Tried your UID, didn't work. Looks like it doesn't work across severs. I've just found my UID if it helps, 201731615, username is still LOZFFVII. I'm thinking of starting a guild if anyone wants to join me. I'm not certain what kind of bonuses we get for being in a guild... Also I'm starting to get to grips with this game a bit better now. I've worked out how to turn off Javelin's Live2D, so that's a plus. Oh, I see, so I need to get one of the swimsuits and (I presume) put the swimsuit shipgirl as my secretary in order to see a more interesting BG? All the more reason to buy gems to get the bonus Saratoga and use the gems for her swimsuit... I didn't mean sticking out like a sore thumb, but there's so little space used up by the $ coin and the oil drum pictures that they could've just had them sticking out of the top of the screen (or wherever they could've squeezed the merchant/canteen pictures) to be tapped on instead of having to open up a separate pop-out. Oh, can anyone explain to me how to teach ships certain skills? I've worked out that in order to get the "All Out Attack" skills you need to Limit Break the character once and certain skills like Cygnet's "Smokescreen" you need to Retrofit them, but skills like Long Long Man's Island's "Air Support" seem to elude me. I've already limit breaked Long Cat Island and she doesn't have any options for retrofitting, so I'm at a loss for unlocking that skill. Oh, and how does one find out what gear different ships are "efficient" with? I have Vestal equipped with the 12.7mm AA Gun and it's telling me she's 85% efficient with it. Helena is apparently 65% efficient with all DD guns I try to give her as secondaries. Also, I had a pretty crappy evening yesterday, with only a 30% win rating. Anyone want to division up to do something silly tonight, such as triple Shimakaze div? Hell, is anyone else grinding Kitakze, too? Triple Kitakaze could be amusing. -

Welp, I've started playing Azur Lane. My nick is "LOZFFVII" and my default server is "Sandy", I'm not certain if that's enough for you guys to add me as a friend, so let me know if there's anything else. BTW, I'm the first person to leave a ship review for Leander. I just feel like getting some things off my chest: 1) Don't start with Javelin, her voice is annoying and her Live2D is giving me serious uncanny valley. 2) Why is the bg behind your secretary ship just a black void? It's really boring to look at. 3) The UI needs some serious QOL improvements. A lot of the buttons seem to be very small for my iPad screen, I can't imagine playing it on mobile. Not to mention there is not always an obvious 'back' or 'cancel' button (and no, I don't consider the existing 'back' button, which blends in with the top of the window, to be acceptable). Also, it's not exactly clear where everything in the game is with respect to the main menu, and I quickly forgot everything that was shoved in my face by the 'tutorial'. 4) Finally, why in the heck is the merchant and canteen in a separate pop-out rather than on the main screen? Seems like they are both quite important for your overall upkeep, yet they get hidden inside something that was not all that obviously different from screen decoration at first. Anybody else get these problems? -
Tell me about it. On the subject of Harekaze and this season ranked: I played a couple of matches in my Loyang in order to reach R15, in one of them I met a Harekaze on the enemy team and when I ran into him I panicked, hydroed and immediately stopped panicking when I saw he was using the US 127mm guns. After I sunk him I typed in chat: "btw, harekaze, the 100mm guns are better." and left it at that.

That's only if you don't take comsumables into account. As soon as Loyang is spotted she will hydro and slow down to smoke up, meaning the imputus is on Harekaze to finish Loyang right then and there and to make sure she stays outside of the 5.4km hydro range. Bare in mind that Hare cannot even finish Loyang with torpedoes, because they will be spotted by hydro. Ultimately, Ranked is all about capping anyway, and it's pretty clear which ship is superior in that regard. I don't disagree at all about Random battles though - I'm just saying that Loyang is superior with regard to Ranked (I should've clarified that was what I meant).

I don't think it's 'perfect'. Loyang is a little too 'perfect' in that it really does have the tools to do everything. 9.2km (albeit slow) torps, fast-firing US guns, US smoke, KM CA hydro, US DD concealment (not the best, but still competitive), US DD manaeiouvrability, need I say more? I mean, Harekaze is still one of my favourite DDs in the game, but Loyang is just straight-up better.

Huh, I was wondering why I couldn't find it on the app store, I guess it just wasn't available yet. Cute Shimakaze is cute. This is unreleated to shipgirls or WoWS in particular, but I just felt like sharing: I'm currently in the market for upgrading from my outmoded late-2009 Macbook pro Windows partition to an actual gaming PC (this is mainly brought on by my windows partition sh!tting itself the other week), and so I've been looking at the current best PCs available on the market. I've come across this monster. The review website had two 'cons' for that thing: "You can't afford it." "No, seriously, it costs too much." No effing kidding. What kind of madman could possibly afford such a thing AND make use of its full potential? -

Okay, so I was playing in my Akizuki tonight, trying to earn on of the anniversary achievements when I get into the following game: 20170915_010007_PJSD108-Akizuki_14_Atlantic.wowsreplay Half-way through the match the cyclone closes in to 8km, not long after that I get detected and locked on to by an enemy ship thanks to a DM Donskoi's radar. I then get chipped into oblivion from the last vestiges of my life bar, by the DM Donskoi. My question is simple: Does radar allow you to see other ships (i.e. actually SEE other ships, not just detect them on mini-map) in reduced view-range situations - such as in a cyclone? ...Because, quite simply, that is broken as f@ck. Far, far worse than just being able to see through islands, radar that can see through cyclone reduced visibility just gives an obscenely huge advantage. Now it's 1:38am and I'm going to bed...

@HardLens @OttoZander Doods, I posted this thread a year ago. I now have myself a Minotaur equipped with radar and I love abusing it in cyclones.

The long and short of it is: This is a video game and thus technically correct and historically accurate strategies typically don't work. I mean, there are several dozen different ways this game is not historically accurate (radar, hydro and AA go through islands, for example) and hence you shouldn't expect the old strategies to work. Also, the examples you've listed require a level of teamwork that just doesn't exist in random battles with anonymous people online. If you want to play strategies, consider joining a clan - T10 clan battles will really put your strategies to the test.

Oh, I didn't see that bit. Holy crap, what an idiot that Dallas must've been! EDIT: Actually, while we're on the subject of Enterprise, @El2aZeR how do you know what the AL camo looks like for it? I can't seem to find any AL camos in the premium shop...
