    @Yxkraft Piece of advice: Mashum is what we charitably call an "Asashio Lover". Basically the kind of person who believes Asashio is the best ship in the game bar none and will use any and all kinds of troll logic to prove their point. I have learned after many, many such "conversations" that it's frequently just better to say your piece and leave them alone. A wise man once said "Never argue with a stupid person: they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." And now I'm about to go against my own good advice: I'm going to ask: By looking at Kagerou's and Asashio's stats can you list all the ways they are significantly different from each other? Now can you do the same but drop the obvious ones (DWTs and smoke+TRB)? As far as I (and most other people with a brain) can tell they are functionally identical, meaning that Asashio is functionally a Kagerou with DWTs and TRB and smoke in separate slots. Basically, if you have experience with Kagerou then you will find that Asashio feels identical just with a variant armament. The thing is, when there's a low number of BBs, Kagerou can still torp ships that Asashio can't. Meaning that when Asashio is forced to Kagerou can do that and still potentially do significant damage to the enemy via torpedoes. You can lie to yourself all day about how much better Asashio is, but the fact is, it isn't. On topic: This new mod is designed to nerf some of my favourite ships after they've been taking nerf after nerf and to make matters worse it's also designed just to make it easier for noobs to continue being noobs and not learn anything, as such I don't support this change. Actually, I'm really feeling like I might just quit this game for good as I don't feel like I'm having fun anymore.

    Yukikaze-sama, nanoda. Yukikaze-sama is the greatest captain in the game, nanoda. Also, similarly to @El2aZeR, I have Kaga on Kaga and it's fun hearing how aggressive she is. (However, unlike El2aZeR, I am pretty much average with CVs)

    Look, I'm not trying to have a go with you, but at this point your logic has me completely flummoxed. Can I just redirect you back to my original comment: I was pointing out how weird it is for the Azur Lane X World of Warships collab to have resulted in AL getting some of WoWS' fictional camouflage, considering that thus far it has mostly given us ships and guns. I don't understand how or why that made you think I was unaware of the imaginary camos available in WoWS.

    Ugh, my least-liked of the WoWS camos. Say what you want about the random colour splodges camos, at least they're not boring horizontal pinstripes. But yeah, this was a surprise. Of all WoWS-flavoured things to give us, they give us imaginary camouflage. At this point I'm going to start expecting things like a plush Koala that grants a buff specific to Perth (when she gets added...).

    What's wrong with horny characters? I use them because they are all cute. It's just a bonus they as a group are high-tier. And please don't take how I've equipped them as gospel, there's probably better ways to set them up.

    Merry Christmas to our European friends, who are "enjoying" the company of family and food today. And by a strange twist of fate, my family is also doing the traditional dinner and gift giving today instead of tomorrow, so I'll be clinking champange glasses in good company. Shame the rest of this stupid country can't wait to break away from the continent.

    By a technicality, yes that is in fact Izumo's gun, but if you want to prioritise Izumo's barrage you would want the gold twin 381mm advanced due to the faster rate of fire.

    She's still adorable, though. I wanna adopt her. I was waiting for her retro before I started the Ibuki grind, now I'm 62% the way through the 2m EXP requirement and thinking it's about damn time. Well, at least Kitakaze doesn't have a ship-specific requirement. If I'm not mistaken she actually has more skins than any other character in the game. Possibly only Atago and Saratoga come close.

    And here's the EN announcement: In other EN news (because I haven't been checking twitter in a while): Kisaragi is getting a retrofit. Yuubari's retrofit is coming to EN (yaaas! About time!). And Ayanami is getting yet another godamn skin! (And Z23 is still the only starter without a wedding skin. )

    I'm glad you liked it. I saw your last post but didn't want to say anything incase I spoiled something. Yeah the last two episodes really knocked it out of the park and I'm stoked for a second season (even if I've heard that the next arc is a bit weaker than the first).

    Check the in-game events list. There's a lead-up event called "Dawning Ceremony" that appears to feature a new IJN CL (it's the reason Shoukaku, Atago, Akatsuki and Shigure are currently getting an EXP bonus). We're guessing that Suruga (who's debut is in Azur Lane Crosswave for PS4/Steam) is going to be featured as part of the event due to her being added to the main F2P Azur Lane game. On a similar note, does this mean that Polaris is not going to be our new-years event? If so I think I might have a bit of a sad. I was really looking forward to Ning Hai, Ping Hai and Eldridge's L2D idol skins. Oh well, just gotta remain strong and hold onto my gems...

    Considering we don't have any Tenryuu or Kuma class ships in AL right now, I'm guessing she could be either. Here's hoping we get to see a retrofit Kitakami. Funnily enough, I was looking into IJN CLs just the other day when I was pondering what an IJN CL tech tree would look like in wows. The short answer is "weird", they have very few guns compared with CLs of other nations and even stick to single turrets into T6 with the Sendai class. All ships up to T7 would be real (with the Agano class) with T8, 9 and 10 being design/fictional. My guess is they would play more like DDs with citadels and have strong torpedo armament for their tier, perhaps even gaining a choice between smoke or TRB at T5/6+. They'd be super-stealthy (I'm thinking stealthiest CLs in game, like Yuubari but upgraded to match higher tier requirements), allowing them to play to their torpedo strengths and have the option of running smoke so they can start using their low gunpower from relative safety, or TRB to double-down on their already impressive torpedo armament. In other news:

    I have six. I'm not particularly bothered about using them up as I get one a week from missions alone, plus one a month from logins, and if I get particularly desperate I can grab any that show up in any of the shops. But then I'm not swimming in elites that I desperately need to get to maximum power right now. I'm thinking about Yuudachi and Z46, but I'm not desperate for either to be maxed just yet. Still, sound advice and I will consider it.
