Being a Brit, as much as I hate to admit it, I agree with you - although I'd put the fall from grace a little bit earlier; with the construction of Dreadnaught. As impressive as making everything else obsolete overnight is, the problem with making everything obsolete is you essentially level the playing field. Once we brought out a ship that became the new benchmark, everyone knew they were basing their ships on that and not anything else, giving them a chance to catch up to what we had. Then, as much as the Washington Naval Treaty made sense at the time, enacting it didn't just stifle everyone else's growth, it stifled our own (and essentially gave a head start to the Japanese, who started openly defying the treaty within a couple decades of signing it). Nazi Germany was unable to beat our already weakened Naval power because they, too, were heavily restricted by the Washington Naval Treaty - they were barely even allowed a fleet! Three battleships (that were primarily designed as commerce raiders) ain't gonna cut it against eight (off the top of my head; Scharn, Gneis and Bis versus QE, Warspite, KGV, POW, DOY, Nelson, Rodney and Hood). Not to mention Operation Sealion required air superiority in addition to sea, and the Luftwaffe just couldn't make any headway against the RAF. I'm not even going to count the difference in aircraft carrier numbers. In any case, after the loss of all three active battleships (and Tirpitz being permanently docked) Hitler threw a hissy fit, chucked all his toys out of the pram and decided to focus his industry on U-boats and fighting the Russians (and only one of those two things actually had even marginal success). I love when wehraboos suggest that Nazi Germany's naval power was a credible threat, when Biscuits got ed by outdated biplanes (which, it has been stated elsewhere, was partly down to a fault in her design having three propellers and two rudders). In short: whereas we were in a bad state financially and militarily, Germany was worse. -
I've got one Lone Warrior. I remember it well, I even tried sending the replay to Jingles, but it never got shown. This was back 2.75years ago, when I was still a sub-100 game newb: Playing in my Clemson/Wickes (don't remember which); last ally ship dies and I get the "You are our only hope" message, about a second later the last enemy BB dies due to flooding awarding "Only a Flesh Wound" to the ally DD who just died. It's me vs either four CLs or three CLs and a DD (memory is foggy). Anyway, I go full gunboat mode - finish off a St Louis that was on low health, and gun down a KM Cruiser on about half health (I'm dodging like a madman and using island cover like someone who knows what he's doing). At this point is where I'm foggy if there was a second St Louis or an enemy DD, but in either case they must have been low and easily taken out. Last enemy is a Danae, we end up in close quarters and somehow I don't end up getting shot to death or being torpedoed (I still hit him with at least one torp) and I finish him off with my guns. Note that I don't remember getting Kraken, so literally the only ships I killed in that battle were the ones I needed to win. Amusingly, checking out my stats page to see what achievements I do have, I found out I have three "Will to Win" achievements (the scenario-battle version of Lone Warrior). Yeah, looks like I had to drag my team kicking and screaming to victory on a couple of occasions in scenarios. Lucky U. I ain't got no AA-related cheevos, and I suspect there are many others like me. https://i.imgur.com/meftV0q.gif

Hopefully this give a reasonable idea of what the switch is capable of (through Youtube post-processing, ofc). The PS4 is more powerful than the Switch. -

Looks alright to me, but then I am already a Compile Heart/Idea Factory fan and am probably just used to their janky animations. -

I'm kinda-sorta working on those, but I don't have enough bullins to share with the French retros, so I'm kinda stuck. -

I know that, I was joking around. (And for the record, I like Cag too, I just also have an immense urge to squeeze potatoes...if you catch my drift) -

Lol, yes, 'character'. That's one word for it, I'd prefer 'member'. (Also, I wouldn't class Cagliostro as a loli, even ignoring that detail, but that's just me) -

Yep, that's her. That's Cagliostro, the father of alchemy cutest alchemical genius in the world of Granblue Fantasy. Known as Uncle Cog Cagliostro-chan to the fanbase. -

I don't know about Uncle Cog, but I definitely heard UMU in that voice. -

If someone gets mad at you because you don't play the same games as them...well, they're not really worth being friends with. HA! Whereas Gigguk's video was really more of a parody of how impenetrable the Fate/series is to newbies, the Lockstin&Gnoggin video I linked above goes for a deep-dive into the FE series' history (and this is a history that goes back to the Super Famicom!). Yes, you'd soon realise something was wrong when you try to find a cartridge slot on your Wii/Wii U for your Switch games... (FYI, Wii and Wii U are separate consoles) I don't think anyone, apart from a select few dedicated fans, really cares about Bogue. Which is odd, as the Japanese are really into baseball - like baseball is to them what football/soccer is to us Brits. -

