    Games were pretty clear victories for the other 2 servers. Essentially the NA teams had problems to play for the objectives, while especially the russian teams totally surprised the other teams with their super aggressive strategies (living up to the meme I guess).

    And for you, the word "divisions" actually does this. There is also no difference, when I catch a DD in my Z´s hydro and my divis cruiser blasts him back to port. And ill correct you again: its not called "rigging" or "artificially boosting WR" (w/e that means), its called : TEAMPLAY.

    So where is the difference to the cruiser, that gets spotted by a CV early while trying to get into position and getting blasted from the BBs on your side? Or the DD, that is actually playing the game, going for the objective, losing first half of his health to rocket planes & other half to the spotting of the CV? Ill answer for you: no difference. suck it up. It only perfectly shows the attitude of players like you any why you chose this class. Let me sum it up for you "waah waah, I dont want people to shoot at me waah waah".

    I think WG is pretty happy with the matchmaking. Especially when it comes to individual factors of how teams are composed. In that sense, they stated several times over and over, that random games are random, which includes the matchmaking. Same for +/-2 mm, whoch most likely will never change either. The only change they applied, was the introduction of more T10 only battles and an internal counter, which prevents you beeing low tier in a certain ship above a certain ratio. So at some point you are guarenteed to be top tier. However, it still leaves some open questions for me, like how do divisions impact this and do only random battles count? And about the T10-only battles - im not even sure if Im happy with the way it is now. Yes, T8 used to have it harder, with constantly fighting T10s. But T8 ships actually do way better in a T10 environment then T7s in T9 games. Which is now happening at a much too high frequency. Id love WG to somehow look into this, and if its by creating more T9 only battles or such. #MakeT7GreatAgain

    I second that. and this. I hate Friesland for exactly the mentioned reasons. No torps, you feel like you are crippled, trying to scratch your missing leg, which is still itching all the time. And thats coming from someone who loves pretty much all DDs in the game and can hardly decide which T9 DD I want to pick. Only Friesland stays in port, thats for sure.

    There are more levels to it. It really depends. Not every loss is frustrating, not every win is awesome. I had losses, where I felt, my team did the best they could and so did the enemys. Those are usualy close games over the full 20 minutes, very tense all the way and decided by small margins. Thats a good game. Winning in 6 minutes without any resitance is usually meh - unless you played a huge role in that yourself - I recall 1 of such games while writing, where I charged 3 DDs with my Kronshtadt and then caught an Ibuki full broadside and smashed him too. Game over in 6 mins due to points. That still was a good game, because it was a lot of action and high controbution from me. Similar games where you end with 25k damage because the enemys vaporize be the hands of your team ofc feel pretty boring. So I do agree with your statement, but whats ruining the games, for winner or loser team, is the abysmal skill or non-willingness to play the game from part of the playerbase. And when 5, 6 or even more of such players are thrown into one team... good night. Had one of those games today again. urgh. a tripple division that sill sits at the map border even while the enemys have 800 points and 3 caps + a DD that says "I go C" - while he spawnd at A. thats enough to ruin a game. Should be possible to look up or calculate, if you throw the data into excel or access: https://wows-numbers.com/ranking/type,div3/ thats the results of 3x divisions sorted by winrate. And divisions are (roughly) matched, atleast in most cases. But you cant match their skill and imo the game shouldnt. Good players shouldnt be punished and neither should bad players be pampered. Imagine 3x Yamato division with 25% WR - they would only be matched with a similar useless division - why? They are super bad, super bad for the game and should actually feel constantly, that they do everything wrong. Not beeing artifically put into an easier environment, which makes it easier for them to achieve wins, XP and credits. 31 games is still very low and a little bit of luck in a few games can easily skew the winrate by double-digit margin. Feel free to use my stats from 2020 (proships is only russian tho), this is 3x division: Thats 78% with a mix of ships, mostly higher tiers (avg 8,1), nothing really try hard, just division with skilled players. If you want to place Ranked of the same time against it, there im around 60...61% this year. But yea, 3x division will usually yield you a higher Winrate, if everyone knows what they are doing. On the other hand: you will achieve lower damage, lower kills, simply because you compete with better players all the time.

    Been asking that for years and I really dont understand why WG isnt going there. Would make perfect sense. On some ships like DoY or Bismarck I own several perma camos and they all do.. the same. great. Im excited.

