Also pay attention, how much more he actually plays BBs. So when he is in port and thinks "Lets play T10... what should I pick..." 2 out of 3 times he goes for a BB. And then goes and makes a video saying "BBs are dying". Right. Hypocritical, delusional or deliberate attempt to influence the community / devs, so they buffs his favourite toy. Simple as that, there are no more then those possibilities.

Ofc, because the average player isnt capable to react to a given situation. These players never use the minimap. So now, that they have given the "perfect plan to victory" - do we expect them to all of a sudden use the minimap? ofc not. Reminds me of other horrible games ive seen playing a BB myself. Like... 5 BBs per side. im center, 2 left, 2 right. Naturally, the 2 BBs on the left feel, they rather want to be on the other side of the map. And big surprise, the 2 on the right side rather want to be left. So 4 BBs snail-race through the spawn for 10 mins to switch sides, while im somehow trying to stay alive, be usefull and stop the entire map from collapsing. Once we reache the 10 mins mark, those 4 BBs YOLO on the flanks and are dead within 2 mins. and you sit, still up against 5 realitvly healthy BBs, that are creating crossfires and think WTF?? Another great time was 4 of 5 BBs clumping on A cap on Islands of Ice and then deciding to push into the enemys there - because there was an Asashio spotted. Im typing my fingers bloody, trying to stop them and wait, till I take care of the Asashio. Nope. Asashio grabs 4 kills. The last one, while im already killing that bugger (I was Ognevoi) and in that moment I realize: that Asashio neither has Concealment Expert nor Last Stand. But 4 kills and ~ 200k damage. And those kind of players we expect to make tactical decisions based on the position of their teammates and the enemy team?

If you would play DDs or even Cruisers for a change, you would understand how "funny" it sounds to the rest of us what you just wrote.
-
You missunderstood @DariusJacek. Try reading again and keep in mind the concept of sarcasm.
-
Everything. Else I can just claim whatever I want, while its disconnected from the reality. What are you trying to say here? elaborate?
-
Yes? No. Please atleast stick to the fact when trying to make a point. Reality is: you are much better in BBs.
-
Well then he shouldnt complain? I played Fiji myself back in the first T7 ranked season. So I put Belfasts in the enemy team quite often myself. Was the best ranked season ive ever had. And that says it all I guess.
-
Well, a T7 clanwar season would actually end up in a shistorm, mainly because of Belfast. For all I care, put Belfast back in the shop for the duration of the clanwars. WG only cares about profit anyway so its not even unrealistic. And would they care, if we object to something like this? And before you ask: yes, im disillusioned at this point... But I would actually take the chances on a T9 clanwar. Even with all the premiums around. But T4 sounds possible aswell. Why not. But then ofc we would have CVs again. But not 15x4 SAP shells in the air, ignoring any laws of physic. Disclaimer: Dont take me too serious. Im just bored to tears & annoying from Venezias.

