I have finally reached my 1,000,000 fxp milestone, now I am considering exchanging for the Alaska because as a DD player I find her a worthy opponent. But, as a DD main I am curious as to the strengths of the Friesland so is there anyone with the Friesland and do they rate her as a DD? Opinions on both ships would be welcome. Thank you in advance.

Well I love my Shima and my Gearing... so playing the offspring of their mating could add a totally new adventure to this game for me.... One waits with baited breath the outcome of such a union...

Are you talking about ship xp that you need to buy doubloons to convert? I am talking about fxp accrued not purchased.. in fact I will not spend money to convert xp. To those that replied with opinions about the ships in question thank you... I have food for thought.

As a DD main, if you take the time to learn the radar capabilities of your opponent and the Hydro capabilities you'll have very few problems as a DD player... Take you about 30 minutes to work it out and if you're struggling write it down.. it becomes second nature after a while honest.

Did you need counseling for a long time after?

It Happened immediately after a game... rebooted the game and it was gone. But, I have noticed other glitches.. Last night in a Gearing game I sank the enemy Gearing at 7km and 25 seconds later I was sunk from his torpedoes.. I didn't have my Bandicam running unfortunately but the guy I was with from my team also received one torpedo and could not explain it either... So there are some weird things going off.

I had this today after returning to port with Massa.

Had a debate with another forum member in another post as to the effectiveness of the Asashio or Asashio B... Now he called the ship a hack and basically no good for anything.. just another Kagero. So, I took out my Asashio whilst recording the session to prove Asashio is a good little DD if played right. Hopefully, now the player will understand why I rate Asashio and his opinion may change as a result. Sit back and enjoy as Mashum plays... So close to my Kraken as well.... oh well can't have it all...

1200 bxp isn't that bad.. and obviously your team won because of your eyes... Win, win for all.

I always say that playing a DD well is NOT always about getting high scores... in some games I have had low damage scores but have been vital in giving my bigger gunned allies the opportunity of putting the enemy ships down because I have spotted them continually. If you can keep an enemy team spotted.. they're usually dead.

I took my Asashio out once... I won.. but once was enough.

I spotted, I capped, I torpedoed, I countered, I nearly got my kraken... what was not right?

If you force the enemy team back then isn't that a good thing? You can then torpedo, cap or spot with impunity. This game isn't all about doing damage, although it's nice to achieve, it's about putting your opponents in a position that they cannot win. (Or am I missing something?)

Just took my Asashio out for a spin.... some people don't rate her at all.

So I am still waiting for the answer to my question: DO YOU HAVE THE ASASHIO OR THE ASASHIO B GIVEN YOU COMPARE THEM TO THE KAGERO.. I would be interested to know how you come to your conclusions about the ASASHIO. So do you have an ASASHIO or not?? I might also point out unlike the Kagero the ASASHIO can have smoke and TRB.... As to what happens when you encounter low numbers of BB's then you become a capper and a spotter.. and you support your allied DD's... Where did ASASHIO hurt you?

So you think as an Asashio player I don't understand what my torpedoes can hit... priceless... You also think you need to tell me about the enemy seeing my torpedoes.. priceless... You think you have to tell me about taking Asashio into ranked events... I do quite well actually in ranked on the occasions I bring out my Asashio or Asashio B because with my concealment I can see all and they cannot see me... if the enemy team is exposed to all it can be sunk and not every opponent remembers what Asashio torpedoes can kill so a salvo of torpedoes causes some confusion... As to NOT supporting a DD ally... why would that not be then? I have guns too, I have smoke and at 5.4km concealment, I can be the eyes of my ally as well as 6 extra guns. Let's say my ally is the Kitakaze you think he'd not welcome smoke and eyes from an Asashio... and if as happens now BB's cower in groups imagine the DW torpedo salvo being followed by a second full salvo within 10 seconds (TRB).. As to saying it is a ship for potatoes I must assume you mean me too... So do you have any of the ASASHIO twins? You obviously know so much. @Europizza in a game last night in my Yugumo I scored 13 torpedo hits and even with +20% flooding chance flags I got 1 flood.... CV & BB cry babies who are brain dead numpties are gradually taking the fun out of the DD class... and WG seems to think that a zero competitive game will keep competitive players and not bore them to death.

Do you play ASASHIO do you even have one? I have both and they are great for spotting if all BB's are dead... and for your information an ASASHIO can hold par with other DD's if played right.. you do know it has 5.4km concealment don't you? Anyone with half a brain also knows beforehand that DW torpedoes cannot hurt other DD's which makes them great when supporting a DD ally because you cannot sink the ally but be a great asset to his attack...

So why call them premium? From the English Dictionary: Premium relating to or denoting a commodity of superior quality and therefore a higher price. Someone doesn't understand the meaning of the words used if as you claim 'premium' is not supposed to be better.... You make this up as you go along don't you @MrConway You know when this game is dead because it's only fit for the brain dead... think carefully about where you look for your future employment because I wouldn't want this on my CV (and I don't mean a Carrier either)

@Capra76 Makes you wonder about the people in control of this games direction... We move from 2019 with all the crap from 8.0 to 2020 where they are attempting to pacify groups of players who just want total supremacy regardless of what it does to the game... At this rate PVP will become a thing of the past and all these complainants will only ever have Bots as opponents.. won't that be fun.. Usually, you'd expect games like this to listen to the majority of players and not pander to crackpot ideas from players who are about as competitive as a squashed Slug. What will you do WG when you drive away your loyal player base?

Don't give them any more lunatic ideas... they won't be satisfied until this game is fit only for 5 year olds..