    Because economy is already too easy on people and that actually did change over the years. You would find more support here if you were to ask for raising the service costs of premium/freemium/special/etc ships. Results is the same what you want - both create the same amount of credits ^^
  14. Ill add something new to the list of "how to counterplay Radar" etc. I call it "use the moving island" I took the screen a moment too late, I was actually spotted before and from the targeted marker, you could see, the mino was trying to shoot me but hit the BB :D

    And who had to take care of the DDs? Thats right, me again. Insane, that the enemy team is so often helping each other with radars and hydros, in that game aswell twice. But im having a Moskva behind me, while the Akizuki sits in his smoke, farming me on the enemys Petro radar and doing nothing, even im shouting in the chat to RADAR THE GOD DAMN AKIZUKI. joke was on him tho, he was so busy spamming me, he forgot about torks coming into his smoke cloud. Then I thought: lets be bold and take out Marceau for the first random game. Im usualy not comfortable with french DDs but it turned out to be love at first sight. Although im not sure if im doing it right, riding around into BBs broadsides and torping them? xD Missed kraken by 1 torp, because the Yamato actually managed to dodge one torp... was so close! He survived with 11k and would have taked it in the bow, so should have been enough.

    Not necessarily. But winning is atleast better then losing. Not really relevant? But the general answer, if you talk about unicums, is pretty much this: Solo you can go to 60%, 3x divisions into the lower 80%. Sure, you might be able to push both numbers higher, if you are a super super unicum in a certain ship and / or you try hard. You might be able to push a T2 divi into the 95% range I suppose. Ofc it is. Because individual skill and teamplay. btw: you put 3 people with 40% WR together, and they actually start to have winrates in the lower 20% range. You can look that all up on the statistic pages.
  17. Are we argueing sematics now? "can" means, its is possible to dodge it. Doesnt mean it actually happens 100% of the time. Actually goes without saying, so I thought. Yet here we are. And yet here we are aswell: Completly irrelevant how many planes someone actually loses, as long as he isnt stopped in flying in attacks. You are completly missing the point due to your personal hate against better players. But yea, ill use your logic aswell now. Look at this. AP ruining my Neptune. Anyone claims, AP can be dodged, bounced or any other way mitigated, he is just a lying scm unicum! It COMPLETLY RUINED MY POOR NEPTUNE GAME! DONT YOU DARE CLAIM OTHERWISE! SEE HOW AP HIT ME? HUH??? Now go and prove me wrong. But prepare for tons of your self-defeating logic to flow your way aswell.

    Thats something we all have to ask ourselfes. I personally dont need the rewards from the clan battles. At the same time, that im saying this, I understand, that this is completly different for everyone, that hasnt been playing clanbattles and ranked forever and/or reached high ranks in those modes, because they could not stack up on steel as much. So yes, a boycott on a scale, that really makes a difference, is very unlikely. Its like asking a 6 year old to not eat his candy, because he will get diabetes from it when he is old. They still need a clan tho. And if said clan agrees to not field CV, then the few CV players in those clans just have to suck it up. Anyway, dont underestimate the power of a community. As ive mentioned earlier, ive been part of one gaming community, where we actually managed to show the devs the middle finger by creating our own environment. And needless to say, for a long time, we tried the same as what people do here: complain on the forums, try to reach out to the devs, reason with them, give them data why their decisions are bad for the game and what not. Ofc they didnt listen nor care. The similarities are quite fascinating actually. So yea, if we really really want it, we can make a difference. thinking about it, there kinda is also option 4: people beeing so annoyed and bored by the nature of this season, that they just wont participate.

    If we are honest and realistic about the entire topic at hand, then we all are actually wasting our time. We should know by now, that its not going to change a damn thing. WG is marching over the will and ideas of the community, especially when it comes to everything CV-related, like a freight train over a dead mouse. So we have three options, as a community: - Ignore clanbattles and seriously boycott them as absolute 0 participation. - Push for a gentlemens agreement across the community: Dont use a CV! And get as many clans as possible involved. - Accept what WG is doing and play clanbattles, because for some reason we cant live without the steel and other "goodies".

