the pure torpedo stealth ship is taken by subs now ... no point to release new torpedo boats ....

Dear WG, it would be nice if you could create also a special Training room mode for the new CVs so we can actually TEST THEM PROPERLY !!!

So after enabling all those modes, you can see other limitations, which are usually showing class and tiers, but here we simply selected relevant ships for the PQ-17 event.
Though you are correct, that those ships can't participate in the Asymmetric Battle mode, but still rules of those missions are stated very clear and honestly, there is no issue to have that icon there.
Or Ranked since it is T10 this Season ... so only options are Randoms, Coop and Operations .... oh yeah 2 of 3 Brawls as well ...

Agreed DM was focused a lot even if 2 BBs were really more important and closer targets they still tried to hit me at max range. Useful if you play it right and make the bots waste most shots, so your BBs can get easy close range crossfires but not very rewarding or easy to play.
I have noticed that cruisers have priority over DDs ... at least yesterday not every BB was shooting me but if the cruiser was closer it got the attention ... anyway I use this to tank for my teammates that are in trouble, get near, open up and see all the bots turn guns towards me saving the low HP BB :-)

oh ... don't worry, they'll tweak and adjust the design, this is just the initial concept ... look how submarines started out and where they are now ... fun and balanced ....

hmm ... so 8m credits, 10k coal, 80k fxp and 1k steel as minimum to invest after you get all the tokens from the missions .... actually not bad ...

Alaska, Marceau, Khabarovsk, Ostergotland ... Alaska is great if you manage your line of sight properly. Marceau just rips .... Khaba is a problem due to the way bots behave but it is usable. Oster is interesting, if you manage torpedoing properly it can achieve good results.

If not the game crash when i move another (non WG related) window on the other monitor. This is most likely something with the way WoWS is using my NVIDIA RTX3060 driver.
I reported the initial issue to the support and they came up with a solution - please try it, they might solve your issue.
correction, they provided a workaround. the issue is still there you are just not experiencing it anymore since you are using a different configuration ...

Please no specialty gimmicks ... if you cannot make them work without that then we don't need them ...

QuoteYou can complete this combat mission chain playing

VIII Tirpitz,
VIII Wichita,
VII Duke of York, or
VI London in Asymmetric, Random, Ranked, or Co-op Battles, as well as in Brawls and Operations.
WG, are you sure about that ? I mean we already joke about your coding and balancing incompetence in many cases, but this is truly special. You cannot even read your own articles and rules ...

Also ridiculous that's the only mission where asymetric isn't an option. In al the other missions it is. I think it is to force people into other gamemodes, especially that broken toxic
we call "Randoms".
and it is base XP so you need a lot of coop battles for that ... they know what they are doing ...

With smaller team battles you don't time to sail around at the back if the enemy team decides to move up as a whole because they will just wreck those of your team that did move up, because there are caps, then finish off the potato or two who decided to sit back and not really help the team. Most of my losses are from that scenario where one or two decides to park behind a back island or sit in spawn. It's almost like they want the odds stacked against them.
it does not matter that you lose in any of the game modes ... it's not like you get fired from your job because of it or anything ...

Right now it's like diving in the deep end before fully learning how to swim. When I was in Gold last season there were plenty of newish players in Tier X just more experienced.
Example: First game today guy said he just got Salem how does he play it? I said ranked is not the place to be testing ships.
did you ask him/her what other T10 ships does he/she have ? Getting Salem and getting the 1st T10 ship are not the same ... you are jumping to conclusions here ... also it is perfectly fine to test ships in different modes since how you would play the Salem in Randoms does not necessarily dictate how you'd play her in a Ranked format with smaller teams ...

they cannot FOMO Campaigns ... they tried once Campaigns that can be bought for money and that experiment failed afaik ... also time-limited campaigns were not popular ... so no profit in Campaigns = no new Campaigns ... it is the same story with maps and game modes ...

I agree this information should be (easily) available in the game itself.
Regardless, OP stated it was hard to find any information, while a 2-minute search involving Google already provided the needed results.
point being, he had to search for essential information OUTSIDE of the game client ... now imagine you'd have to google for the consumables a ship can use that you do not have in port ... we have the situation with ships that are no available in the game client but you can encounter them (Smolensk, Gremy and similar "discontinued" ships).

> Google "World of warships submarine detection"
First article is a link to here : https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/game-guides/submarine-guide/
Read through the article ... oh what is this ?

Took me less than 5 minutes to find.
WHY are you so lazy ?
If you need to google essential stats outside of the game client there's something wrong with the game client. Either the mechanic is too complicated to describe properly or the game client is not designed to accommodate that information ... either situation is bad ...
Remember when HE pen was added to the client ? For years it was a simple rule, then it got complicated and it was added to the game client information. Submarine related information is not visible at all in many cases ....

Btw, I don't think there are many griefers in Wows, but the few that do should be addressed / get punished imo.
However, due to the nature of the game, I think it's difficult to distinguish actual griefers from accidental disconnects / CTDs.
you cannot from a single event, but you can track and score multiple events and evaluate those ...

Its WG fault that cant make a decent mechanics for some of them
I liked alot the rts cv's but when i decide to start playing them the made the revamp of them and i didnt bother againSubs again i liked and played alot Silent Hunter games but how they work here is meh .....
Something similar here ... I don't have an issue with CVs or SUBs as a class themselves, just the implementation in the game sucks big time ...

15 minutes ago, lup3s said:I understand that; how would you set-up an automated system then ?
The inactivity period is there to detect
playersgriefers who stay in the game but do nothing for prolonged periods of time.Disconnecting leads to a period of inactivity, and can thus cause this penalty.
Making automated monitoring systems deal with every possible situation is often very difficult if not impossible - since
playersgriefers will find a way around it.I rather have them too strict than too lenient, but that's just my 2 cents.

Yes, it is best practice to punish legitimate players wit the griefers ... that's how your game gets popular ...

Sounds like a good way of trolling tbh
(not saying Bear would do this, just saying a person who would WANT to do this might actually like this).
you know there are many factors that can be considered and there is no perfect solution ... however why punish people when there is no clear evidence ? yes there are situations where this cannot be proven but guilty unless proven innocent is the wrong approach here ... basically we are all considered malicious actors every time this occurs anyway by default ... and that's not something that should happen ...

1 minute ago, lup3s said:Disconnecting your internet cable has the same effect. How would you distinguish between genuine accidental disconnects or forced disconnects ?

because he tried after getting back ? I mean come on, an a-hole would disconnect and not connect again or continue in a different battle ... then the penalty is appropriate ... but he connected back and actually even did something. his problem was the inactivity period in the battle, not inactivity as in action ...

no stats for Asymmetric Battles, but I have started working on the Oster towards the Halland ... I hope to finish it by the end of the patch ...

I have forgotten this thing exists as it is buried in an article that is no longer on the front page. I never understood why there is no "Active event" section on the webpage that tracks links to articles with ongoing active events ... but anyway ... same status for me when I finally found which stupid article the thing is buried in ...

Changes to Asymmetric battles – Update 12.5 (DB 458)
in Development Blog

I had to work my behind off for this result, mostly trying to not get hit by everything on the surface ... blue booster for ship XP, no premium, not the first win of the day ... WG if you want us to grind, make the rewards worth it. Currently There is no point beyond the first win of the day.
