Boy. You seem to be so obsessed with telling everyone your failed logic, that you in return fail to read what people are telling you. Is this going to be a constructive thread or are u just whining & hatin´? In that case I have another one for your logic: After every night comes a day, thats why its not dark anymore d´oh. So close your eyes, its dark, thus you got rid of the sun. Its about as logical as your claim that T4 has an influence on T8 matchmaking.

Your logic is the logic of a four-year-old. "UUh someone has my toy, nobody else can have my toy" How on earth could 120.185 ships played in T3 + T4 in last week influence 80% or 90% w/e you claim of 959.764 ships played on T8 to T10? Answer that. You conclusion is so wrong, its perfectly inline with other conspiracy theorys....

Confirmed. But then again they seem to have the same symbol on the map. Makes sense. Another thing - if every ship spots the DW Torps - then why would BBs get hit more? The DW torp will pass a DD or Cruiser, they are spotted for the BB behind them - exactly as right now. Only difference: the DD/ CL doesnt have to fear beeing hit - makes those torps less dangerous. Yea, like it took the ppl only 1 or 2 patches to understand the change in shiprepair costs...oh wait... -

Right now it was bad again. Having the same probs here then you guys. Yep you are right, I do experiance the same, as I play a lot T8. There are reasons for this, like the overwhelming Bismarck and Tirpitz Players on T8. Team up with a Bismarck and you see more T6/T7. Ive done it, and it works. Those Bismarcks get basicly dumped left and right in every game possible from T6 to T8. Last 2 months we had ~800.000 games played in them two alone, but f.e. Izumu was at ~97.000. So maybe the ppl here saying, this is not happening, are Bismarck-Players? Only reason the OP gets so much hate, is cuz his conclusion and "solutions" are selfish and ignorant. Call it T12-battle or w/e but I agree - as often as possible there should be T10-only matches. About the waitingtime: This myth has existed for too long already. It can be proven wrong very easy. Games played last week: T3 = 31.408 T4 = 88.777 T10 = 297.979 So, if these lower tiers have instant mm with a +/-1 mm (which they have), then you have no problem at all of having instant matchmaking on T10. The thing is this: WG wants to put T10 in the mix with T8 as often as possible. To piss us off. "Oh my, that Yamato/Des Moines/Gearing got me ONLY because he is the so much better ship. Wait, till I have this uber-awesome-T10-ship. Ah what the heck MIGHT ASWELL DUBLOON MY WAY THERE" WG wins.

Oh but Yolo-rush with Takao is so much fun. There was this one mission some time ago... where you needed to hit ships with torps. And I just couldnt do it, not even my DDs worked satisfying enough. So I said "screw this, Takao yolo time". Trap came up, I went full speed from spawn, expecting to find something camping behind the islands, which was true, drove straight in the middle of them and lauched all torps. I sunk 2+1 BBs :) (the third died from HE from our ships comming the "conservative" path shorty after.) I dont think i ever managed so much damage in under 4 mins. Also, one of the most satisfying moments ever. You could actually feel, how confused those guys were with my unconventional rush :D- 117 replies

np. You just gained a lot of respect in my book with that answer so all is good Ceasre is squishy compared to a König, there is no deniying that. However, if a Cesare captain choses to go so close with a König, that he is gonna lose, its a missplay. Just keep him at distance --> This comes into play. Cesare can even use HE to straight up kill the König on long range, the german HE is no match in a fight like this. Ive had two Cesare trailing my poor Texas once, their answer to my angeling was HE-Spam and 4 fires. If they only would have been so smart to keep following me (the ~8 kn slower ship), they would have won the round. Which is buffed now to be pretty much awesome at T5. Texas 33% Cesare 30% New York 28% Arp Kongo 27% Kongo 25% König 22% Iron Duke 16% (!) Okt. Revo. 13% (!) BBs with better AA on T5: Texas BBs with comparable AA: Iron Duke, König, Okt. Revo. BBs with worse AA on T5: New York, Kongo So the weaknesses you are listed are not really weaknesses at all. AA is in balance. The Torpedo protection is very good, but that alone doesnt make her OP, ofc. Its the combination of -speed -no real weakness -awesome guns & accuracy that makes her supirior to all the other T5 BBs and even T6 BBs.

