*Sigh* I have to agree with @Aotearas. As much as I am a self-confessed Japanofile who adores modern Japan, I have to admit that how modern Japan chooses to gloss over Imperial Japan's role in WW2 is an enormous frustration point for me. Having said that, even British schools choose to focus on the history where Britain was either the good guy (The World Wars or Napoleanic Conflicts) or fighting itself (The Wars of the Roses or the Civil War) rather than when we were the bad guys (The Opium Wars, our conquest of North America or the whole East India Company thing). I wish I could convince Japan and even my own country that it's best to remember the past - the good and bad, but what can one person do? Germany has banned the Swastika from appearing outside of history lessons. They also stress that they were the bad guys during the two World Wars.

I forgot to mention a couple other favourites of mine: Karakai Jouzu Takagi-san (Teasing Master, Miss Takagi), an adorable will they/won't they about a boy and the girl who enjoys teasing him. Clannad and Clannad After Story, to make yourself cry big puddles of many tears. Gurazeni: Money Pitch, a surprisingly entertaining show about a professional Japanese Major League Baseball player. Bakemonogatari, I won't say anything about, just watch and let the show take you for a ride.

So, apparently you're a fan and that means there are no problems with WG and WoWS? I am a massive Sonic fan, but does that make me blind to all of the series (and SEGA's) faults? [edited]no. I have extremely fond memories of Sonic Advenure 2 Battle for the Nintendo Gamecube - so much so I still consider it one of my favourite games (sitting up in those lofty heights next to genuine greats like NIER: Automata and Yakuza Kiwami), but does that mean it's a faultless game? [edited]no. It's time you grew up, my friend. Your opinions are simply that, opinions not fact. You can share them and others are allowed to share theirs in response, that's free speech. Responding in turn with random nonsensical gibberish and playing the victim while simultaneously repeating the same thing you started with but treating it as fact is not a healthy discussion. It's like you're that one little 5year-old who wants to make his opinion heard by shouting it louder and louder until he's basically screaming his lungs out. Stop acting like a child and face the real world. And while I'm at it: @Daxeno (sorry if you're busy, you're the only mod I can think of), can you please take a good look at this thread and lock it? No, I think the problem is the game was released in February and hasn't had any updates since. If there were more content updates, I'm positive many players would have continued playing even after getting all of the trophies (like with Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash), but sadly the game has not received any support past it's lauch window whatsoever. No new maps, no new tanks, no new 3d models for other tank commanders (only the school leaders, Anglerfish-team and DLC Nonna/Erika have 3d models). I think a further complication is that the version of the game I have is the Asian English version - which probably has servers in Japan, so my server connection would be poor at best. It's sad, but that's just the state the game is in. At least none of the trophies are tied to the online mode... -

Isn't it about time some forum mod locked this thread? It's not constructive, the TC only wants to force his opinion through without listening to anyone else's and he's posting in such a way as to completely nagate any form of constructive conversation. Even for the off-topic section, this thread is just plain old stupid and it still manages to revive itself whenever someone gets the brilliant idea of trying to challenge the TC's unchallengable perfect opinion. Either we, as a collective and intelligent group need to permanently ignore this thread or a moderator needs to lock it so that it cannot be given the time of day anymore. -

I love that game. My favourite thing is to powerslide behind the enemy in my full Rabbit-team, metallic black M3 Lee and unload with both guns simultaneously. I also love how Karina says 'Aye' in response to all movement-from-stationary commands. Sigh. If only the online mode wasn't dead as a dodo, I'm sure it would be even more fun. -

I found that out recently, too. But I still don't have enough to make even one T2 cruiser blueprint and Leander is stuck permanently at 95% retrofitted. No matter how many times I attempt any given X-2 stage on hard it just doesn't drop the required blueprints - frequently dropping none whatsoever, and here I'm looking to stockpile them for Ning/Ping Hai. Yeah, I like Sims too. She's a cute little troll in AL and she's a cute little troll in WoWS. I really want WG to give us Sims as a captain if they do any more AL shipfu captains. How about all-Sims division for maximum sass? Also, in randoms I prefer to run Sims with spood beest - you can hit over 40knt and still keep your ridiculous maneuvrability to really start troll-kiting people. ...Which leads me on to something: Anyone want to div up for some triple-same-ship divs sometime? Just for the lols, of course. In particular I want to try out a triple-shimakaze div for total flank lockdown 'tactics'. Or triple Harekaze for "lol, f*ck you, Harugumo" 'tactics'. -