    Ill try to put a new twist to it. Who of us really needs clanwars? Who of us needs randoms for that matter? We sit on large number of ressources, we have all ship. If we dont have one, most of us can free XP it. Yet we go back to randoms and clanwars and hate about everything. We actually dont need to. You look for a certain way to to play the game? Lets do it in the training room. Who even needs organiszed tournaments? We all sit in dozens of Discords channels with hundreds of players. Gather 24 of em, or w/e number you wanna do, mix the team, or clan vs clan, w/e you come up with, agree on cerain ships, classes, tier, map, anything goes. And just play the game, if thats what people are really interested in. Back in another games community, 15 years ago, the community was at the same point. And we actually did it back then. With the help of IRQ and a bot and servers, that we payed for ourselves, we created a random game environment for the skilled part of the community. Best thing we ever did. Tons of fun, no more noobs ruining games, no need to be angry about the game beeing dictated into a certain way and what not. Just - playing - the - game. The way we wanted. So what are we waiting for? Lets use the energy to build something like that here. Its way easier nowadays.
  21. You have to look at one and only, exactly one factor, to determine, if they are usefull or not: Do you shoot down more planes and if so, enough to make the CV hurt? And to determine this, we have to understand how plane health works. Once plane return to CV (actually once it leaves the engagement of the AA), it has full health again, like magic. So if you would have dealth (I will exxaggurate now) 1 % damage of the planes health without any skills/modules OR would have dealt 99 % deamage of the planes health with ALL skills/modules: the result is the same, you didnt impact the CV. Small addition: if you manage to stop several attack runs with one squad, you might have lowered the CVs damage output a little. But overall, you pull bigger AA-damage numbers but the effect of that might actually, under certain circumstance, be exactly 0. And also, if you skill for AA and you meet a real shitter CV, and you shoot down 50, 60, 70 planes, it gives you the impression "wow my AA build was so awesome" - while you would have shot down the same or almost the same number of planes regardless.
  22. Man, there is nothing to be done. Once again: There are 2 extreme scenarios. A: You meet a super unicum. As I explained before, his target selection and AA-dodge abilities are so advanced, he will make his attacks. Only option: form a blob of 12 ships in the spawn. Result: You will counter him. And lose the game in 6 mins unless the enemy team speedboosts 1 by 1 into your blobb to prevent a point win. B:You meet a herp-a-derp-red-stat-CV. He will collect any flak bubble. You will take down his entire squad with a Gearing before he touched you. Congratulations. This didnt matter at all since he is utterly useless either way, avg about 5k damage per game, prolly with secondaries. Now ofc there is fluctuation between A and B, since people have obviously different skill levels. 80% of our CV population is closer to B tho. And ill give you one anecdote from the very few CV games ive played: In one of those games, the entire team of 12 ships stayed in the spawn, blobbing around their BBs and CVs, obviously because they were afraid of the CV attacks. Yea, great, they countered me. Even the continous AA was enough to prevent decent attacks from me. They lost the game in 6 mins, one of my fastest and easiest wins ever. Because if you give up the map, you give up the chance to win. I had something like 11k damage. Great counter, AA was very effective right?
  23. Again the same thing? You didnt understood the last time? Dont you still get it, that its irrelevant if you dont manage to dodge all? Dont you understand, that the absolute only single relevant factor is, to keep enough planes alive, so that you can fly attacks with any planeclass at any point? Who cares about the exact number of flaks avoided or taken during a match? Do you think, CV players like @El2aZeR or @__Helmut_Kohl__ count the number of flaks, that hit them during a game? No, they dont care about that, they know how to dodge enough of the black clouds, know which targets to attack and know how to apporach those targets to keep their plane losses at a minimum. And thats all that counts. So, yes, overall, flak for them is useless. Doesnt mean, they claim, they "dodge all flak" nor does it matter in the first place. Can you get over this and finally understand it? You seem to have a huuuge problem with that since you keep going back to this over and over again for months to come.

    In my first game today, my side lost 3 of the 4 BBs within 5 mins. First blood was a Tirpitz roughly 3 mins in the game. I dont even know how that is possible. THAT is the real frustrating thing, the cluelessness of people. And that also leads to the roflstomps and/or super heavy uphill stuggles. When your team has 1 BB left and the game is in the early to mid stage, while the enemys has all 4 BBs on 90+% health then making a comeback from that is almost impossible. The chances of your cruisers beeing blabbed or going down to the fire of the 4 BBs compared to what your 1 BB, even if a super unicum, can do to prevent the loss, is yea, well, we all know how it goes else we wouldnt be here. The root of the problem is the skill of the players and/or the will to actually play the game. I repeat myself but if WG would attack this, all problems would vanish or become very tiny compared to right now. Dont sell T9+ ships, dont make the economy as easy as it is right now. But at the same time that im asking this, I know it wont happen, since those clueless players throw a lot of money at WG. We are doomed, thats just the way it is.

    What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

    One of those games, where your hands are shaking afterwards. Team was barely hanging on the entire match. You know you are in trouble when your T7 DD complains about the mm and tells everyone "I just want to get my B-hull". Last minute we had a small lead but enemys took control of second cap, the CV was rushing me and keeping me spotted, our Fiji was in proxy range of the Lion and I was caught inbetween the Lion and the CV. So I used my smoke to turn towards the Lion, rushed out, knewing he has one shot on either me or Fiji so he cant kill us both. I just hade to make sure the torps hit. And they did which secured the win, even surviving the Lion salvo close range. But even with a trade it would have been a win by points then.
