Enjoy the ban then. Nothing more to be said I guess. First things first. You need to build up the skill to get there. That path could lead you through several clans, while you constantly get better. And thus your winrate will increase and maybe open up a spot at a high clan and so on. Its gonna take time, dont focus on the final goal, but take it step by step.

    Alaska advice please!

Perfect Video - that first minute with the Yamato is exactly what I tried to tell with "beeing an oppotunist, get in position using islands to get broadsides, mid- to close range & brawl BBs in late game". Video just brings the point across so much better. Some players would kite and shoot HE at that yamato - then you will underperform in Alaska. @DerpyMcDoom make sure to check out that video, it really tells you a lot about Alaska.

Well, you just described a random system. What you are asking for, is a system, that prevents something from happening. So you actually want a non-random system. And for the nth-time: by distributing bad players "evenly" among teams you dont raise the quality of the game. The only thing you do, by devorcing 40%ers and placing them in opposite teams, is, to push all of them closer to a 50% WR. How does that help the game, and even more important: how do YOU want to identify the sour grapes in the future? After all, you just used Winrate to determine, who was a bad player and found that to be the reason, that you lost. What you gonna do when everyone has 50%? Whom you gonna blame for a loss then? You think you win more then? Your own system will make sure, you stay at 50%. So you actually lose more often. How will you be more happy?

    Alaska advice please!

Alaska needed a while for me to click aswell. She is an oppotunist. Alaska is most deadly between mid- to close range when you catch stuff broadsides. Cruisers can really be oneshots. You can play Alaska like an oversized DM. Use islands to get stealthy into position and pick your targets thoughtfully by moving in their broadsides. Make sure you cant get focused by many ships early to midgame in such rather offensive positions. Late game - you can go brawl anything that has no torps and is not a DM-class. Going into a brawl with a BB is hilarious in Alaska. Musashi/Yamato still can be really dangerous, but you can beat them by outmoving their slow gun traverse. then they are just XP-pinatas. But yea, to be able to make such plays late game, you want to preserve your health earlier on. Which has nothing to do with beeing passive, just pick your positions as I described.
  5. Because its logical. And people went to check. And when you go: it actually makes sense. And we dont know if the comments were really made at the begining or if that is just changed a bit to make the story sound better. nevertheless, in some situations, it takes me less then 60 sec aswell to spot a total useless player, which then I could call out If I chose to.
  6. Not long ago, you tried to get into his clan, citing he is one of your "friends". What happened to that?

DDs Gameplay and no teamwork these days

What helped me a lot and sped up the learning process of DDs was playing in divisions. For one reasons mostly: Your division mates give the perfect feedback for your actions, especially about spotting. You might not realize it, when you lose vision on an important target or when you put a smoke in the wrong time. But they will let you know. And what counts for the Cruiser or BB in the divisions goes for all the rest of the players in your team aswell. Pretty fast, you develope a feeling for that yourself.

DDs Gameplay and no teamwork these days

Talking about using guns on Kagero and Shima it sounds like you missplay this class of DD. Ofc when you give away your position people will dodge the torps... And shima and Kagero are not made to engage other ships with their guns primarly, especially when you are still in the learning process as a player and with those DDs. Then you keep your guns silent at ALL times, until you have learned, which are the situations when you should/could use the guns. This is what I actually suggest to you: dont smoke up, dont use your guns for now. Focus on staying undetected, focus on getting the objectives, focus on keeping the enemys spotted for your team if possible at all times and then concentrate on your torpedos. Learn to read the maps and thus predict movements. Is there an island in the path of the BB you want to torp? which means, he has to turn somewhere eventually. Which path is he likely to go. etc. Ill give you an example whats possible with prediction: Here I see the Kitakaze. I wait a moment, if he is contesting B-cap. He isnt. Which tells me, he is continueing his path around the island and will be traveling broadside into my torps. Rest is experiance and a little bit of luck.

DDs Gameplay and no teamwork these days

Shima is actually one of the most save DDs to play in high tiers. I need radar to go through terrain to be able to play my DDs efficiently. You have still quite a path to go, young padawan.

High XP earner plays for the team/win? NO!

