Losing karma by getting team-killed and reported by teammates

I honestly did not know it was a topic that old. It appeared quite high in a topic list about Karma. My apologies.

    PINK DUE TO BLIND BATS

I would have no problem to div up with you when I see you in-game. Nor with anyone else for that matter who does not mind playing with a not regarded good in the stats player :) At the moment my Tier V ships are : Zuiho and Konig. Going for the Kongo next.

I like sailing not too close to the action with a Kongo and firing from a distance. because at a long distance it is a great ship while up close it is not that good at all against three cruisers.....

Seems to me Drake sees shooting from behind islands and farming damage like the Call of Duty multiplayers of old saw camping. The infamous... "Headshot" springs to mind.

    PINK DUE TO BLIND BATS

@Caughtintherain Oh I do have played with friends before in battles, several actually. Quite nice to see people actually communicating and coordinating I must say. But since I at this time am grinding up to a tier some of my friends already managed to reach I play a little less with them at the moment. When one does not play the game for a while one can of course lag behind which makes the need for grinding to the next tier ship more substantial. That does not however mean I do not still play with my friends occasionally. Just not always in this game, since there are many other games equally great to play online with groups of people. To answer your remark about what I wrote in response to the intellect comment written by Excavatus, that was a clear case of :

Ah, a typical answer by a "school of hard knocks" person. I fart in your general direction. Come back when you have a PhD, then try again, preferably more eloquent.

I have been reading this forum for about a year now, lurking. So no. Not at all a false statement.

Coop is an excellent way to train. That is how I personally use it and implement the advice given after which I will try it out in random. Which does not mean I do not still mess up bigtime in random, mind you.

Sorry but I do not get my self esteem from playing a game or from what people write about me on a forum after I write some pretty silly and probably totally ignorant things myself. You can spit in my face all you like, insult me all you like, even lose your temper with me and go totally wild. It does not concern me really. Why ? Because that would only say a lot about the person losing it and way less about me. So by all means become uncivil. I will take the advice given though, as well as study and implement it since it seems to me to be sound advice. So I will try to become better at this game. If not just for the team, for myself. It might be difficult to fathom for some of the members on here, but I do not play this game to receive some perceived respect, importance or recognition of who I am in real life. I play because I like the ships. And yes it is arcade, and I like Multiplayer simulation games way better to be frank. Nothing beats MP in Arma-III and working closely together with a squad, flying missions with a group in DCS and working together with a large team in IL2 Cliffs of Dover/Il2BoS and coordinating via teamspeak. That does not mean however that games like WoWs, WoT, War Thunder and other more arcade style games should not be played by die-hard simmers of which some, but not all of course, would love to see some more historically accurate and correct battle tactics implemented in the game by other players as well as themselves. That being said, even though the age-level in World of Warships is generally higher than the general age group in other arcade style shooters, some of the attitudes of several of the players in-game are imho comparable to the attitudes of your average 15-16 year old adolescent throwing a tantrum. (Like I did when I ranted on about blind bats in another topic because of getting a pink name for 8 battles in a row LOL, but at least I knew full well what I was doing at that time and know I never grew up really. ROFL) So.... Know that I do not at all take myself serious and can actually laugh at as well as about myself. Therefore I have no issue if you do the same. The more serious people around me get, the less serious I become. My apologies in advance for it will happen again.

So basically having read a lot of what has been posted on this forum, no one can do anything right in others people's eyes... Which means WoWs is a pretty good example of the real world and the petty quirks of human beings, just like Facebook. ROFL.

Read up on historic WWII fleet tactics, you might understand why I did that. ROFL. Apart from that, the second reason I decided to escort was because I have become pink in the past by fighting in the battle since my torps hit allies. So I am careful. In how far is that playing a "bad game" I wonder. LOL.

Losing karma by getting team-killed and reported by teammates

I lost Karma today because some "oh look how good I am" player reported me for escorting a carrier and asked others in that team to do the same. This while another team where I did that job loved it. But, since real bad karma always hits those who cause others trouble, I feel sorry for that guy really. Apart from that I see most arrogant players as well as people who get all worked up and start swearing in-game and become all frustrated for what they probably are in real life :

Win rate is nice to see your own progress. But as soon as you start to think you are becoming someone really important due to winning or get arrogant because of it you have defeated yourself as well as the goal of the game *having fun* basically. I decided to escort a carrier today in two battles with a dd. One team was happy (no points but chased away some ships and smoke screened the carrier), one team had members wanting to report be because of "bad Play" I lost some Karma, but hey, I do not care, it is a game to me after all. (pink stuff I do care a little about as I also care about teamwork) That being said, if you start taking the interweb and what happens there serious or let what happens there influence you in real life you are a very wrong path imho.
