    Just play her with TRB, smoke is not worth it anymore. You simply give up on DD roles and transition into big ship hunter. Mid/late game you can switch back to DD role. EDIT: engine boost upgrade is a must

    erm what ? I don't quite follow ... You are counting the ships as if they were equal and radar was the only variable. unfortunately that is not the case as certain ships are more common than others. yes your point makes sense but is totally not valid due to the above ... and we'll get 2 new radar cruisers out of 2 new cruisers coming into the game (tech tree T10) ...

    Correct me if I am wrong, but on PT you had to play a few battles in other ships in order to unlock subs. Why that was not done on live as well I don't understand. Also the q for Ranked was full of BBs and WG did not care and left it to the players to sort it out ? But with subs it is suddenly a problem ? You said yourself the event lasts for a month unlike a week or weekend for PTS. Plenty of time to try out everything (except training room of course). Anyway I'll stop here. I think I made my point clear and further discussion is pointless. Thank you for your patience.

    Will the login tokens accumulate or just credited every login ? What I mean is this: Do I have to log in every day of the week to get the tokens or can I skip a login and get the 2 tokens the next day ? Are the tokens limited to days or are they limited by amount ? Will we get tokens each day for the duration of the "event" ? The article does not specify. There are only 7 bundles, so getting more tokens seems pointless. Also this being an event is rather stupid. Does WG want us to test and give feedback or not ? The whole organization of the thing looks like an April Fools day event ... Sorry if I come out as pessimistic or negative, but prior experience (PR event, CV rework testing etc.) and the heavy negative impact the submarines can have on the game does not give much hope that WG actually care about the success of the class and the game much. EDIT: please get subs into training rooms asap. there are scenarios that need to be tested that cannot be reliably produced in a random player team. if you do not do that quickly enough, there might be serious issues down the road that could have been prevented. I see you have not learned anything from CV rework testing.

    The issue with RTS were the interface bugs that made playing CV a chore. But the CVs were decently balanced back then. Also the CCs (at least those that I follow) expressed concerns about aspects that actually proved problematic (and are still to this day) for the class. And I don't think Des Moines, Minotaur or Atlanta are DDs.

    Because as I guess is the norm, we cannot use submarines in the Training to get familiar with the mechanics and controls ? I know WG does not actually care about us testing the subs because they throw hurdles at us at every possibility. Do you think that when you announce an event like this, you want us to test but then don't provide the proper tools to do so, it will work well ? Everybody jumping into subs is not a problem because there should be restrictions on the max number of them, people will realize and adapt. However they WANT to see them and have them available even to just check them out in training room. Oh and this "reasoning" is nowhere to be found in the article !!! Also there is no mention that you can only obtain submarines via the bundles.

    so you end up with people with comparable skill in the highest bracket. there's no skill difference there. ship choice is the main driving factor translating into a more even distribution of wins among the playerbase. after all if 12 players in one team win, 12 players in the other have to lose, overall winrate is 50%, there's no way around that. same will happen in the lower ranks where people with comparable skill filter out. yes there will be a % difference in the single digits around 50%, but that's about it.

    you still have to look at the class and particular ships. a damage farming DD vs a capping DD will be vastly different, both require different play and skill etc. unless you know that and can properly evaluate that, the stats will only skew the picture. take f.e. spotting damage. I have quite a lot of games where my actual damage was 30k while my spotting damage was 3x or 4x that. Do you think you would be able to tell that from stats ? also I am helping somebody to get high PR and WR at my expense but without me, he would have neither.

    On top of that, the WR would quickly gravitate to the 50% mark for everybody, thus matching people on "skill" would no longer be possible as their statistics would be almost equal.

    And in the process pay you less money because they consume your content at a faster rate now. So basically you have to accelerate content production dumping more money into development while getting less money back because people spend less time on the game. That's detrimental to both sides.

    I have a clan mate that is in a Yamato after 400 battles ... 43% winrate ... Another example, my first T10 grind was Tashkent to Khabarovsk, took me 120 battles or so. My last grind was Z-46 to Z-52, took me less than 40 battles. 1/3 of the first grind. I am not a good player (barely average) and I do not have many of the special signals.

    Udaloi focus on torps ? good luck with that concealment and torp range ... you get 700m of stealth torp buffer with a full detection build ... Also don't compare to premium ships, except Leningrad those are memes for their gimmicks (maybe exception being the Neustrashimy). Again none of those ships, except Ognevoi has any usable torpedo stealth range or very short. They still do more with their guns than torps. Trying to go close with the Grozovoi simply does not work. The best build is AFT+IFHE still ...

    Yeah right ... there are exactly 3 RU DDs with 700m+ turning circle ... Grozovoi, Tashkent, Khabarovsk. And the later ones are not really stealth boats so it does not matter much there. For Grozovoi it makes the stealth build sub-optimal. The handling difference to Udaloi is a shock.

    Yeah, Radar Grozovoi was a terrible idea ... but the AA spec they first introduced would be really handy right now :-)

    Did I get it right, you want us to TEST submarines but you are still not willing to give us easy access to them, only via some stupid token/rental bundles ? No testing on my side ... If you want us to TEST you provide us with the means to test AND report. No random/rental/mission other bullcrap that we need to do in order to test. We already give up our progression on the regular ship lines for that...

    The heal addition was done after Grozovoi was introduced as it did not perform due to being fat and clumsy. So in typical WG fashion instead of fixing the agility/handling, they added heal and reduced smoke. The rest of the line did not have heal still. Then last year they added Heal to Ognevoi and Udaloi without gimping their smokes. Now they are making that consistent as well. Udaloi compared to Grozovoi is small, takes less damage and has good agility. It never needed a heal. Also the line with the heal was Khabarovsk/Tashkent. Anyway, Udaloi will benefit from the 10km torps but suffer removal of smokes, heal is not enough to save it. Also SI is now mandatory 3 point skill on the whole line. Again instead of fixing Grozovoi handling, they are gimping the line some more (exception being Udaloi).