Did she, now? I wasn't aware of that because Kitakaze isn't available on EN yet. -

I don't see any reason to berate you for not playing Ninty games. That's like saying you should berate me for not playing...uhm...War Thunder? (Not a good example, as WT is crap, but it's the only example I can think of that I know you've played) Sorry bud, you've still got a little while to go. FE does things VERY differently to FF (at least, compared with the mainline games, if you've played FF Tactics it's more similar to that, but more in-depth). If you have time, try watching this: It's a couple years old (and VERY long), but this covers all the games up to FE: Awakening (I forget if it includes FE: Fates). Yeah, the current Nintendo console is the Switch. I...think that is Yorktown. The artist makes everyone look very young. -

If you want some recommendations, you need only ask. AL is adding i-168 to the game. She's voiced by Tange Sakura! Whom, if you didn't know, also voiced these characters: Yes, I have. -
Naval Training Center - Ideas & suggestions
LOZFFVII replied to Crysantos's topic in General Discussion
The only thing that would entice me to regrind my shiplines would be some extra special cosmetics: The cosmetics cannot be turned off. I want people to know I grinded the line twice or three times just to show off. The cosmetics must be absurd. Think like Azur Lane gives you 'Gear Skins' that turn BB shells into snowballs or turning torpedoes into whiskey bottles. I want to drive around in a Gold-Plated Minotaur, with a big black box on the side positioned over where the citadel is, like "Shoot here, idiot!". I want fireworks as my flak bursts (complete with sound effects). Rainbow Tracers. For both shells and topedoes. I want the enemy battleships to feel fabulous when they get hit by my Shimakaze's 20km walls of skill. -

*Sorry for double-post* Yeah, I think Nintendo timed the reveal of the 5-year timeskip really well - just at the right time to get people motivated to buy the game. Also, holy hell, all of the house leaders look so cool after the timeskip! Well, the 26th is a Friday, so I have to work but I get my packages delivered to my work address, so I get to play it as soon as I get home. Just three weeks, my bro. -

I've been checking out this thread on the forums since I got to work at 9am this morning (I just haven't been logged in). I got the news from the horses mouth at the exact time it was posted. So, you didn't need to @ me. Don't get us wrong, WG, whereas I am happy there's no more performance enhancements attached to NTC, there are still many who would rather that there wasn't a re-grind either. Well, now that I know it's completely optional I know I can completely ignore this whole feature, unless some very special cosmetics are added. I want my Shimakaze to look... Ugh, ikr? It's so hot and humid here, compared with back in Off-Topic. Although, that could just be from all of the shouting... -

Oh, I already am taking a break. Victory campaign burned me out. Currently I'm playing Hitman 2 (2018) and Super Mario Maker 2. I'm actually getting pretty stoked to play FE Three Houses, myself (preordered the standard edition, even!). -

I agree with you, but a part of me is not quite able to just up-and-quit just yet (don't get me wrong, I'm sitting out this month as the Victory campaign burned me out for the last two months). I will be watching closely, though, and if NTC goes live on 8.7, as WG have suggested, I will be uninstalling. I have created an avatar to help everyone come under the same banner. -

I wouldn't even give WG that much leeway. Honestly, I'm extremely close to just hitting that 'uninstall' button and leaving until WG realise without their playerbase they are nothing. 1) No, Charles Martel is not available in AL. The only MN cruisers available are Emile Bertin and Saint Louis. 2) I have mentioned it, and you are dumb. But those are mutually exclusive things. I have a lot of favourites, and my personal #1 changes almost daily. I don't make a distinction of putting Kancolle or Azur Lane higher than the other one, rather I have separate lists for both. RJ (Ryuujou) is close to my heart, both KC and AL versions. I have a strong desire to cuddle the foreign (i.e. not Japanese) DDs from Kancolle (z-1 Leberecht Maass, z-3 Max Schultz, Libeccio, Maestrale, Jervis, Tashkent, Samuel B Roberts, Johnston, Fletcher, etc.). I also have a thing for tanlines, which puts i-400, i-401 (KC), and Le Mars (AL) high on my list. Obviously I love Emile Bertin as I am a massive Ooyari Ashito fan. I am also fond of Ning/Ping Hai, U-81, U-556 and several others from AL for a similar reason. I've always liked Yukikaze (KC), but I've grown more and more fond of AL's version just from her voice nanoda! I like both versions of Shimakaze. Oh, and Sirius has grown on me a lot since I got her...same with Sheffield. EDIT: I forgot Asakaze! How could I forget you, my sweet! This is far from being an exhaustive list. -
