today was interesting ... first 4 games easy victories, team support all over the place, not many people did anything reckless ... then it turned around, next 5 games 1 win 4 defeats, mostly left alone in the middle against enemy team. once I had to leave the central cap, game over ... it seems like after about 22:30 it's not worth playing ... -

Tried a few games in Grozovoi, I do actually like it. The way the objectives work dynamically is much more interesting than Domination. At least for DDs. Have not played Arms race before, but I think it is a very nice format. -

Why TF do you hide that in a segment that needs to be manually expanded when the article is REALLY SHORT ??? Then you run the risk of people missing it. I can understand that in the patch notes, those are usually loooong, but this one ? Also still no answer to the CV question.

You do have an insignificant amount of games in everything but the Jutland and there you are at 50% WR. also up to about tier 7 you don't get radar ships with any regularity, so the performance is less restricted by factors you cannot influence (i.e. stupid MM).

Grozovoi: some agility would be nice. getting that thing to move with accel module and speed boost still takes too much time. turning circle and rudder are fine, but changing speed is abysmal, especially when you need to do even a minimal turn while accelerating ... that thing bleeds speed like crazy while turning. The ship also suffers a consumable overload. DFAA is totally useless now, I don't even carry a premium one these days. I'd gladly sacrifice that one for either one more heal or smoke. Z-52 needs something to distinguish it from Z-46. no clue what ... maybe 2x5 instead of 2x4 torps ? or a bit more HP ... Khaba could do with either a range increase so it can match Tashkent when equiped with legendary or a slight rudder buff. atm I ma running with accel mod in slot 4 and rudder mod in slot 5 and the ship handling feels ok. sacrificing the slot 5 rudder module however makes the ship unusable without legendary, it is too slow to react to anything (torpedoes or any cruiser fire other than USN heavy and maybe Hindy). can't comment on the remaining DDs.

That's interesting. These days with clan bonuses, premium and some signals I don't have issues making 300k in T10/9 DD battles if I put some effort into it. Now without premium and clan, that would be rather difficult for somebody like me ... -

depending on the amount of radar ships ... 2-3 per side are manageable .... 5 not so much ... however 1 CV per side is one too many ...

If pre-rework CV would be able to kill me on his own that he'd be one of the top 5% of CV players ... or RNG favored him on a bomb drop ... it was quite easy to avoid a cross drop if you payed any attention ... And please learn to read before you post. I said the CV needs to cover for me to spot the enemy DD if I myself cannot as he is in a much better position to do so ... I never wrote anything about fighter cover for ME ... fighters are all but useless as a defensive measure ... -

Then you realize that MM does not care about ship capabilities just the class. Playing the wrong DD at the wrong time of day can result in a Khaba+Kleber against double Shima matchup. If you drew luck on the radar or CV side, you are fine. If not, nothing you do will win you the game if the enemy DDs don't screw up royally ... CVs have this much easier as the fighter capabilities are no longer the deciding factor for them that they cannot influence. -

No, it was not an issue, because your CV could cover you with fighters and there was very effective AA (even on some DDs like the Grozovoi and Gearing f.e.). DDs are the last class that heavily depends on teamplay. Does your team shoot the other DD that you are detecting at the risk of your ship ? Does the team shoot radar cruisers with priority ? Is your CV good enough to know when he needs to spot the enemy DD so you/your team can finish him and not go damage farming ? The other classes are much more self-sufficient, the CV is completely self-sufficient. But to add to the discussion, I do not complicate my gameplay with so many considerations at the start, as my team support determines a lot of my gameplay. I'll happily die in the first 5 minutes if the team does not work with me and let them lose the game (or work harder for the win). I often sacrifice my own damage just to spot on a flank so the rest of the team can farm the enemy and we do win. In case I want some selfish fun, I take out the Khabarovsk and just farm damage on anything that comes within gun range. I do occasionally take out the TRB Shira and Kagero, but those get out less and less. Basically the ship selection or the priority of ships I use changed some, but my gameplay is mostly the same. -

So when is the captain available for the regular 46.54 eur ? Because it looks like a discount offer from something that does not exist. I cannot buy that captain for that "full" price in any way ... interesting marketing ... I'd say borderline illegal ... EDIT: almost bought one of them, luckily my bank/card issues denies payments to Wargaming for some reason since about 6 months, so I did not need to regret the decision :-) -
Kleber has way better acceleration as well enabling it to speed dodge more effectively. Khaba accelerates like a pregnant whale and has the momentum of a start system when stopping ... Yes the base DPM is better than Kleber, but Kleber has much better AP pen and the MBRB enables you to burst down your enemies if used correctly, something that fits a DD stealth play much better: ambush a target, burst him down with torps and MBRB, go stealth, reposition. Compare that to Khaba that has to stay detected while shooting for longer times to accomplish the same thing, risking more return fire in the process.

When did you last play the ship ? Not for at least 3 weeks going by stats pages ... (but you have a wicked main battery hit ratio ... I wish I had that).

You see, you got this wrong. The primary reward is the same for the same work. However the primary reward is not usable for anything, it is just another type of currency (be it tokens, containers or other crap) used to pay for the reward, or pay to get into the next currency tier etc. They (WG) are fully aware of this, in fact they are adding another indirect layer basically every 2 events now. Usually RNG, is included at every exchange operation after the primary reward was obtained.
