It's not rocket science, simple maths really. The more ship&captain combo with a low WR on the enemy team, the higher the chance for you to win. Than works for Smolensks, which are waaaaaaay more annoying than effective. Unless you believe the "I got killed in my GK by a Smolensk in 30 seconds" brigade.

Your eu tokendrop for the first 4 containers
Taliesn replied to Jvd2000's topic in General Discussion
I don't recall seeing anything bigger than 40, so still a long way to get the Vasteras. Liking Visby so far and I'll keep her because I already finished the permacamo mission. -
Can't believe nobody has posted this beauty yet:

Mayhap you should pay less attention to the chat and a bit more to that little map at the other side of your screen. Just saying...

Is there a reason to play anything other than Soviet ships?
Taliesn replied to M0bius_One's topic in General Discussion
Did a quick calculation on my ROLFSTOMP spreadsheet and on admittedly not many games, I got a shitty 50% with glorious russian ships. It would appear if you want to win more battles you are better off going US (70%WR) or Germany (68%). Go fupping figure. -
Ok, so basically what @Sunleader said, but to sum it up, it matters because what you call a disease is simply part of the nature of this and every other competitive online game out there where most people can't/won't put the effort to learn.
-
Disclaimer: I only play wows online. Is there any remotely similar game that teaches people how to play?

In that post you just missed the Ides of March by a few hours though...

@Palubarac you called? So I went to tiers VII-VIII: Week 3 results, a slight increase in ROFLSTOMP %, from 1 out of 5 to 1 out of 4. Battle duration has gone down a bit, but not noticeably. I can't say I've found much difference from tiers VII-VIII to IX-X to be honest. Accumulated through 3 weeks: Still can't see this 'every other match' thingy. I've enjoyed Z-39, Fiji and Prinz Eugen, but I'll probably be back to IX-X next week.

The game NEVER required for you or anybody else to use your brain. EVER. And that's the reason why it is succesful, see. You need to understand that the majority of the playerbase doesn't care about winning (or stats, nudge nudge, wink wink) And no, for as long as I've played this game nobody in Ramdoms has cared about teammates. Now and again you did get a guy who would throw a smoke for you or coordinate in some fashion, and that is still the case, but it hasn't changed for the worse. Feeling bored or not as enthusiastic about something as you felt two years ago (or whatever) is just life, mate, not WG's fault.

Interesting... they (accidentally ?) omitted the Russian/Soviet 130 mm guns from tables regarding the upcoming IFHE changes!
Taliesn replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
So what about Kutuzov? I don't think I have IFHE on any other ships (may need to check) -

Then I would respectfully invite you to post your whine in other threads as I created THIS ONE precisely for those who care about numbers, percentages and an attempt at having a clearer picture of ROFLSTOMPs. And you do not help.
-
We've gone through this before. Chart a number of continuos games (first three screenshots from the after action report) and come back to me to prove you being in ROFLSTOMPs more often than not. Until then, you are just venting. One single screenshot doesn't prove a thing. I've had six loses (edit) over my last 6 games. Had 6 wins in a row before that. Doesn't mean that happens every other day, and indeed it is a lot more common to win some and lose some. And no, you are obviously not the worst player around (but you are not very good either, eh?)

week 2: And accumulated through weeks 1 and 2:

I would say the percentage of good players complaining about ROFLSTOMPs is about the same as the ROFLSTOMP rate, maybe 1 out of 5. In other words, 80% are bad players who, logically, tend to lose more. I don't see many good players complaining because they win too quickly, I get you. But that should match with what I've just written in response to @BLUB__BLUB. 20% games being decided heavily within 12 minutes is hardly a "happens every other game grrrrr" issue, and I can't see how this rate should be much higher for other players, irrespective of their skill. I can see how the rate could be a bit higher or indeed how they could be in the receiveing time more than in the winning one, but that's about it, until somebody can prove otherwise.
-
Thank you for your response! I play almost exclusively tiers IX-X these days, I'll pop up in some tier VII-VIII games next week but that's my line in the sand, I don't enjoy lower tiers (I'd appreciate it if you could contribute though) I can see the argument for tier X battles lasting longer, but the bolded bit is IMO all kinds of wrong though. 1 out of every 5 games is hardly an issue. And the whole point of this thread was to try to take a reasonable approach to what constitutes a ROFLSTOMP and have some facts about their occurrence, however small the sample (in terms of battles, ships used, tiers...) The last thing we should do is factor how PEOPLE experience Roflstomps, when all we usually get is a whine for this or that battle but they fail to produce any significant data or sample other than a screenshot of the battle at a certain point. It's all bias, poor perception and a lack of self awareness in most cases, so I'd take the true bit in "true experience" with more than a pinch of salt. I don't think it is a coincidence either that most of those whinning about these ROFLSTOMPS are average to bad players. It would be like trusting a bunch of colour blind people to get their green and blues right instead of, you know, looking for yourself.
-
And since you can't be ar$ed to provide what you call "crap", I will choose not to believe you on what your experience is and think that, as you kindly admitted, you were just venting/whinning. And for that there are a number of weekly threads, I will thank YOU very much for your invaluable contribution and leave it at that.

Do that for the next 100 games without skipping a single one and then come back to this thread to share your results, please.
