Give me some pointers as to what I could've done better). Constantly bottom tier, frequently 'deplaned' (I know, it's a myth, right?), somehow constantly missing those all-important citadel shots (even when I do it near-perfect!). After several days of actually having some fun in CVs, today has really rocked my confidence and I'm no longer certain I want to continue climbing these tech trees. Much less actually spend money on them (I was going to buy Kaga as a captain trainer). CV gameplay is not easy.

    I've been a forumite for two years, he's a legend even to me. Just met @Migantium_Mashum in a battle, on the enemy team in his Shimakaze. Sorry, didn't notice you until you posted in global chat right at the very end. Despite this being a carrier game. Despite the enemy carrier being an Enterprise. Despite screwing up and not equipping any upgrades on my fresh-out-of-the-shop Yukikaze. Despite screwing up and announcing this fact to Migan's team right at the start. My team still won. I survived. And I scored third on base XP.

    I just ignore them and any projects that cost more than 1500coin. You can refresh once per day, too. You've forgotten Leipzeig. She buffs other cruisers, making her a must for a full IronBlood cruiser frontline. My plan for Ironblood frontline is Leipzeig, Spee and Karlsrhue...Karlsrueh...Karls-fukkit just Karl(retro). Don't forget you can pick up Bulins/Purins from the medal and merit exchanges. Check every day, and you might find the stuff you need. Warspite is not very effective at PvE, she's better at PvP (if PvP wasn't a joke) but she should be getting a retrofit at some point, Takao-class are both pretty strong while Nagato is top-tier for all-sakura fleet. By 'Lusty' twins I assume you mean Belfap and Illustrious - Bel is really good, but for cost efficiency Leander (retro) is basically her equal, Illustrious you don't really need to worry about until chapters 11-13, where enemy air power starts becoming absurd. Sirius...just don't bother unless you really want to, she's something of a joke meta-wise (if you really want to make a whole backrow of nothing but CVs or CVLs she's great, but that's not very useful PvE-wise) and Yukikaze is amazing for survivability with those skills. Okay, Imma stop writing tiny now. Basically, if you like PvP (I mean...whatever floats your boat ): Nagato, Kaga, Akagi, Yukikaze and Takao-class (for full Sakura fleet). If you want to run deep into PvE: Illustrious, Yukikaze, and thats...kinda it. SRs are quite expensive oil-wise, so you'd be better off trying to minimise oil expendature while still being able to clear maps. My main fleet for clearing harder maps is Tirpitz (Divergent Chessboard event...I think you started too late to have her), The Cranes and 'China Meme' (Ning Hai, Ping Hai and Yat Sen). This team has a ton of survivability - The three Chinese cruisers buff each other and are damn near impossible for PvE maps to kill (and they get buffed firepower when fighting Sakura ships...which most of the PvE maps have you doing), while the Cranes are super sturdy when put together and Tirpitz buffs herself when she's the only BB/BC in the fleet (as well as adding to damage with a quad homing torp launch every 20seconds). Obviously, you've said you have the cranes, but be careful how you intend to use them. They'll obviously go well with Nagato, but they're more PvE focused than the Foxes who are better at PvP.

    EDIT: Apparently, the UI update is going live on Monday. Be prepared for 10hrs of downtime. Also, we're getting a mini-event featuring U556, who may-or-may-not be the new sub in the Bismarck event reveal.

    Oh how droll. I was grinding 6-4, trying to get Poi, but I got bored and now I'm trying 9-3 for Nicholas (and hoping for extra EXP). I would use cheap ships, but I wanted to maximise the level possible to be played, which would require QE with two other strong RN BBs/BCs (not Monitors). I'm running Phoenix as vanguard, for self-heal only (I'm well aware she doesn't gel with RN fleet).

    I never considered that. What a waste of money...on a ship you can get for free. Which is what I'm doing. QE, Hood and DoY are sitting pretty and enjoying themselve whilst simultaneously working hard to bring their lil' sis home. In other news, apparently AL JP has been streaming a whole buncha stuff about the upcoming Biscuits event. It is based on the Battle of Denmark Strait, and will feature KGV, Biscuits and more (including a sub, from the looks of things). Oh, and Biscuits is going to be in Azur Lane Crosswave for PS4.