Nice try. The Discussion you guys had was about the Buffalo tho. I however reminded you, that the topic is about Baltimore. So before you critizise someone, you might want to stick to facts not try to twitst peoples words in their mouth to look smart. Because guess what: most people are quite intelligent and look through it. And then you are left left standing like this.
-
Your opinion is noted. However this is a topic, where someone is asking how to be as effective as possible in the Baltimore. And its obvious, the build DFens is suggesting, is working much better then what you suggest to play. So im afraid to tell you, you dont have many arguments left? Implying, that dealing double the damage and having more match influence in less fun? how? And if you think, that f.e. DFens is hugging an island at 18 km spamming HE with his Baltimore, then I can tell you first hand: you couldnt be more wrong. And the decision between range and reload module doent impact the flexibility. If anything - its round the other way. Range mod gives you the flexibility to be long range, when you need to be. Its especially viable when you actually need to kite with your high tier US cruiser. Then you want to be as far away from the BBs as possible while still beeing able to shoot.
-
His and your Buffalo stats disagree with you. heavily.
-
I very much doubt it. unless you already own almost all other premium ships. if you dont, and I suppose a new player like OP doesnt have many of them, you need to multiply that number a couple of times. Either way, if you have all other premiums, you also spend money for those. So the pay barrier to get to a missouri right now is a four-digit-number for sure.
-
Stop forcing T10 upon us would be a start. For all I care make it a T3 season. Thatll solve the problem with new players not having access to clanwars (and the CV thingy aswell^^)
-
Absolutly true. If anything, the season showed, that CVs actually are not THAT important in case of winning (in a clan vs clan environment). Doesnt get you far if you have some of the best CV players around available, yet your team doesnt live up to the standard.
-
....which is absolutly an exagaration because last 2 seasons our clan never fielded Des Moines nor Somers. And everyone playing the last seasons will attest, that there was a lot more fluctuations in the line ups. And neither did we have topics about a stale CB meta to that extent, top clans changing their names to protest or, speaking for my clan now, half the clan rage quitting the season or not beeing able to participate from the start because lacking the right ships. So yea, sorry but not true.
-
I´d argue that clanbattles are not "real" competetive. Its a step in that direction but shouldnt be "hardcore" competetive. Because after all, its open to every clan as it should be. And now comes the but: Technically, its open for every clan and every player. The rental ships attest to that. In practice: it isnt. If you dont have the meta ships - which are 2 basically (A clan, where everyone has a Haku but nobody a Venezia aint gonna help you, thats why I narrow it down to 2), can hardly participate. Now granted, I have no idea how the lower leagues look like right now, maybe there is a parallel meta played with different ships. Who knows. But yes, in that sense, the season is worse then any other before. Because there always as a bigger list of ships, that are viable. That also meant, you meet different setup that play different. So there was more fluctuations / adaption between the games. Some clans beat you with a weird line up because you couldnt predict what they are doing. Sometimes you got outspotted, sometimes you outspot. You had to think and use your own lineup accordigly. This is all gone. So basically the same what you say here: ofc you can have a different view about the outcome. You could argue, that its ok, that you are not competetive, if you lack the meta ships. Id argue, you should atleast be somewhat competetive even without the meta ships. But I think we can all agree upon: if you have no Venezias available, you are not going to go far. IMO - its a problem. And a sign, that either a) something wrong with that particular ship or atleast b) something wrong with that ship in this given environment. Again - I can see a discussion about point A - but not about point B. Venezia in THIS CB environment has too much going for it. And that created the Meta we hate.

"They" simply throw more money at WG. Easy as that.

Pretty much this. We slowly lost all Stalingrad players (including me), because every game you just try to tank, dodge with the little tools you have left and survive longer then the enemy Stalingrad. Today we played "f*** we dont care anymore" fielding whatever we felt like. We played Yoshino, Kremlin, Yueyang, Gearing, Puerto Rico - did I forget something? oh yea, Minotaur, Worcester and Smolensk. Was fun. But wouldnt be fun for more then one night I guess. We actually beat some hurricane clans cuz they just couldnt deal with wtf we are doing. Everyone so caught up in this Venezia-Stalin-CV meta, they dont know how to react anymore, if they see anything else. And for the general: Over the past 18 months, WG took most things I concidered fun about this games: Dynamo, Narai, Ops in general, T7 and the occasional T4 game. Now they ruined Clanwars. I havent played a random game in over 4 weeks. And im actually asking myself "why are you playing clanwars? you get steel for ship you wont be playing because you dislike randoms" and I also have the current steel ships so it makes even less sense to force myself playing clanwars.

PSA: Shikishima for 32.000 Steel
ForlornSailor replied to wot_2016_gunner's topic in General Discussion
Well, you can always convert to coal... sounds like we are in a similar position and recycling the steel into coal sounds more tempting with every day passing. Almost as if WG wants us to do it... Seriously, 32.000 steel transforms into 320.000 coal. Now check that the coal BBs are priced at and think about it. -
go - play - DDs - then. If its soooo easy. Oh wait. you did. and failed misserably. aaaawkward!!!

WG finally listened; not powecreeping with Petropavlosk
ForlornSailor replied to ImTryingButYouDontHelp's topic in General Discussion
Yes, and that must be the reason why @DFens_666 refuses to play Stalingrad in clanwars and clings to his Venezia. Because Stalingrad is stronger then Venezia. And because Stalingrad is so OP, I myself rather play Smolensk in the current clanwars instead of beeing free farmed in Stalingrad while beeing able to deal 30k damage back in the entire round. If the enemys let me. -
The God of Hosho SealClubbers giving a nice welcome to new players and people starting new lines.
ForlornSailor replied to Furius_Marius's topic in General Discussion
Actually he is everything but that. He is a one-trick pony. Leeching on low tiers with the most OP ship ever existed. Too afraid to play anything beyond T6 because he only loses there. Despicable. And a shame, that WG allows this to happen. -

Since people with such a profile are kinda rare, its easy to remember it. You could actually go and "reverse engineer" to find his profile. Actually, let me see if I can find it......a few moments later.... got him. He actually played another Hosho game in the meanwhile. -
