Also please allow us to ping a specific water SURFACE area as a target beacon ... pinging on the minimap is not understood properly and sometimes used for other communication (like heading and position). Basically we need a better area designation to communicate possible invisible threats than minimap ping.- 47 replies

sure you do, but there's a difference of eating the full damage and just 1/3 for the pen ... and you can heal back more from a pen than from a citadel

I think that only affects the camos ? I mean it does nor remove the selection, it just display something else. f.e. I can see the Halloween camos available in port however when I select it they are displayed as the standard permacamo. Sam should be for the captain. EDIT: oh crap, you were right ... then that's a stupid bug anyway. it should display them normally just no effects ...

Learned a valuable lesson today: If you in a DD, don't try to hunt subs unless you have numerical superiority, you will die. So I am ignoring submarines. It's like with CVs. Cannot do anything about them, just ignore them. -
Commander issues: 1. Today, I have finished the Transformers mission chain for the 3 point commander (either Khab or Gearing). I selected the Gearing options (Bumblebee). I got a Patrick Blackwell 3 point commander: Where's Bumblebee ? 2. I have noticed that my Reserve is now 84 places long filled with 0 point captains for various submarines from the Armory bundles. Those commanders were not dismissed with the Submarine rental expiration ? Not that I'll ever need the reserve places but it seems that after a full Reserve view was removed with Commander rework, nobody is checking this during testing and such bugs happen. Good job WG ...

What apology ? All they said is: "We are sorry that you feel that way ..." I have not seen anything in the sense of: "We did THIS and it was BAD, sorry for that ... we'll never do again ..."

Why should we pay that much for a tech tree ship ? Early access is not a selling point ... Also PLEASE for the LOVE of GOD tune down the audio in the Armory .... it is freaking loud and since it does not have a global setting for sounds, I get a jump each time something new is there that I need to mute ...

for a start it would be nice if the external APIs were brought up to date to include operations, properly reflect ranked etc ? so 3rd party stat sites can be used for more than randoms and coop stats ?

How about you give us a peek at the full tech trees of submarines already ? Or you expect people to play same 6 subs in Randoms ? Oh wait, will these follow the pattern of CVs to make them seem popular ?

pretty much this. just look at ranked when there's a tier spread. everybody that can plays with the higher tier ships in that bracket.

How about this: The Grand battle mode was popular, because there were NO stats attached to it, means you could play like a dork and nobody would know outside of that battle. Other than that, the super BBs were kinda T10+ with a gimmick that you could not control. Most people played them as such. It was a fire and forget mode. Also it was something new outside of Randoms and Ranked in a game that is starved for good and new game modes. WG is not even remotely trying to develop anything they cannot sell directly. We get new modes only for temporary events that come with lootboxes in the shop. You are misinterpreting the statistics here. I bet Arms race showed similar stats when introduced. But as there is nothing new to sell (premium super ships) it was forgotten until now (long time passed). People are hostile towards this new idea for obvious reasons: 1. WG sucks at balancing big time 2. WG prioritizes selling items over everything else and steers development of anything new towards that 3. We are tired of ships that come with a gimmick attached which is about every damn new ship line (that is not German) that was released after the RN DD split.

except that nobody used Conq 457 because there was no gain to be had. Thunderer has some very specific improvements over the base Conqueror ... However new GK does not .. and Thunderer was not free (as in available for an easy to get currency). -
And I was like "Permacamo for Kita ? NICE !!!", then I read further, "Submarines in Random battles" ... ok I will sit this patch out again .... good job WG ... Oh btw you are trying to confuse people again ? 0.10.9 patch notes include Khabarovsk and co changes planned for 2022 ? WHY ???

Just a question, why didn't you simply add a 457mm gun option to the GK and buff the AA to match and that would be it ? Everything else looks identical, same hull, so same crap back turret angles. Why go to all this effort for a small change ? -
