    well ... they do create random audio issues without ever having audio changes in patch logs etc ... so WG giveth, WG taketh :-) LOD has to have a setting somewhere to decide when to load which model. otherwise it would not make sense to have small but detailed objects at the same distance as large detailed objects, the detail is lost and you are wasting compute resources. there are different options to implement that. you can have per object LOD parameters or global LOD parameters ... the per object ones make more sense in case you have different scale objects in the world and you want to make the maximum of available compute resources. however the discussion is pointless anyway, WG will never admit what they changed as they don't know, they tried to fix something else and changed this by accident :-)

    + killing a plane in the attacking wing and it being reinforced from the remaining squadron resets the aiming to beginning ... I mean you can see in the animation that the remaining planes make space for the newcomer to the formation ...

    part of LOD design is also the draw distances at which the objects change to a lower detail model and the distance where the object does not appear at all ... so having it on low moves the distances closer and the objects degrade faster and disappear earlier .... if you try to argument with Draw distance setting, that's a general horizon after which nothing is rendered and acts as the farthest LOD boundary/cull distance. EDIT: in general in games like WoWs (and open map FPSs) you want to have the best LOD and farthest draw distance setting your HW can handle with the other effects low to keep performance :-)

    Z52 needs some love

    Hmm ... currently in the Z-46 and I am enjoying the crap out of that ship ... but I hardly ever do DD hunting in one, I leave that to cruisers and CV, I just assist with detection and hydro. OTOH the short torp reload is nuts. they reload in one smoke duration with time to spare. Is the Z-52 that much worse ? I do think it's more of the same, so not really an upgrade, but the Z-46 is already good ...

    premium does not affect base XP afaik ... that's purely for battle performance .... premium is a silent modifier afterwards ...

    Kleber and Mogador (with all French DDs) needed to have the speed boost upgrade disabled and torp concealment nerfed. We got the minor part and a huge ship concealment nerf that was not really needed ...

    It has been said a few times by more experienced people than me: learn to play. Radar is a slight issue at times (mostly when imbal MM hits you). Yes, I am a DD main. Not a good one but I can manage hydro without much issues ... You have too little experience in the game judging by your number of battles.

    I don't disagree here ... I just think it is worth trying to improve the NPE just for the good first impression and better player retention. It will not solve all the issues, but it will definitely make the situation better. EDIT: juts look at any decent MMORPG out there. each one of them starts with a scripted tutorial that teaches you the basics step by step before releasing you out into the world. Now imagine we had something similar here ...

    The greed is over the top with this one ... so the 1k dub bundles have finite options and you proudly state that after getting 65 bundles you get all possible rewards ... that's 65k dubs !!! THAT'S MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE PAYTO RICO !!!! For tech tree ships ....

    change a year ago or so for battleships, bell sounds when reloaded ... just in case you fell asleep while waiting on the reload .... cannot be turned off ... praise WG for their eternal wisdom
  24. F1 to F12 do only what you bind them to ... the name function key is from days past where the OS did use the for specific functions ... think MS DOS days. these days they are keys like any other.....
  25. Well that would actually be an incentive for CVs to scout for the team when needed instead of going for damage targets and leaving important enemy ships do their tasks undisturbed ... However this required that fighters no longer spot ships ;-)
