PSA: Recent community incidents and our actions

So St. Petersburg said: "Oh f4ck them ... I don't care", and it took 2 days to translate that from Russian properly into other languages. Thanks for being at least thorough on the translation this time around ... -
TBH he does not care anymore and you can see it in the effort he put into the "review". However, he has enough experience to get a decent feeling about a ship after 2 games. Not the gimmick, just the ship ...

Official response delayed to CC fiasco

Well they don't have many variations on "Communication issue/gap" left unused ... I guess they are trying to procure a 2 sided dice to help with the process ... -
Wargaming shitstorm reaches outside media

please don't, he's a clown by now ... -
I see you don't trust numbers and prefer "experience" well any further discussion is pointless at this point ....

That's a mathematical certainty .... for a 1001 CV players evenly distributed into 7 tiers, you get 143 payers per tier. That means 71 matches per tier ... so a total of 497 games for 1000 CV players evenly distributed into 4 tiers, you get 250 players per tier. That means 125 matches per tier so a total of 500 games Per tier matches gone up significantly while the total number of matches is also higher .... Now compare tier 8: In the old system, a T8 ship could see all CVs from T6 to T8, so 4x71 matches = 284 total In the new system, a T8 can see T6, T8 or T10 CV, so 3x125 matches = 375 total For T10: Old system T8,9,10 = 3x71 = 213 New system T8, T10 = 2x 125 = 250 Any way you look at it, the result in reducing tiers is an easier MM and more games with CVs with same number of players.
-
No it is NOT. As I stated, it was possible in the old system to have CV players in queue and never have a game, because they could not be matched (different tiers). With the same number of players in the queue NOW you will get a game. Or put it your way, the rework reduced INFINITE waiting times in some cases to FINITE waiting times in the same cases. Which in itself is an accomplishment :-))
-
Not only that. In the old system when tiers were matched, you could have 7 CVs waiting in the queue and never see a CV match because they were one each tier (4 to 10) ... This is no longer possible, in 7 CVs and only 4 tiers you have to have a repeated tier and thus you will see a game with CVs guaranteed. That's also the reason why we will never ever see CVs in the missing tiers. It would drastically reduce the number of CV games.

LittleWhiteMouse leaves the CC program

I am not really sure that post is not a 10/100 troll ... nobody can be that dumb, can they ? -
I don't get a display like that so you have mods installed, no matter how up to date, this can still be a bug in the mod ...

He about sums up why the CCs are no longer wanted by WG and the reason for the new affiliate program ... WG don't need passionate players to spread the game popularity, they need marketers and advertisers ... So the CC program is being killed ... I don't think we'll hear ANYTHING about that from WG, they will just silently ignore the whole situation ....

What you think Weegee's answer will be next week in response of the CC's walkout??

Wargaming will rejoice at the CC exodus...Here is why
Hugh_Ruka replied to WascallyWabbit's topic in General Discussion
I don't think you get it ... the old CCs still retain a huge portion of the playerbase ... it's not like the will STOP creating content ... Just look at Flamu ... he's still the largest English speaking streamer on Twitch for Warships ... The new program is based on new players and them buying ships ... and if anybody with a brain looks around the internet they will find lots of traces of this disaster and think twice about spending money on a game with uncertain return on that spend. So the new program will die quickly as new players are not really welcome to the game. Low tiers are a crap show and when you buy a high tire premium you get an even rougher start ... no, there's no genius to be seen here ... -

LittleWhiteMouse leaves the CC program
Hugh_Ruka replied to Miscommunication_dept's topic in General Discussion
About damn time ... She should have done that after Yukon ... WG alienated their top QC person. Now things will go south really fast ... LWM, thanks for all the work you did for us ... -
well it's not like the torpedoes do not explode when target is not pinged .... and CVs are mostly stationary anyway ....
-
From the Wiki: Thus, the formula is: Drange / (Vtorp * 2.6) * 1000 = Treaction Alternatively, one could use a conversion factor of 0.0026 rather than multiplying the result by 1000: Drange / (Vtorp * .0026) = Treaction As an example, the reaction time of an incoming Japanese Type F3 torpedo, acquired beginning with Yugumo, would be: 1.9km / (76 knots * 2.6) ≈ 9.6 seconds Whereas the reaction time for an incoming Japanese Type 93 torpedo — found aboard stock Shimakaze — would be: 2.5km / (62 knots * 2.6) ≈ 15.5 seconds So Balao: 70 knots / 1.9km = 10.43 secs 89 knots / 2.4km = 10.37 secs

Sooo.... I got a U-Boat and this seems to be a thing...
Hugh_Ruka replied to Gvozdika's topic in General Discussion
rate of turn for the homing torpedoes needs reducing a lot ... no way they can keep up with a DD at those speeds ... and minimum activation distance needs increasing ... so the sub cannot just surface right next to you and blow you up .... -
Apparently subs in coop are a.....'total succes".......
