Return of the First Battle Anniversary Gifts!
GoobyGrape replied to Seraphice's topic in News & Announcements
Greetings @YabbaCoe and Happy Holidays. When news of the fix went live I changed my birthday from November to 24 December in the hope that it would trigger the birthday gifts and coupon but to date I haven’t received the items; no notifications received either in game or by email. Would you be able to have a look at my account please and check that everything is okay and that I will receive the birthday gifts and coupon? I’m concerned that I may have messed it up by changing my birthday date. Thanks ever so much. -
Hello ZeMalm. Appreciate this was a little while ago now but did you ever get to the bottom of this? The exact same thing has happened to me today and I don’t know why. Thank you.

Hi guys, Would someone who has brought or obtained the base version of Brandenburg be able to tell me if you can buy the German Eagle permanent camouflage for Brandenburg separately for Doubloons in-game please? @YabbaCoe Not sure if you’d be able to help please? Thanks in advance!

@The_EURL_Guy Hello, Please could you or someone at Wargaming confirm whether or not you can purchase the Silk Sunrise permanent camouflage for Dalian for Doubloons separately, i.e. via Exterior > Camouflage? Or can you only get it by purchasing the Admiral Pack? Thank you. -

Update 0.10.7: Submarines in Ranked Battles

@YabbaCoe Regarding the Friesland-Groningen exchange, please can you confirm if I would get Groningen’s Commemorative Flag in exchange for Friesland’s if I were to make the exchange (I bought the bundle with Friesland’s Commemorative Flag when she was first introduced the game)? Having spent significantly more money to be able to get Friesland’s Commemorative Flag with the ship, I would hope to get Groningen’s if I choose to exchange as you (Wargaming) are disappointingly not giving us the option to transfer Friesland to The Netherlands Tech Tree. Thank you. -
quick question on incoming fire alert.
GoobyGrape replied to SkollUlfr's topic in General Discussion
I believe it's triggered when shells are fired at your ship (over the minimum range). I use Incoming Fire Alert on all my Cruisers and Battleships (rather than Priority Target) and I recall on occasion that the warning has been triggered when I've been in very close proximity to another ship but based on where the shells landed, I think they were fired at them rather than me. I can't be 100% certain that is the case but I believe that's how it works based on my experience using the skill. I hope that helps. -

Public Test of Update 0.9.6: Round 2
GoobyGrape replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Good Morning @TheWarJaC, As Crysantos and MrConway appear to have completely ignored my request to pass on my feedback regarding the proposed nerfs to premium Aircraft Carriers Enterprise and Graf Zeppelin to the appropriate people in the post below, post #49, I would be very grateful if you could do so please. I would also like to draw your attention to posts by @Widar_Thule in the thread below, he/ she words the position far better than I ever could. Directly negatively adjusting the parameters of the AP Bombs on these premium ships under the disingenuous guise of it being a global mechanic change is unacceptable and it is wrong. With respect I believe you, Wargaming/ World of Warships, are using the hatred of this class of ship to allow you to make nerfs to premium ships, something you have never done before understanding the backlash you would get from the community; look at what happened when you proposed to re-tier Giulio Cesare. As expected, the majority of players feedback about this proposed change is being clouded and fuelled by their hatred of the class of ship, you've only got to read the comments to understand this, CV's are "cancer" etc. Thank you for your time. -
@Crysantos @MrConway I would be grateful if you could make sure that this and other feedback regarding the direct nerfs to premium Aircraft Carriers Enterprise and Graf Zeppelin is fed back to the appropriate people please. It is unacceptable and it is wrong and attempting to dress these changes under the guise of a global mechanic change is disingenuous. Thank you.

This is exactly the point, thank you. It is plain and simply WRONG. -

They were all GLOBAL gameplay mechanic changes, some of which had an INDIRECT negative impact on many ships, including premiums. Directly reducing the Alpha Damage of AP Bombs is not. It is a SPECIFIC and DIRECTED reduction in there values and is no different to, for example, reducing the Alpha Damage of Main Battery Guns on a premium Destroyer, Cruiser or Battleship; Wargaming wouldn't dare do that because they know what would happen. Why should Enterprise and Graf Zeppelin be any different? After all, an Aircraft Carriers aircraft are their guns. In the case of Graf Zeppelin, this change would just further neuter the very small viability that her AP Bombers already poses as an effective weapon. -

Yet more nerfs to premium Aircraft Carriers under the pretense of a global mechanic change. I feel very strongly that you are crossing a line Wargaming and with respect I hope you will be called out for it and what it really is. When an individual purchases a ship in your game they are purchasing the product at the parameters advertised at that time, not what you decide to change it to at a later date; especially when you are making something considerably worse. If a ship ends up overpowered the responsibility for that is yours for not balancing it properly before you placed it on sale, the sale of which undoubtedly generated a significant amount of income for the company. You cannot and should not then at a later date make fundamental changes to the characteristics and performance of a purchased ship; not at least without offering a refund to individuals that are not happy with the ships new characteristics and performance. What rubs salt in the wound even more is that yet again this class of ship is being punished as you try to quell the discontent in your community about this particular class of ship in your game; again, you are solely responsible for the outcome of the CV rework. I very rarely, if ever, openly voice my opinions on such things but for me at least, you are crossing a line. From now on I will certainly think twice, long and hard, before purchasing any further premium ships if you continue with this underhanded and dishonest way of nerfing ships that individuals have spent money on to be able to obtain. Additional thought: I would also like to add that an outright reduction to the Alpha Damage of AP Bombs carried by AP Bomber Aircraft on the 3 premium Aircraft Carriers that have them, is a direct change to the parameter/ characteristics and performance of a premium ship; it is NOT something that has been indirectly affected as the result of a global mechanic change. In my mind they are two VERY different things. This is a direct change/ nerf, NOT a side affect of a global change in game mechanics (it's probably worth mentioning that I personally would not define the Alpha Damage of an Aircraft Carriers AP Bomb as a "global mechanic"). -