He was out of heals. There was no more breather. Absolutly not, concidering 2 other BBs were there. Izumo and KGV should have stopped there, eventhough they like a55 up until there, they could have still made up for it and turned it into an easy win. Last enemys where all in B in a pile. Massa stopped them from turning. Izumo and KGB WOULD have had their broadsides but chose to go cowardly behind the islands to the right - THATS whats cost the game. Jack s he was offensive. He even throws the game 100% by taking the ram cuz that dude gives a rata55 about winning games. He couldnt have known if the Kutuzov kills the Alaska - it was 1,5k left on the Alaska. A good Izumo in that situation (well wouldnt be in that situation in the first place but lets run with it) would have went for the drive by, take the kill WITHOUT dying to have a chance to win. Instea, he makes it a 100% loss. There was a path to victory with 30 sec on the clock. As I said: Kutuzov gets ONE more shot, the Alaska is dead, game is within 60 points, which means: the Izumo kills the enemy BB while not dying: win. But those rotten tomates do not understand anything about points and wins, thus they are 40%ers in the first place. No need to try and look for something decent in his actions: he was utter utter useless from 00:01 to 19:59 of the game. Not a single good thing he did.

Should I, or should I not, buy the Massachusetts?

Meh, I disagree. NC and Massa are completly different in playstyle. They need different captains aswell. One might just draw the conclusion, because they look alike. About the topic: Massa is a little bit overrated. Im not that happy actually getting her. When you love accurate main guns on BBs, like Nagato or NC aswell, you will often be very dissapointed with those shotguns. Sure, if you like a brawling BB, one will prefer Massa over NC. For me its exactly the opposite. Also, when talking about the playstyle of Massa, we have to keep one thing in mind: she is very dependend on matchmaker, more then any other T8 in my opinion. When you get into a (heavy) T6 game, you are a god, a monster. You are the only T8 BB in the a T10 game - its hell. In the few games with Massa in randoms for me, I was often unlucky to have super heavy T10 games. And it shows. We can also see it from some of the screens posted here - the superb results come from T6 games. Makes sense, secondaries shred everything low tier, cruisers dont have heal, dont have enough pen, low dpm - then Massa can deal with the little damage she takes, even when overextending a little to make use of secondaries, much better thx to fast heal. In T10 you cant do that. So by all means, Massa is not a must have. Its good for T8 Ranked, good for Clan Brawl T8 if it returns but for randoms you dont need it, unless you want to meme with the secondaries and dont mind having rough games in between, where you´d wish to be in another BB.
  13. Its your fault because YOU DIDNT SUPPORT THE PUSH !!11 (I seriously got once accused for beeing the reason, since I was the only one trying to delay the enemys on the rest of the map - got me 7 reports. Was a very special team. But ofc me beeing full Hp, kiting several enemys, while the 11 ships on the lemming train all died was also a sign of me beeing a n00b^^)

High XP earner plays for the team/win? NO!

I tried to bring this point across right after Alaska was released (and specifically mentioned Neptune back then) but WG didnt want to listen. Can still find that topic somewhere back in the forum with replys from WG officals. Neptune used to be a really strong T9 cruiser, one of my favourites. But yes, with Alaska beeing an option, why would you play Neptune (or Seattle for that matter)? The more I think about it, the more I realize, that T9 and T10 non-silver ships are a huge problem and should never exist, for several reasons.

Thats true. Has been like that ever since they eased the T8 mm. IMO its much worse to face T9s as a T7 then playing against T10 when beeing a T8 ship tho. I dont feel like playing T7 anymore, eventhough it used to be my favourite Tier.

    Operations like Narai, Aegis etc

not really. The CV rework argument I suspect to be a scapegoat from WG. Also, a lot of players used to be active in PvE - if you were part of that community, you knew. Even the ingame operations channel was blasting with messages, and im literally talking a wall of text. So that wasnt it. Only the "WG wants to focus on PvP" seems true. Plus they didnt like the farming going on in the operations. Thats why Dynamo had to go first. The community perfected the farming, so you made over 30k free XP and/or way past 50k cpt XP in about 12 minutes. Thats also the reason, why they shrank the XP for 4 man teams in Narai - because the community perfected farming with a team of 4 there. I guess WG thought, you couldnt beat Narai with 4 players. So the answer for @Vana_Kurat is: you can forget about Operations. It will only get worse, sadly.
  20. I was thinking a little bit, if I shall make this public or not. I feel, it has the potential to create a(nother) shitstorm during the stream, which would be contrary to the cause. *Update on the situation dec 16. lower in the post* Here is the thing: That event is kinda advertised in a way, that you will get a reward for donating: Which is fine. WG looks generous, because they dont create incoming, it gets ppl to open their wallet for a good cause and we get something back. win-win-win. Right? Well. I did a little digging. Here is the thing: So, every ship is available about 3 times - since there are 3 times for each ship. Once they are gone, you have to chose something else or go out home empty handed. And you cant see anymore, which rewards are still available, because the page now looks like this: https://donate.tiltify.com/+world-of-warships-community/charity-ship So there is no guarentee that you get one of those ships when you donate! Im not sure why you limit the availability (well I have a suspicion). But I dont think its right. I personally have advertised this event to several people and I got good feedback. I literally had ppl telling me things like "its for a good cause and we get a nice ship, so lets just throw out 100 bucks". I will now ofc go back to those ppl and make them aware, that they might go home empty handed. And because its important, ill add this: If you feel like donating to a good cause - do it anyway. Dont need to do it on this event, just pick an organisation, that you feel does something good which you care about! You can for example donate to WWF here : https://support.worldwildlife.org/site/SPageNavigator/donate_to_charity which is btw a nice example for a transparent method of organizing soemthing like this! I can also pick a thank-you-gift. The socks are not hidden on the next page. There is no "1 pair of socks available" counter. Im, again, a little bit dissapointed WG. Merry Xmas to you too... Update: WG answered to those concerns. There is also more information avaiable here now:

