    Interesting. However those on the ships looks like normal clocks, don't match the description from the link. I have found one mention of range dials on french ships and they also talk about a setup of numerals for 0 - 9 on the "clock". The 2 I have available ingame on french DDs are set up like normal clocks.

    Sorry NO. Operation Pedestal was a convoy action suitable for a Scenario/Operation type of gameplay but not for any kind of Random battle scenario. The main objective on each side were supply ships, not the enemy fleet itself. Main attack force were AIRCRAFT on both sides .... So try again ...
  3. I preferred the old system. You can no longer use enemies as shield in close quarters as the enemy torp boats can just dump torps as they wish and not worry about any consequences.

    Please do provide examples where submarines took part in fleet actions and actually killed ships that were either not already heavily damaged (Midway) or were alone and on their way home. Subs served at most as sentry lines and to finish damaged ships. I mean really, name ONE battle where submarines played a key role other than scouts and larger surface fleets took part in them.

    I have not played a lot this patch, so might be confirmation bias, but my DD main armaments (turrets and to greater extend torpedo launchers) are getting destroyed much more often and much more easily. I do build my ships with PM and Main armaments mod 1 as a rule. However just today, in EVERY game I got at least one torpedo launcher permanently destroyed and I was mostly shot at by other DDs. This does not seem right.

    Do give up on that dream already. This was asked since before the rework hit live. Nothing happened, not even a mention of "we are considering it". So I guess there's a architectural limitation preventing this feature to be implemented.

    Air strike works like Radar or Hydro in this case. You can sit behind an island and launch airstrike behind hard cover. Torpedoes are incapable of that, they need a clear path from launching position to expected hit position. Both are delayed action weapons (they have the longest delay from launch to impact) with torpedoes being variable with distance and Air strike being constant. Basically there's one disadvantage shared with torpedoes (delayed action) without sharing the other ones (dispersion worsens with range, clear line of travel between launch and impact). Air strike has the most flexibility even compared to shells as there is no firing arc that can be blocked by islands. Also your "dispersion" is not affected by lock on or distance. The hit area is the same no matter what. Still there is some more data needed before we can start evaluating how Air strike affects the game. At the current state (up to T9) it seems it is not that much of a problem for the victims.

    That's what interests me as well. Those famous videos were with tripple GL airstrikes and we have yet to see those in the wild. Seems like a repeat of Italian cruisers, on release all were crap except Venezia due to special pen angles. This might be the same case ...

  16. Well for one thing Flamu has no clue what he's talking about here. The "SERVER" in this case should not refer to the hardware. Moving to a new HW platform these days is easy and I don't think they are running on Physical hosts anymore anyway. It's more the architecture of the server "SOFTWARE" that is the question. And given WGs inability to fix the client in many cases (Port being the heaviest resource hog while nothings actually happening there as an example) I'd be willing to bet the server software architecture is not really up to par to handle f.e. 15v15 ...
  17. While this actually confirms the validity of that argument, it also undermines it. The argument made was too simple about a 12v12 setup disregarding ship types/abilities etc. So there's no reason things would not work in 15v15 as well as they work in 12v12. The main problem would be the tanks ... with up to 12v12 there's a theoretical limit on the incoming DPS. With 15v15 this changes ...
  18. But that is not a problem of WGs making. They cannot be required to teach English to everybody involved with the game. I mean they are trying to keep the information up in quite a lot of languages. So that's a non-argument.
  19. What's unclear or confusing about simple sentences like: Reload time increased from 3.2 seconds to 3.4 seconds ? Or Reduced the duration of Surveilance radar from 30 seconds to 27 seconds ? You have a problem understanding those ?
  20. Well Flamu is obviously biased and outright wrong on some points. F.e. he tears WG a new one over communication of balancing decisions because WG is claiming there's no communication gap. But WG is correct here. There is no communication gap because there is no communication. Balance changes are announced but not discussed. The announcements are clear and to the point. So Flamu is clearly wrong and biased here. And there are multiple examples of this kind of bias throughout the video.
