CV population according to "spreadsheets"
Taliesn replied to ChatBanForSayingTruth's topic in General Discussion
Knowing roughly where the CV is means sweet f.a., you still can't shoot him. Why are you equating planes with the actual ship anyway? And a ship that needs to get close to the enemy team in order to, hopefully, land a few torps at that! You get your planes shot, you still have a hefty reserve. Your DD gets shot, you end up in the bottom of the sea. Also, DDs are too powerful now? Yeah, whatever. And no, deletions do not happen quite often. Someone gets obliterated because he overextends early on and half the enemy team focuses him? Yeah. But deletions? Nope. Just do a little experiment and count the number of DevStrikes in a few matches. You will be hard pressed to find more than 1-2 per game. If CVs keep doing an average damage similar to BBs but crucially without the need to expose themselves (ergo having usually more time to keep shooting/attacking) what do you think would be the result of giving CVs Alpha? You have the impunity of being safe at the back whilst doing DOT. And that's fine. But you seem to want Alpha too. Sorry, no. That bit WG got right at least. Edit. I've just looked at your numbers with BBs. Certainly it's not you doing the deletions and I'm not sure you would be deleting my CA unless I missplayed badly. -
CV population according to "spreadsheets"

Yeah, no. A DD has (unless low tiers, and we aren't talking those) a few radars and other DDs to be mindful of. There is noone spotting you on a CV for the better part of a match and even if there is, maybe a Yamato would be able to reach you early on. Have a guess at which is the ship class that is usually deleted first in a game and which is the one to survive the most (relative to numbers at least) So swings and roundabouts. And just so we compare apples to apples, Shokaku and other tier VIII CVs have a similar or higher average damage (54k to 74k) than their tier VIII BB counterparts (47k to 74k) Very rough numbers, I'm sure there is a lot to pick there. So the DevStrike deleting doesn't happen that often, as you well know. -
No the Bismarck is not weak just the players.

Why? There's no name and shame there. Unrelated to that, I see a Siegfried on the fourth pic, red team. -

You do realise most ships in all classes do chip away here and there right? It's not as if we have a DevStrike every other minute. You also get to chip away whilst peacefully sitting at the other side of the map with next to no chance of being spotted, let alone hit. So welcome to the world of every other player. -
Long smoke, radar, very good concealment, nice enough guns, top lol torps... Black is still great. Very few (if any) DDs are good against CVs anyway, and on top of that you can expect the number of CVs to diminish once the initial rework fever has passed so it shouldn't be a major consideration. I can't see why would you compare them to a BB and BC, absolutely different playstyle.

Zao you say? I feel you bro In fairness, it's only 181 battles so ten more victories in those 181 battles would move the WR to a respectable 54% but even so...

Thanks mate, as it happens I tried the time honoured: And it worked. Go figure.

Sooo, I know there is probably a section for this but lets face it, everybody checks gameplay. Anyone has had this issue? Somehow my Hindy doesn't have the premium camo on (I didn't disabled or removed it) and I can't load it back. It says Transaction Error. Any ideas why? (Probably some stupid thing I've missed but thanks in advance)

I'd swap the CVs position. Blue (why not green, or am I colourblind now?) to start top left and Red to start bottom right.

Was that some "fina ironía"? The spanish section of the wows forum was shut down on March 2018. Have you tried in Fuego y Acero? http://foros.aceroyfuego.com/topic/1103-problemas-de-ping/

Just out of curiosity, do you have a second account or have gone hidden lately? You haven't played any battles since June according to wows-numbers. I remember another post from you about a week ago claiming some damage numbers in Fiji that didn't seem to make sense and now this one...

Powercreep of older ships (for example German BB "Scharnhorst") and possible ways to remedy it...

Agreed. She'll have a great time again when the italian cruisers enter the game in like 2029 -

Opinions on an accidental friendly torp
Taliesn replied to UncappingBadger's topic in General Discussion
There is no superfluous info on the mini-map. You can bet there is usually a lot more chat spam than actual information in chat. And even a Stop GK (however stupid it may be) can be flooded and hidden behind BBs asking for air cover in a no CV match and the like... -
Opinions on an accidental friendly torp
Taliesn replied to UncappingBadger's topic in General Discussion
Your torps your responsability, I'm afraid. Also, AFAIK Harugumo doesn't come equipped with Shima 20km torps and Kurfursts don't magically appear out of nowhere. i know mine doesn't. -
Ah, thanks. So he was definately showing even more broadside when he was blapped. Who would have thunk it...

