    I've been reading this thread since before you were. I haven't really posted before now, A) because I needed to sleep, and B) because I've been at work. Having all these hours to mull over this unwelcome piece of ST news has mellowed me out a little bit. Which is good, because I feel if I hadn't had the chance to mellow out, anything I would've said would have quickly devolved into: I wrote everything before the line before I had the chance to read this: Yeah. I was going to write out a full, measured reply later on explaining why, personally, I think NTC is a idea, but apparently WG aren't listening. @Crysantos @Tanatoy Would you care to confirm if I was to spend my hard-earned free time writing constructive criticism of NTC, that you would dignify it by actually paying attention to what was said and not glossing over it like in the stream? While writing the above, this was posted: It seems the answer to my above question is 'no'. I guess my response is going to be quite simple, then:

    That is a big fat fing pile of nope. Thank the almighty teapot I have a PS4, Switch, iPad, Super Nintendo Mini and a dozen other things I can play video games on so I do not have to partake in this bullplop. Tetris Battle Royale is a thing.

    I opened my account on the 20th of October 2016. For my second anniversary last year, I recieved nothing until sometime early November. I would assume that WG don't bother sending out anniversary presents to-the-day anymore and instead monitor all of the active accounts and distribute the bonii at the start of the following month.

    I'm on third as well, but the most frustrating thing I'm finding is that I picked two battlecruisers and one BBV for grinding Izumo, which means I cannot use my actual comp for any of the Iris event hard maps (at least, not D2, the one I'm grinding for 138mm main gun blueprints). I've had to sub in DoY instead of Amagi, despite the decreased EXP efficiency this gives (I know it would've made more sense to sub DoY in for Hiei-chan but I didn't because 1: Hiei-chan is cuter than Amagi, 2: Hiei-chan is the only one of the three not yet at level 100, and 3: because the ship restrictions means I can't use my highest-level IJN front row ships to get the maximum benefit from Amagi's buffs - which are all DDs). Honestly, this event is just reminding me how frustrated I was to not get Nagato from the Ink-Stained Steel Sakura event (I have Mutsu, but I'm not wasting time I could be using grinding the event to get her up from lvl20 to minimum lvl80 to take on the hard mode maps - not to mention spending time and skill books to actually level up her barrage). Ugh, Nagatoooooooo...y u no come home...

    I've explained before, but I don't think you were a part of the shipwaifu thread at the time... I am a big fan of artist Ooyari Ashito, who just so happens to be the guy who designed Emile Bertin. As such, the simple fact I can finally add her to my port, set her as secretary, change skins and even retrofit her to see more of Ooyari-sensei's beautiful artwork is a blessing to me.

    Dragon Ball's genre is Shounen Action. In that vein I guess I'd have to recommend My Hero Academia (or Boku no Hero Academia for the pretentious), as a personal favourite. For general shounen action recommendations, I'd suggest checking out Super Eyepatch Wolf's channel on Youtube - he's really into the genre and knows his stuff. Also his Irish accent is charming (and I say that as an 80% hetero male). Other shounen options...honestly, the only thing I really want to emphasise is The Promised Neverland. It's "Dark" Shounen, but I'd class it as more of a Psychological Thriller. The first episode sets out the tone of the series pretty well, so you can easily decide from just that first episode if you want to continue. Oh, and the OP is an absolute belter: I've also heard good things of Dr Stone, but I don't know a thing about it so I can't vouch for it. I'm never entirely certain if Fullmetal Alchemist counts as shounen, but if you haven't seen either series it's well worth watching. Most would probably recommend watching the second series 'Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood', but be aware that the first 20-or-so episodes are giving you the run-down of the stuff from the first series that covered the manga and thus will feel rushed (the first series came out halfway through the manga and during a time where anime would typically make their own endings if the manga wasn't finished, so the second half of FMA is completely different from Brotherhood).

    Eeeehhhh, eeeeeeeehhhhhh...? 'Nerfed' might be a bit of a strong word for it. WG have given with one hand and taken away with the other - TRB in a separate slot? We're talking turning Yuudachi into pre-nerf Shiratsuyu but with longer-ranged torps than Shiratsuyu ever had. She needed some kind of nerf to compensate for that buff, so poof goes her concealment advantage (I mean, in all honesty, so long as the nerf wasn't giving her DWTs I'm fine with that).

    Yuubari's amazing! She's a sealclubber that requires actual skill, so by that measure she's brilliant for relaxing after...well, literally everything this game can throw at me. Yes, she only has four guns in two turrets. Yes, she is a cruiser with paper-thin armour and citadel that shares it's top plate with the deck. Yes, she only has 6km torps. The thing is, she's super-stealthy (stealthiest CL in the game, I think), has excellent handling (rudder shift and turning circle are DD-tier) and her guns pack a nice punch whilst also being super-accurate (if you equip the ASM0 mod). The trick to playing her is not to kite, but to dance. If you ever let go of either the A or D keys it's to switch to the other one. No other T3-5 ship is as accurate as she is (other than Katori, which also get's the ASM0 mod, but is a tier lower) so you can easily dodge all of your target's shells whilst 80% of yours hit their mark. You don't even care if you've only got one turret on target, because your accuracy is just so much better than theirs. I've had more than a few T5 DDs and CL/CAs try to gun duel me, only for them to lose substantially more HP than I do. My favourite thing in Yuubari is getting HE citadels on RN cruisers. Or surprise-torping a BB from behind an island. Oh, and the AA (with limited uses of DefAA to boot) just shreds T4 planes.

    To be fair, Yuubari only has any AA because WG used the post-refit design that traded her A gun turret for an additional AA mount. Well, if you're grinding for EXP and blue rarity ships one good thing about that level is that blue rarity ships drop on all nodes (not just the boss) and the more nodes you fight the more EXP you'll gain, so it's kinda a win-win situation. Unfortunately, Nicholas only drops on the boss node. And 9-3 is a true pain in the proverbial for clearing space to the boss. At least Houshou has the decency to drop on all nodes despite being purple. I got weirdly lucky when I got her: got her on the last node before the boss, and then immediately got a duplicate on the boss node. Oh I've already done more than 200 back when I was grinding for Monarch. FYI, I've now done Neptune and I've just started Ibuki Izumo.

    Ning Hai or Ping Hai. While you're at it, WG, give me some T3/4 premiums for me to seal club with (Wikipedia says that the Ning Hai class were similar to Yuubari in equipment, so T4 would be about right - although I suspect Ping Hai will be T3 due to substantial differences in design to her sister). Great for you guys. Meanwhile I'm sat here 100+ more attempts at 6-4 since the last time I mentioned it and still no poi. Oh well, I'm still gearing up my IJN BBs/BCs to grind for Izumo, so I don't mind if it takes a little while longer. After I get poi, I'm going to be moving on to 10-4 and 11-3 for the remaining Sendai class (I already have Naka from the Amagi event). The time to grind for Saint Louis and Roon will be after I get Izumo. Ibuki will be last as I want to use a Sendai-class team to grind for her and I have no idea how long it'll take to get them. The only problem I have with this plan is; if I get Yuudachi before starting or during my Izumo grind I don't know if my BB/BC backrow will be strong enough to grind 10-4/11-3 for Sendai and Jintsuu. I guess I could always grind 3-4 for more foxes (mainly to get the ing medal that aint retroactive), my exp efficiency will plummet, though.

I must be jumpy whenever IJN DDs and Deepwater torpedoes are mentioned in the same sentence. Oh well, my earlier post still stands, I WILL be just up-and-leaving if Yuudachi ends up with Asashio-style DWTs.