Stats are the ultimate and final check if something is indeed overpowered or not. And, well, if you argue, that something can only be overpowered at that moment, when the absolute worst play even nets you superb results, then... Anyway. A ship/class beeing overpowered yields extreme results on both ends. Especially when we talk about CVs, since they are always directly matched and on high tiers 1vs1. There are CV players with lower then 30% WR, which is, for solo play, unheard of in other classes. On the other had, we have players, that reach ~80% WR with CVs in solo play. Both is undeniable proof, that this class has too much impact. Or do you think, its reasonable for one person is a 12vs12 envirnoment to imapact the game this much, that he wins 8 out of 10 games? Leaving skill aside, because ofc you have to be a top player in the first place to be able to pull it off. This again is unheard of for other classes. No blobbing doesnt really work either. First of all, you will never manage to make an entire random team blobb. And even if, this means, you use your entire fleet to counter one ship. And in that process, you give up around 80% of map control. Your ships will then be spotted and crossfired from all directions, leaving all objectives to the enemys. I actually, while writing this, recall one of my rare CV games gone like this. Yes, they all blobbed in the spawn to counter my plane attacks. Yes, I did very little damage with my Hosho, even there hardly is AA on T4, when all ships shoot at you, you dont get a lot of stuff through. Yet it was a 6:30 or something win. Our team took the epicenter and crossfired the enemys back to the stoneage. So is this proof now, that CVs can be countered? (I had 84 k spotting damage btw, in a ~ 5 min engagement game in T4) Id argue, its the perfect argument, why CVs can not be countered.

The thing is this: the only factor, which decides, if you can shoot down planes these days, is the skill of the enemy CV players. Yes, you will get a few here and there regardless, but this is all meaningless unless you touch the reserves and prevent the CV from starting full squads. Good CV players know how to use their plane resources to the max. Having full plane reserves at the end of the game means, you prolly lost on damage since you were too careful with attacks. About shooting down 13 Midway planes as a Hipper: The only thing it shows, is, that this Midway has no idea how to play. If you look up his stats, he will show anything between 29 to 39% WR in his Midway. Or your mate mistook "real"planes for fighter planes on top of it. Which still points to the Midway not beeing a decent player. I mean you can go with your Hipper to a training room with @El2aZeR and can try to shoot down 13 of his planes before you sink... just saying.

Well, the thing is: its worthwhile for even the losing side to drag this game on, since it will increase your credit and XP income. You might have some nice signals and camos on. A 5 min loss is often in the region of 300 to 450 base XP. But a losing battle, where you do good and fight for several minutes, eventhough you know is lost, can get you pass 1000 base XP very easy, sometimes even up to 2000 base XP. Then the game is, eventhough a loss, very worthwhile. And its dangerous to try and implement an environment, where people are like "ah thats lost, lets go to the next game" - you will flip the entire game sooner or later by that. People will just quit 2 mins in, after one ship died. And this would happen in each and every game at some point, if we make it not worthwhile to keep fighting a losing battle. Then you created what you tried to avoid in the first place.

You are right about this part (Ill leave the realism part out of it because it doesnt really make for a good argument or topic to discuss about) but you name one of the huge problems in there: the CCs. As long as we have toxic CCs, especially the most famous ones, that are constantly beeing toxic, the community will follow that lead. Now im not gonna blame everything on them, thats too easy of an excuse aswell. There will always be toxic people, no matter what kind of an example anyone sets. But one thing I can say for sure: over the years, especially in this game, ive learned, that when you want someone to do something that you want, you have a way higher chance of achieving that by beeing nice rather then insulting them. And in the process a higher chance of winning. So I used to be quite toxic, which didnt help at all - these days I try it the nice and constructive way and eventhough people still ignore you often, there are other occasions aswell. Just recently managed to win a game against all Odds simply by communicating and coordinating with the last 2 survivors.
