As a DD main, I am sorry but I think that they are garbage..... I am up to Skate and will probably stay there ... 3 games so far, abysmal teams, so I try to carry... 4 torpedo hits on a Scharnhorst nets me (Wait for it) 13,000 damage.... I think I shall stay with my other lines.

You don't need to buy them will real coin or Doubloons...

5 minutes into the game we are two ships down.... DD goes Yolo and dies then the Cruiser does the very same literally next minute... Nothing for me to do but Tank and take the fight to the enemy... But there are so many... I am last of the big guns, the last fighting ship standing (With the CV) alone... fighting to the end... You would think a well done a +1 from the other players wouldn't you.. Not on your life.

I did but only half seriously.... but what if? A good DD player knows when to attack an Island hugging Crusier.. usually when he is focussed on an approaching BB...

Kagero with CE and skill set CE is pretty much the same as Asashio... the only difference being her torpedoes kill all.... If the OP gets to know the Kagero and can play her well consistently then the OP will be ready for Asashio... to play the Asashio now will result in frustration for the OP and the team... With super concealment, great torpedoes, with long ranges and good speeds the Asashio makes up for the limited targets she can attack...

I have both Asashio DD's... With 905 battles you are nowhere near ready for Tier 8 DD Gameplay... My advice is run the IJN Silver Line until you reach Kagero... Asashio is a specialist DD and as every game differs there is no one size fits all... I am a DD main, I am a good DD player, please leave her in port until you've at least got to Kagero...

Are you ready for Tier 9 or Tier 10 Gameplay yet? What's your highest Tier for Silver BB's? All very well buying these ships but if you cannot handle them you'll get no enjoyment from them and your team mates will be adversely affected by your performance.

Well, In MY Shimakaze (Shima has not got TRB remember) I have proven in the past 8km @ 80 knots or 6.4km @ 85 knots are not the easiest torps to dodge and if the Cruiser is behind the Island.... he's just dead...radar or not.

I made it to the Vasteras.... just. I shall just await the time they become Silver Ships...

Almost all IJN DD's from Tier 8 to Tier 10 have TRB (Torpedo reload booster) yet Shimakaze is seemingly alone. Who thinks TRB should be granted to Shimakaze... Added a Poll.

Have WG changed the dynamics of flooding? I seem to be getting more floods than ever before... 14 torp hits giving me 8 floods in one game.. 6 torp hits and 4 floods in another...

I haven't had a Liquidator since January 2019, 3 weeks before 8.0 came out. I am hopeful that with this change, which I have also witnessed in my Mutsu, Scharnhorst, Tirptitz and Schors, it means my next one won't be far away...

First game in today. Kitakaze... Epicentre map... Just beautiful.

I never hardly got any before.. 14 torps hits in one game gave me 1 flood... and so on...

Done that many a time with my Kitakaze too... for some reason they forget the Kitakaze has TRB.... I usually fire at the direction they are on the RDF move count to 25 fire again.. that second wave takes many by complete surprise.

Yes.... your brain is always active, your eyes always on the mini map... and when you manage to sink a Moskva or DM... the roars of laughter. You want dull and boring play BB's...

@Mahaaret Radar means a DD player has to think, It means a DD player must watch the mini map, It means that when the DD hits F3 on a Radar cruiser the team focus to kill it. Radar makes DD gameplay fun and engaging, if YOU cannot handle Radar YOU are doing something wrong.... I see Radar as a challenge and i love challenges, only a fool puts himself in the trap. Learn the capability of your radar equipped opponents, don't YOLO, if it isn't safe to move a certain way then move in a way that is safe and if faced by a radar ship 'STAY OUT OF HIS RANGE'.... even if it means you retreat. Imagine being able to stop BB's camping... Imagine the BB's finally having to pull their weight in game... No more Island hugging, no more sniping from the border lines... How many games have you see where the BB either sits at maximum range or so close to an island as to be totally useless to the team... I watched yesterday a Yamato refuse to enter a cap, sit right up to an Island, because a Cleveland was to his front and the Cleveland had less than 2/3rds health remaining... Think about this... a useless BB player will either get so fed up of being sunk game after game, instead of being carried, that they'll either improve their gameplay or leave the game to those who ARE competitive and go back to playing Tic-Tac-Toe or Minecraft (Where they belong)...

Really rude childish Division in game: So I decide to brush the Cobwebs off my Kitkaze... I end up on the Sleeping Giant with four caps. With the help of Donskoi radar, he absolutely played a blinder and knew his ship well, I sank a Cruiser and stole the cap from their Kagero.. Kagero obviously ran (It is MASHUM in a DD). The enemy Kagero then steals our southernmost cap so I retook the cap he'd stolen, chased down and sank the Kagero with the help of an allied Abelmarle who came in from directly opposite. I then turned North East hit boost and smoked for a Cleveland and North Carolina who were being badly mauled by an enemy De Grosse and Izumo ( I had asked them to stop firing, to stay alive, before i got to them so that they would go dark..) then I set to work driving off an attempt by FDG and Izumo to steal another of our caps zones.... Asking the Cleveland and North Carolina not to fire earned me a flurry of abuse from a Division who were kiting the top end of the map... trying to explain that losing a ship cost us points did not stop their abuse. 'You're a moron' they cried, ' Bringing a Kitakaze into the game'.... that was the least insulting comment that they used... Anyway, thankfully, my allies survived and did indeed ceasefire until they were fully smoked up.... I drove away both the BB's so their steal attempt on our eastern cap failed miserably and we hit 1,000 points seconds before Izumo would have eaten some torps... In Port I thank both Crusiers for their help. Excuse the Map pic... not very good with graphics...lolz.. At the games end I did not get a victory tally, as the game returned me to port, so I have no screenshot of results....
