    there is an easier way, just implement radio distance to planes, so only ships inside the squadrons radio distance gets the position updated ... I think there's same system in tanks ...

    I played a few games, had fun. There are 2 issues: none of the missions other than Arms Race specific can be completed in this mode. There's no "Battle on!" button in this mode ... so I am forced to go to port and then enter battle again ...

    that's ACTIVE sonar you are talking about. there was no such thing in WW2. at least not on submarines as it would alert the enemy to their presence (the sonar ping can be heard on the hull of the ship pinged). your idea would work for passive sonar giving the direction to ships and their range based on their noise profile on passive systems. however this would need actual work on WG side and would not be arcady enough to be fun ...
  9. I have no clue ... I have tried to like the ship (just look at my stats). I simply cannot make the thing to work ... it handles like a bathtub in a sandbox ... no acceleration, no agility in turning ... I have resorted in playing her as a Khabarovsk lite and there I had the most success ...

    The problem is, there are several dimensions missing from the graph, like timeframe f.e. but the last graph is irrelevant as it will be ruled by outliers ... if you have individuals at specific winrate% points with huge number of battles, it will look exactly like that. But all in all, the last portion of the graph makes NO sense to me what so ever any way I try to look at it ... the first 3 just display what would be expected as number of battles is not a factor in those ....

    That graph is a facepalm moment. It shows: 1. There are more bad players than there are good players 2. Good players do better in ships than bad players 3. Bad players play more games (as there are more of them) It's such a meaningless graph I was wondering WHAT was the point in including it in the article at all ...

    looks like a reasonably new GPU. driver update maybe ? don't know really ... or you have a camera mod installed in the client that does not play along ?

    by the looks of it, both are using the same skybox and your particular mod interferes with that ....

    I know, but I am sooo tired of that practice ... I have complained already several times, I know WG does not care. But I do prefer MY port selection to persist unless there is a technical reason to change it (port buggy or removed from game). Having the option to pick a port is meaningless when we have no way to keep our selection. It is the same as if the game picked a random port on each launch.

    arms race in random

    Arms race as it is will kill Random stats as they can no longer be used for any kind of balancing decisions. Damage/Heal/HP buffs skew the stats in the wrong direction. I would say the game mode when included in randoms should be changed as to not drop buffs but 15-20 cap points drops ... that way stats are preserved but the dynamic nature of the mode remains ...
  21. The problem is, it will make damage stats irrelevant due to the heal/hp buffs ... this mode does not fit into Randoms in this way ...
  22. Yeah, this could be a similar mode to Ranked, 2 week sprints with a 2 tier spread. It can even be spiced up by banning a class each Sprint ...

    The best part of the article was the Z-52 graph ... we'd need this published regularly for each ship. Also relative amount of damage by ship class for each ship ... should not be hard to do WG or ? I mean it could be part of each ships WIKI entry ...
