'd answered you? Discord is the work of the man who grew a forest because he wanted to hide a leaf. If anyone knows where WG staff post their answers on Discord I'd love to know.

He quoted me like you do in here and I quoted him back and then he went silent lol

  4. I kept repeating my question over and over in that stream and they kept ignoring it untill I wrote to another in there that I would keep on doing it. And suddenly Sera said that he had answerd on discord wich was only partly true because he didn't answer me if it was transparent to come 3 days before with the message that they are closing the forums. And them someone in that stream called me a lair it was so hilarious :Smile_trollface:

Wargaming's flagship game is surely their magnificent World of Warships. Unparalled in its design and development, it provides the playerbase with an unrivalled access to historically accurate depictions of naval combat history. World of Warships proudly pays homage to the Red Workers' and Peasants' Navy's finest traditions, exemplified by legendary Soviet ships like Arkhangelsk and Murmansk. No other country but Russia, steeped in rich traditions, could have delivered such a game with such an amazing potential. After all, Russia has always ranked among the world's most formidable naval powers.

It's been an honor. Endure the humiliation of today for the sake of tomorrow. Admiral of the Fleet Karasu, Task Force Yamato, signing off.

I am happy for the waifu community is mostly saved. Never had much passion for World of Warships; it was only due to their collaborations with Azur Lane that I kept playing this game. I will play it some more when they release the new AL content in the upcoming weeks and then hibernate until the next years collab.

My biggest regret is registering in 2015 and not joining the forum until late 2020. Back then I was active in World of Tanks Blitz... funny how its forum got abandoned but stayed alive due to the moderations ignorance whereas this one is getting the axe despite being active.

I don't know the rest of the forum much nor see any reason to type further. It was fun while it lasted.

Farewell all. Speaking as someone who has been involved in the game since pretty much the beginning and who always kept an eye on these forums during those years this is indeed a sad day. A wealth of advice, guides, tips and discussions that have helped a vast number of players improve (and in many cases probably kept them actually playing the game) is about to be tossed into the digital abyss for reasons that have been explained but still seem tenuous at best.

Thank you to all the helpful and knowledgeable people who have posted over the years and to those who I have encountered in battles. The last days In particular have shown the very best of this forum - people who are passionate about the game coming together to bemoan this poor decision and to send their best wishes to comrades they would never have known if it were not for a game with pretend warships in it. Its really highlighted why closing the forum is such an ill thought out idea - it shouldnt be about whats best for the company, it should be about this community (who have outdone themselves this week) who made the game the success it has been in the past.

I will continue to play and I will continue to moderate on the Steam WoWs forum (at least for now) if any wish to pop in and say hello, so I have no doubt many of us will meet again, even if its down the barrel of our gun sights :)

    Best wishes to all.

    Mupp out.