See, now I can fully agree with you @PricelessPlayingPancake. Guess im not a troll afterall . Now that we pinned down what hurts the Hipper most - how do we change that? I have an example from a last week or something. I (Edinburgh) was in a division with a Bismarck on Loop an there was a Hipper behind the Island on B for most of the match, harrasing everyone from our team, that went too far out. We tried to get to him, but he denied a straight up fight with us. Finaly, a few enemy ships rushed into B, where our Team was - including me, Bismarck a Farragut if I remember correctly and 1 other CA and 1 BB. The enemys did somewhat ok, our DD missplayed by missing torps on 1 km on a Scharnhorst which brought me in a bad position, as I was next on his list. So I angle towards him, which worked out very well but - the Hipper used that confusion to come around the island from the other side, getting me perfect broadside. Before I could react, he had half my HP down (he basicly shot right the moment his position popped up on the minimap) and I was 13 sec away from him ending my round. So - moving with your fleet, waiting for that perfect moment to strike, works obviously still well in the current Meta. He made about the avg dmg of the Hipper with those 2 salvos, so my guess is, he had a decent game. In that specific game, even a reload boost wouldnt have changed anything for that Hipper. Althought I still agree that the reload should be -1 sec - as it should be for the other T8 CAs aswell - to not interfer too much with the Cruiser vs. Cruiser situations. There the Hipper is a beast already. I personally like to see a +/-1 mm and something be done about the BB-overpopulation. Imo, it would make the Hipper much stronger, if it wouldnt have to fight Yamatos, Des Moines, Moskvas, Hakuryus + the huge number of BBs anymore. Those T10 Cruisers take the Hipper for breakfast, its not even close.- 117 replies

@Spellfire40 the thing about the Hipper is this. Its designed as a Cruiser-Killer. Ive played plenty of different T8 ships, more precise, cruisers, and T8 is my most played Tier. The one cruiser you dont want to meet from the T8 ones, when you are in a Cruiser yourself - is the Hipper / Prinz Eugen. The better reload of the Chapayev f.e. wont help you jacksh!t. If I angle, Hipper will still murder me. If he angles, all I can do is fire HE, which wont do massive alphadamage anyway. Its not the fault of the Hipper, that the current Meta is 5 BBs 2 CA and 4 DDs + 1 CV. This is one of the worst enviroments for the Hipper. Although it can deal with beeing shot at from BBs far better then a Chapayev f.e. If you massivly buff the Hipper, you will make things even worse for the rest of the T8 cruisers. You guys didnt really thought about that now have u? They have it hard enough already in the current meta. They dont need another super-cruiser-hunter around with a massivly buffed reload. The damage you want to add to the Hipper is not gonna come out of the pockets of BBs or DDs - you´ve said it yourself. Then what is left? Exactly, other Cruisers. Like I said. Hipper is a Cruiser-Hunter in a currently BB-Meta. Change the Meta = Hipper will perform better.- 117 replies

Interesting topic. My most influential class would be : a Division . Seriously, it boils down to what you say here pretty much: But you can on your divisionmates (they need to be somewhat decent, ofc). Within the Division, its not so much about what class you play, you only need to be good with that class in general. We talk about what ships we play before we start a round, and I make my pick accoring to that. So if we already have a DD, ill jump in Cruiser. If we have a CV, im gonna pick a Cruiser with good AA. We have a cruiser, ill go for a BB. Playing solo, I agree, that CV is the most influencal class. You have the potential to strike anywhere at any time, thus making crucial play happen without risking your own life. But this RTS-gameplay is not for everyone, especially when you are here for the action-type gameplay. I personaly play other RTS-games if I look for that kind of game. Looks like u havent played Division. If u wanna give it a try, add me in game and feel free to write me anytime you see my online. Im usualy up for anything starting T4+. -
So T10 should see... T11 and T12? and so forth? Who the hell cares about T8 ships not wanting to see T10 ships? Oh you do...cause you are biased towards it cuz u play T8. gotcha. What about the ppl that prefer to play T4 ships? Oh I found your answer: Well, who the hell cares what you want? Good Bye! Nobody gonna miss you - close the door on your way out plz :)

