I’d like to point out I never been personally chat banned myself in nearly 4 years of playing wows daily The original intention of the post was to try and explain why I have some of my players coming to me saying that have chat bans when they swear blind they’ve only been talking in division chats and not the ‘ALL’ or ‘Team’ channels To answer the ‘Then how do they get reported?’ Comments from earlier... We ALL know that the report system can by abused and I’ve often known or heard of players that you the ‘misbehaviour in chat’ report instead of the ‘Plays Badly’ one if someone has irritated them in battle as they know that has MORE of a possible effect...... So if for example.... you played a Smolensk or something along that lines that tends to trigger certain people in certain situations.... and THEN WG looks at the chat for that battle and it includes your division chat.... 2+2 might end up looking like 7.....

Huh...... Then why does WG usually reply with to appeal messages with comments such as ‘we have reviewed your chat history and found multiple uses of the words ‘ X, Y, Z’ etc etc? Have I got the wrong end of the stick somewhere along the line? lol 😂 Wouldn’t be the first time I’ll be honest!

Herrow chaps o7 I have a couple of clan mates that are constantly being chat banned for ever increasing periods (a not uncommon post topic on this forum) Like many others they have appealed to WG to explore why they have been given bans and left incredulous as when Sehales for example will message back after an investigation and reveal that they have chat history showing multiple violations and that the chat ban is justified. However......... Does this chat history word search differentiate between words said in ‘division chat’ and ‘general’ chat to other players? I have guys that swear that have deliberately made a point of not saying anything negative to random players in game BUT its pretty common place when in a division that we call eachother pretty much every name, every variation of t**t, C**T and w***er and expletive under the sun! 😂 That’s just how we crusty old farts talk over comms and most of my clan mates have known eachother for over 4-5 years through wows and met up in RL but for those players that don’t have/can’t use voice comms they HAVE to use the division channel when in game to respond in kind. I just wondered what criteria WG use or even if they make exceptions given that division chat is usually just friends talking to friends so any text that appeared ‘toxic’ in a history search would quite often be then taken by WG completely out of context from how it was intended and indeed taken Just a quick thought out of curiosity! 👍🏼

Apart from disagreeing strongly that only the T8 RN DD is any good (Jutland & Daring are awesome) - the rest is pretty sound and hard to argue with 👍🏼

Oh I think it’s still a blend of the two The more skill you exhibit, the higher the ‘chance’ of a good result 😉

Either this or please fix the Map Aware mod in the WoWs Modstation that’s been broken for ages - that made FC’ing much easier and more accurate