    I'm about 63% through the second 2mil grind for Monarch (so, 740k left) and it's literally the last bit of my grind. I just want this finished already! There's someone on Reddit (who's a bit of a [edited], tbh) who's complaining about the time gate on getting Neptune. He's done everything apart from the 20k coin and 5cubes, which are still gated off from him. I really wish I knew how he was able to grind 3mil so easily, but I don't want to ask as the guy's insufferable.

    So, the marginally underperforming one gets buffs, and the obviously overperforming one gets diddly squat. Nope. We might get Zeppy added in future to help with the whole 'no Ironblood backrow' ships problem, but FdG is still a loooong ways off needing to be worried about.

    Good. We need a break. On that note, I've made one final 10-build today from the special pool and no Zeppy. That makes her the only casualty of this dual event. I have all AIs, Bel, Hiei-chan and Akagi-chan, but no Zeppy. Which is a shame as I would have liked to use her for farming with that unique barrage skill. I read somewhere that she shoud be getting added to the build pool at a later date? I think it's something to do with having no Ironblood backrow ships that aren't event-locked, and needing said Ironblood backrow ships to unlock Friederick der Grosse.

    Update: Looks like the mandatory UI update is going to be delayed indefinitely until they can fix bugs. Wonder if this means Biscuits is going to be delayed, too?

    She's the 2nd Kamikaze-class Destroyer, Asakaze from KanColle. I like her because: I'm easily charmed by long-haired girls with forehead parts. The Meiji-era School Uniform is gorgeous. Kamikaze is brokenly fun in WoWS (at least before the rework).

    Yeah, my build is fairly new, too. Finally decided to replace the Windows partition on my old 2008-model Macbook Pro in October last year. Yeah, I really needed the upgrade. Got an Alienware Aurora R7. Not top-of-the-range (I'm not made of money), but still pretty decent. I'm loving how quiet it is compared with my old laptop (even compared with my work PC). EDIT: On another note, I've gotten bored of 'Touch the Fish' Saratoga, and I've returned to this old avatar. You guys remember Asakaze? I still think she's pretty.

    @lente65 Let's do some maths: Let's assume both teams have a full lineup of 50%WR players. This is interesting, the match will be fairly balanced and it will likely come down to the last ship on both teams. Let's assume team A has all 12 players with 50%WR and team B has 11 with 50% and one with 0%. Suddenly we're looking at a game where one team is down a player from the very start. It's not impossible for team B to win, but it's an uphill struggle. Finally, let's assume team A has all 12 players with 50%WR, while team B has 10 with 50%, one with 30% (we'll call them 'Guy') and one with 70% (we'll call them 'Buoy'). Guy is the 'weight' that Buoy has to 'carry' in order for team B to have a shot at winning this match. Buoy knows this, but Buoy keeps silent for the sake of team cohesion. Guy makes a rookie mistake and dies early, leaving his team to clean up his mess. He begins to blame the rest of the team for 'not backing him up' or 'being cowards', etc, etc in chat. Guy then comes onto the forums to complain about the teams he ends up on, only to be called out on his own poor stats. Guy then proceeds to question how his stats have anything to do with his teams and:- I've completely lost where I was going with this. This is an extreme simplification, but this is the gist of how your stats infer your ability in the game. Take time to improve yourself and you might find that you will start carrying teams like Buoy.

    This is your tinfoil hat speaking. Sarushima (HSF) has the same problem as all the others. The reason the AL port is so smooth is because the game doesn't have to simulate any water. Yes, really. That's what the load is on other ports. *EDIT: +1 to TC. It's so annoying, if I pick a port it's because I want that port, not any others.

    Aww...I don't have a coupon... If I had a coupon for 30% I'd just buy the full bundle right now, rather than trying to work out which is the most cost-effective option given that I'm also looking at purchasing Kaga as a captain trainer for my IJN CVs.