Yes to both. There's normally a song per episode, but they also tend to focus more on the drama between the girls and their personal lives as they aim to become top pop idols. As far as The Idolmaster series goes, there is only one important male character - The Producer. He's more of an audience surrogate, however, as The Idolmaster anime is based on a series of video games. There is no actual romance in the series, only CGDCT (cute girls doing cute things), although you can certainly imply that some girls might have feelings for their Producer-san. Amusingly, I don't have Netflix and there are a few on there I want to watch. Namely: Fate/Extra, Fate/Apocrypha (both in the Fate/ series I mentioned) Made in Abyss, Castlevania. I keep on thinking I probably should sign up, but then I decide that it's going to be worth the wait for the Blu-Rays to release over here.

In terms of Idol Anime, I'd have to recommend The IdolM@ster or The IdolM@ster Cinderella Girls. I'm not personally all that into Love Live, so I'd disagree with Mr Shatner and say that Minase Iori is best Idol waifu.

@Tompo Firstly, I feel like pointing out this is yet another thread necro in the past week-or-two. Then, I'd just like to state (speaking from experience) that if a Bismarck is played well, she's damn near impossible to torpedo. Her secondaries (if fully specced) also give gunboat DDs a lot to worry about. She's virtually DD-proof if you play her smart, which I suppose is why she doesn't do so great against other BBs. Basically, it just comes down to learning the ship.

Gegege no Kitarou, for kids horror/action (I like to think of it as the Japanese equivalent of The Addams Family, for multiple reasons). Golden Kamuy, for historical action/drama. Hataraku Saibou (Cells at Work), for edutainment. Fate/ series, for urban fantasy. Ghost in the Shell, for cyberpunk action.

I have changed my banner picture. I was going to try and use this as an avatar, but I couldn't cut it down and still have enough detail to make it clear what was going on, so I just left it as-is and decided to use it as my banner instead. -
Oof, I had a battle in Gallant the other day where I was going to cap the D point on Land of Fire after the enemy team lemminged to the western flank. I knew the enemy Anshan was coming, so I pre-emptively launched my torps around the corner of the island and gave him a nice tight spread to try and get through. As he rounds the corner we spot each other at the same time and he eats one of my fish, so naturally I start letting him eat some lead too. Baring in mind I'm basically on full health at the start of this, I take a nasty hit from the enemy Fusou, leaving me on roughly the same HP as the Anshan is. We're trading DPM and I manage to get him down to about 200HP and at this point my aim seemingly turns into absolute garbage and whenever I do score hits, they keep on hitting his damage-saturated bow for 0damage (although I swear most of them hit him amidships, an area that can't be saturated). It was ridiculous, I was basically shouting at the screen for him to die and couldn't do an effing thing. Well, long story short, he bugs out to go to C cap and I get murdered by Fusou secondaries (I smoked up on about 50hp inside the cap and misjudged how quickly he could turn to avoid my torpedoes). Had any of my shots actually been on target/done damage to that Anshan I don't think my team would have lost quite so badly.

Oy... You should have screenshotted the end battle screen, in addition to uploading the replay file. The results screen should show the battle time, when the battle began, etc. and would allow us to understand what happened, but you haven't done that. Unfortunately, with what you have given us, we can only make one deduction: you left the battle early.

I see it all the time - ally PA DD torpedoing a mutsuki smoke who just ran aground: "Jianwei, your torps DO NOT HIT DDS, get back there and finish him with your guns" Chung Mu attempting to torpedo my Harekaze: "You would've been better off shooting your guns" Ally Asashio trying to torpedo cruisers: "Why oh why do I always get the [REDACTED] Asashio players?" -
