As a DD primary player myself I say don't lose heart. Spotting is as important as capping and sinking even if the rewards seem less. I have had games where the positioning of 1 DD exposes the whole enemy team.. A visible team can be killed easily.. You may not get much in the way of XP but this is not a solo game and in any game there will always be those with low scores but victorious nonetheless... As you move up the tiers this ability becomes more valuable.. For example, if a DD can perma spot enemy radar Cruisers, they cannot surprise your DD allies, they are easily forced back or sunk and you have the benefit of being able to fire torpedoes into them if you wish..remembering that once you fire the enemy will have a rough idea of your position by backtracking the torpedo angles. It would be nice to get better rewards for spotting but it isn't there yet... the thanks of your allies will have to suffice.

OP for that extra special flare you should have posted thus: Oh cruel world, "raising your voice" cruel game and even crueler DD's with their one shots, goodbye my Cruiser brethren of Tier 5 as I end my games with WOW's. Something weird here... every time I play my Asashio or +B I am up tiered to Tier X... So tell me what's your little secret?

Decided to dust off my YUGUMO.. and what a game. Keeping at bay 5 enemy ships from B: Yugumo, Jutland, Yamato, Musashi and Iowa... With an allied Musashi alone we kept all comers at bay... talk about hard work..lolz.. After killing Iowa and taking a heavy chunk off Musashi with torpedoes the Yugumo had to go next because as long as it remained alive we could not win... I chose to close down A after the enemy retook it from the north with Udaloi coming in from the south and enemy Yugumo came out of A guns blazing at me and it took but 1 salvo to finish him off whilst avoiding his torpedoes.. at the end after capping A with Udaloi we hid from the approaching Minotaur and at the end 28 points was the difference between defeat and victory... Karma up by +3... Between us (Me and Musashi) we killed all the ships trying for B...

In game but 2 of 4 games stats not recorded... end of the game the screen freezes and I am back at port with no record of playing.

Play a game in the Furutaka.. get to the end... screen freezes for about 40 seconds and then you return to port without score or result.

I believe the balance will come by players actively supporting each other. Imagine 2 GK's and 2 Hindenburgs together the AA potential of that group would deter an attack surely? Or choose AA heavy ships combined... If you have 2 enemy CV's per team border hugging or camping will result in death.. Better to be with the pack than isolated... and you still have your own allied Cv's.

8,000 elite commander XP takes a captain from zero to 3 why waste the Doubloons? Get a basic captain and just raise his skills by 3... far cheaper to use xp..

I have been in a few battles with 2 Carriers per side.. I don't have a problem with that.. If we can have multiple Battleships, Cruisers and Destroyers why not Carriers...

First 2 games, Gearing and Asashio. In my Gearing took out a Z-52 and Chung Mu within 3 minutes and secured a cap. Then contrived to attack/perma spot enemy Massa and Seattle until destroyed... Game 2 Asashio. Capped A and was asked to spot so I perma spotted almost the entire enemy team for the whole time after capping. We had an amazing Midway player on our team and I had full air support for the whole game... every target I F3 our CV slaughtered.. ended the game chewing on the rear of the enemy Midway with main armament... someone said Asashio torpedoes are a great way of breaking up the enemy... but you've just got to remember the 20km torpedo range when firing... our GK had a scary moment at one point...and so did I... "No Pink!!!" Karma went up by +3... Liking the Asashio...

Although I didn't get the CE I had some real bad graphics, flickering etc etc... I resolved by turning my graphics settings to low restarting the game and resetting to high repeating the restart.. So far nothing further.

You all know me as a DD player and today I purchased the twins.. Asashio and the Asashio B.. Wish I had done this weeks ago...what a DD...an absolute dream to play... Okay, so she cannot torpedo a DD or Cruiser... but all you need to do is spot and the team does the rest, which is easy I may add with 5.4km concealment.. So far 3 games... she loves to perform and those torpedoes hit hard.

You may well be right.... ... In my last game the non DD's left an enemy Seattle and Cleveland alive for the whole game. Between them they accounted for 3 of 4 DD's... I was killed in the 19th minute by Zao being the last surviving ship after being pinned by radar.... the language directed to the big guns from the dead DD's was at the very least colourful... Oh well, onto the next game where maybe...just maybe....

I have a bug report. In my Asashio B I have played 3 games. 2 defeats and 1 victory (Just Now) However, the stats show only 2 games played and 2 defeats. To be sure it wasn't an issue of time I took 2 screenshot at different times...1040hrs & 1046hrs.. Can I have my win please....

@aboomination Another dream dashed on the rocks... thanx... Just found a bug... played 3 games in the Asashio-B, 2 defeats and a win just now yet summary doesn't record the win... just to be sure checked summary twice over 6 minutes.
