    They can still do the rewards for "required" patch testing, there's no reason why they should stop.

    I love the Udaloi, I even bought the perma camo for it ... I cannot get the Grozovoi to work. I tried the stealth build, but in that case I have only 11km gun range and still only 10km torps, so I cannot be effective outside radar range. As a gunboat, you are much bigger and less agile than the Udaloi, with less range, basically you are cover/smoke dependant in that case (have not tried it yet, but does not look promising). This however works against your flat shell arcs as you cannot shoot over cover very well. still on the fence with it ... I have to try a few setups, maybe I will find a good one ...

    smoke firing detection is the same for both Z-23 gun variants. all multicaliber ships suffer for their largest caliber in this case ...

    It's a DFAA buf for DDs only .... there are like 5 DDs capable of DFAA from tier 8 to tier 10 ? Yes because my Udaloi is slaughtering planes as it is now and will become OP next patch ... Wait the best I did agianst a carrier was 10 planes from a tier 8 carrier who got 4 groups in my AA range when I activated DFAA ... clearly OP ... I cannot touch tier 10 CV planes with DFAA active now in the Udaloi. I have yet to test my Grozo setup, I was missing BFT so far ...

  7. all of my aprox 20 battles last night ... there were even 2 or so where I did 0 damage, nothing ... Yes I suck at the game. I have bad positioning, I am too greedy to do damage so get into stupid fights, I forget myself when shooting and run into 1/2 of the enemy team etc. However I realized that at high tier, a DD is at a severe disadvantage ... most of the matches were 4-5 DDs per side and at lest 2 or 3 radar ships on the enemy side (radar is not taken into account by MM). What pissed me off the most are 2 things: 1. there's not spotting breakdown. f.e. if I am spotted by hydro AND line of sight, I only know about the hydro as that icon takes precedence ... same with aircraft .. I'd love to see ALL the spotting .. 2. Why does Hydro pick up stationary ships ? I mean it is a passive noise sensing ability, so when I am standing still, I should disappear from hydro ....

    From the description, I thought that I'd see exp/credit value of ALL ship on the icon. While the white frame is there, I can only see experience value on the immediately adjacent ships and even that is incorrect as it shows the value of the ship but not the total experience I need to obtain it (f.e. the Wyoming shows 2k exp, then I click on the ship I see 2002 exp research price. Also the green bacground on the researched ships is gone. On the ship that I have bought, I cannot see their credit price anywhere so no clue what the resell price will be (this was never communicated until one clicked on the sell ship menu). So far, the change is for the worse. Or it is not yet implemented as envisioned ?

    Sorry but can you explain ? Cos I did not understand a thing. Mino has 9.1 Air detection already, his max AA range is 8.6, so no way he can invis fire down planes. also he has no DFAA afaik, that means in smoke he can crap down planes anyway without trouble. As for the DDs, they can use DFAA when invisible to planes, but they don't have enough damage to effectively shoot down Tier 9 aircraft (I tried in my Udaloi, ok it was not a full AA spec but nobody is going to do that). So the only effect is the plane panic which does not last long anyway.

    Says detectability range by air 9.1km on live for the Minotaur, and camo does not affect it, so I guess CE does not as well. So why is WG argumenting that it is unfair when the only ships that can do it are DDs and their AA is not good enough unless full-spec in which case they are not good DDs ... and T9 and T10 do not feature CVs in Randoms very often.

    So basically the reasoning given by WG for the change is bollocks ? As I said I have seen this mentioned in a few vids of quite experienced CV players, yet the feedback I am getting here is that it is not possible. Which is kinda strange. As for DDs, their trade is stealth, so having AA gun range longer than aerial detection is kinda ok. Also my Udaloi with DFAA active and all AA boosts except Manual AA and AA guns mod 3 (the AA gun damage module) cannot shot down much of tier 9 planes, so it's not a threat (I get lucky with shooting down DBs right above me from time to time). Maybe the Grozo is, but still seems like a rather weak justification for that change.

    Hmm ... then I fail to see the justification for the change. I saw a few vids from farazelleth were he complained that mostly the RN cruisers can shoot down planes before he can detect them, but given the numbers ingame, this does not seem to be tru (unless CE also lowers your air detection range).

    Here's how the page looks for me: Does it seem like anything NEW except for the title ? last update date is 10/17/2017, it is in the 5th row from top on my screen. Do you think that is visible as something that happened recently ? I mean WG fails at delivering proper news. I never go down more than 2 rows on the page as those below 2nd row are generally older than a week or two !!!

    Since there is no 0.6.12.1 feedback thread in the Current update forum, I'll write this here: 1. WHERE ARE THE 0.6.12.1 patch notes ??? 2. Why has my [edited]port [edited]changed [edited]again ??? That's MY SETTING !!! Still no option to hide rented ships, no option to turn of the stupid news section and no option to turn off clan battles notifications ....

    Well the problem is elsewhere ... WG is again trying to crack a peanut with a hydraulic press .... If there's a problem with a few cruisers (f.e. Minotaur) that have strong AA outside of their air detection range, why not adjust the air detection range of those ships ? My Grozovoi will pay a heavy price for this with possible AA range of 7.5 km but detection only 6km. If I want to torp a ship up close and he launches a spotter plane for his own defense, I cannot snipe that plane without revealing myself (say I am 7km from my target). Last time I checked, the AA on the Grozo is not that heavy (something like 1/3 of the Minotaur). Same for the Udaloi and the US DDs that can get DFAA. Btw, what will be the AA gun bloom time ? 20 seconds ?

    RDF vs Radar

    What would it help you? The radar is either in smoke, behind island or on open sea. In the first 2 cases you cannot do anything (or you have to have radar of your own if in smoke) or you already see the ship as radar does not exceed detection of the radaring ship ...

    Team damage system broken in 0.6.10

    I do not think the system differentiates between sources of the fire. Once the fire is burning, it's simply fire damage. So if you set a 4th fire on a friendly ship, ALL the fire damage will get reflected. Also (might be wrong) but there is no multiplier on reflected damage, just the reduction factors do not apply, so if you overpen a target, you get full shell damage reflected, not just the actuall damage you caused. Fire has no reduction, so it is reflected 1:1.

    When I play in normal times (20-23) I do get carrier games regularly. Today I played after midnight, from 6-7 games I played I had one with carriers ... So they are still there...
  23. I was against the change (still am), however I am a DD main and it did not affect me much. I simply stopped giving out smokes for non-DD ship classes. I was playing a fleet DD in my Udaloi before change (smoking friendly ships, covering with DFAA), now I turned to selfish bastard. Well done WG ...
