last time I checked 203AP can do very good damage to BBs and even citadel some ... sooo ....

unfortunately base XP calc heavily depends on game type ... a DD in domination vs standard battle or arms race will differ wildly because of the unavailability of capture points in Standard battle ... BBs generally don't care about game type as their base XP is from the most part depending on damage ....

As usual something was left out. There are named commanders available for coal/gold in the armory with no special traits. -
Yeah I got hit once by a full Conq salvo in my Khabarovsk (I did not realize he was aiming at me from across the map in addition to the other 4 ships inside 12km of me), result was 1/2 of the armament broken, no AA, engine and rudder out, 2 fires ...

I was thinking something along those lines as well but based on winrate rather than base XP ... winrate is more "fair" (there is no completely fair system possible because the classed play differently unless you divide the ranks by class).

That's exactly how it should not be ... because then the Rank achieved means nothing at the end, so calling it Ranked is incorrect. If even the worst potato can reach Rank 1 by just being persistent, what is the point ?

nobody said anything about physics realism ... since perfect equidistant spread would not be realistic actually ...

Well the 40% will fail either side. I have seen many domination games on that map won by the team that went to A and the simply shot at single ships popping from behind the island behind B :-) So taking that route is a viable tactic at some times ...

Grozovoi built for guns has very good DPM ... The potent AP is sadly not really useful in normal situations .... I have killed a few Z-52s that I simply rushed into their smoke in my Grozovoi while they had hydro active and could see me coming all the way ... they simply could not do anything to me either AP or HE ... Even the RN DDs are much more used with HE and they have improved pen angles ...

I thought that 6km hydro was balanced by the bad HE DPM ? Like YY Radar was balanced by nerfing the HE DPM to the ground ... so killing the ship that ends up in your hydro range is depending on your allies shooting at it ... Can we balance radar ships like that as well ? Like active radar nerfs their reload ? would be golden ...

Dear Wargaming, Would it be too much to ask if you could implement somewhere in the detailed results screen the number and type of buffs one had when died or game ended in Arms race ? It is not really critical but would be nice to have ... I mean we had the aircraft damage breakdown even for non-CV ships that was completely useless ... so how about something useful for a change ?

just from the realism point of view, if you have all 4 of the release charges exploding at once in the torp launcher, it would create a rather large vibration of the unit itself ... so that's why the dispersion can be wonky. if the charges go one after the other in very short intervals, they are not evenly spaced so there again dispersion happens ... doing single launch, the charge detonation is spread out more in time, so the launcher has time to stabilize ... but that's pure theory ... it never worked for gun dispersion to fire turrets one after another or at the same time, so ...

PT: IFHE, HE shells penetration, and balance changes

And the logic behind this is ... where ? Last time I checked, IFHE was not restricted to the 6" gun family, so balancing all the OTHER ships based on 152-155mm guns is kinda ... idiotic to say the least. So either you split the IFHE skill by caliber or you scrap the rework completely as the direction does not make any sense. It just shows that the person (team) working on it is so focused on one thing that they are unable to see the whole picture. Case in point the Atlanta and Flint reload change. Basically it enables those 2 ships to shatter more shells. That's all it accomplishes. -

PTS was always pointless because the testing is controlled by WG from what they make available. Thus a lot of things cannot be tested as a result ... I was on PTS once and gave up. I don't think they will ever learn the value of a permanent testing environment .... -

whining about tech tree ships again ? what's the point ? I'll FXP to tier 7 or 8 anyway if I don't get anything from the "early access" -
So an OP ship struggles against a broken mechanic and you call that OK ? Sorry what ? Seriously the heal buffs are just stupid in that mode. 2 heals and BBs basically don't die unless they eat a face full of torps.

Oh good the torpedo upgrade ... my Kamikaze now can field 71kts torps ... Yugomo with 75kts type 93s ... no reason at all to field F3s now ...

Hmm what will happen to the Atlanta now ? Cv rework nuked the AA potential, IFHE and plating changes will nuke any damage potential ... are we all about fires now ? or do you expect me to start playing as a DD and try to torp things ? Anyway, the main IFHE reason is not in any way altered in the proposed changes. IFHE for CLs will still be mandatory to do damage to BBs. Same as was before.

So I finally got some gameplay in after the last patch, I went over the directives and boy the surprise. First stage cannot be completed via the "grind directives" if you play a single ship class like I do. Thanks WG inclusive event design. That's the 3rd one of this kind by my count.

Not possible to pass the first stage with a single class. I only play DDs so I don't bother with the event at all .... -
What do you expect from somebody that plays mostly CVs and has 10%+ better winrate in CVs than in other ships ?