Physician heal thyself and all that... Not sure what you didn't understand or disagree with in my sentence, so let me rephrase it for you: The one and only thing common to your nearly 10,000 battles in Random is YOU. So if your stats do not improve with time (and they should, however slowly) we can be fairly sure why that isn't so. There is only one BB with detection consumable and that is Missouri. German BB's hydro is 6km and by the time you get to use it you are in deep crap anyway. At short range SovSoy's guns are very good. Play the ship to her strenghts. There have been better people than me in this thread offering you constructive criticism and advice, but judging by the way you respond and your comments, I don't think you deserve it, so there.

Has someone checked in his relay if he had the same angle against the reds when he was blaped? For all we know he was finally turning towards them after the near Devstrike. Anyway, that was fun. Except for the Alaska, mind.

Next we will be told that the playerbase likes to play multiple ships (one battle each to be precise) instead of a few preferred ones, after looking at the evidence from every second week of September where, only coincidentally, WG gives a SC for every tier X ship you have if you play a battle with them. But it's got nothing to do with that, oh no. WG wants people to play low tiers --------> Sells a tier VII silver ship with a huge boost to move as fast as possible from her and up to Des Moines. Suuuuuure thing. I know a common trope around here is to say the playerbase is pond life and I'm afraid somebody at WG has swallowed it hook, line and sinker. -
Sweet Mother of God! I never look at stats when playing in Division. Your stats in random solo are poor because, well, surprise surprise, you are not a very good player. Soyuz's camos are no different to the ones you put in any other ship. Wtf mate? Do you actually mean concealment? In which case I've already pointed to you that Soyuz has a good enough concealment compared to all tier IX BBs. Guns are BB guns. Better than most at close ranges, crap at long ranges like most BB guns are. Bismark or any other fully specced secondaries BB might be fun once every ten battles, but more often than not is not an optimal configuration. You are better served with FP for example. So there, a hint on how to play Soyuz. AA is not worse than you average tier 9 BB and I would guess it is actually good. But feel free to post any numbers to back your assertion. Range is good enough. If you are shooting things at 20km+ you are doing something wrong. And your stats would seem to confirm that. Random solo will NEVER improve. It is 24 people with litttle coordination and very different skill levels and motivation. Your PR and WR will improve if you become a better player. No other way around it, as you can't be forever carried by your team. So you don't give a damn about stats? Fine. Don't come here to give crap about ships if you don't know the very basics about them and about what you are doing in game, though. And no, you don't know very well how most of the ships are to be played. That much is clear by, guess what, looking at your stats. Finally, you should be banned for the mongoloids bit.

Here's another idea (something similar might have been posted already, so sorry): Make a new Campaign. It's been a while since the last one. At the start select one country, then class, then line, and finally branch if applicable. Lets say I choose german cruisers. Phase One: In ships of said line complete x missions. Prize is a 10 point captain named Commander #yournick. Well, not Commander #yournick but Commander Taliesn, or Commander Noob1234-2017 or whatever. Phase Two: With your Captain you must complete x missions with Hermelin. Phase Three: With the same Captain you complete X missions with Dresden. Phase Four, Five... you get the drift. Phase Six: After completing Phase Six on Konigsberg your Captain gets his first buff: say +50% XP Phase Seven... Phase Eight: After completing Phase Eight on Yorck your Captain gets his second buff: +20% credits. Phase Nine Phase Ten: After completing Phase Ten on Roon your Captain gets his third and last buff: Coal from every match at a rate of 1% Base XP (for example) or if you feel adventurous, steel at a 0.5% Base XP Phase Eleven: After completing Phase Eleven Captain Taliesn gets to sail a nice Grand Admiral flag/pennant for the ship he is trained for. No need to forget and buy the entire line, for Christ sake, how many players out there keep them all in port anyway? I know I don't, I probably have 2-3 at most of every line I have. I will need to buy them, and that's fine. You have your grind, we have a nice Captain with our nick and some economy/XP buffs and some fluffy pennant. And Bob's your uncle. -

No. Main reason players hate NTC is because the end goal is a bunch of in game buffs. -

WG is counting on most of us ending up thinking fück it I too want my super-Hindy or my Mega-Kremln. If this thing goes live as it is (ultimate prize being 3 mega buffs for several ships) I'm outta this game.