This is the perfect way to dismiss any argument without even reading it. Congratulations, you discovered ignorance. Seriously. If you want to come to a discussion with individuals, you have to read what they say and argue for of against by what they say. Telling me, that "someone else at some point before said this n that, thats why your point is invalid" has nothing to do with discussionculture anymore. We are all individuals. You cant blame me that somebody else said some other ship is Op and it certainly doesnt invalidate my arguments. I will never ever do this or if for some reason I would fall into this behavour, I would be glad, someone would call me out for it. This however is a very good summery of what we see. And I agree, its been going on as long as wows exist. Introduction of russian cruisers was the first time, many ppl complained. "Russian Bias" was born that day. RN Cruisers with their smoke changed the game, cant deny that. As did the RN BB with their HE-Spam. I personally start to dislike this sceme more and more, since it will ultimatly throw the game off balance completly. WG has to invent new gimmicks for every line, to make them not only interesting and differnt, but straight better - atleast in some areas - so ppl will throw money at them. Its not only about premiumships, but ppl willing to invest real money to free XP up a silverline, to be among the first to enjoy those toys - Conqueror anyone? It sounds logical. But there are things, that point to a different approach. Ill go with a very obvious one, that Ive noticed only yesterday - the T8 Cruiser ARP Takao. The Takao isnt available for nearly a year. Thus, the playerbase must be called experainced. My personal view of the ship is: it has been powercreeped and the reload time is not up-to-date anymore. Now you did say experianced players get a better WR out of a ship, no matter the ship. Matter of fact - the Takao is barly making 50% WR at best with an avg damage of 36-37k. source: http://maplesyrup.sweet.coocan.jp/wows/ranking/20170610/eu_2month/average_ship.html Keep in mind - those 434 players listed there as playing the Takao recently, have this ship for atleast 11 months - some even longer. For most other things, refer to @Oely001 posts. They describe it perfectly from my point of view.

That would only make sense, if every tier and every class would have the EXAKT same number of games played - during each and every minute of the server beeing online aswell. Also, There would need to be a T11. and Then a T12. and ultimatly T∞. Ill try to make an example again with easy numbers. Lets assume a span of 24 hours. T3 had 50 Players T4 had 100 Players T5 had 200 Players T6 had 400 Players T7 had 800 Players T8 had 5000 Players T9 had 2000 Players T10 had 4000 Players. Now make matches out of this. With instant matchmachmaking and 0 waitingtime in mind. What % of the players will be hightier - leaving T10 aside? Can never ever be 50%. Not even close! And now someone says - those made up numbers prove nothing. Then I dare you to check the overpopulation of BBs on T8 and that T10 is by now played pretty much twice as often as T9.

The perfect image of p2w? On the other hand - you did only win 28% in that abomination, but did much better in the König. Maybe you should have continued playing that ship. Newsflash: Its even free to play About the ship stats - last 2 months: Giulio Cesare - 51778 dmg - 54.60 % WR New York - 26190 dmg - 45.98 % WR Kongo - 27960 dmg - 47.30 % WR Anyone calling it a balanced ship is just making a fool out of themself. Its either the pure fear speaking out of them "omg, must fight the people saying its OP, or else WG might hit my Toy with the nerfbat" or total ignorace, thinking "Hey. its not the ship. Im just THAT awesome."

Nah I cant agree with this. Hipper is pretty forgiving (if a cruiser these days can be called that). Thing is, Ive played literally hundres of games in a 2-man-division, which was Takao + Hipper or Chapayev + Hipper. The Hipper is WAY more tanky then the other two. Things my divmate got away with got me killed instantly. Also, due to the protection of the Hipper, he can go brawling with a higher rate of sucess and make use of the torpedos. The Torpedos got called useless here - then how come in 247 games my div.partner has 42 Torpedokills? I, however, managed only 7 kills with torps in Chapayev in 302 games! Even if you compare torpedohits of Takao, I dont see it superior to Hipper - quite the opposite. The player in question with the Hipper also has over 500 games in Takao with 116 kills by torpedos - only slightly more then with Hipper. I myself managed 80 kills with Torpedos also in over 500 Games with Takao. So he straigh up beat my Takao in Torps with his Hipper. I have to say, I was surprised, when I just went to check this.- 117 replies

100% agree. There are so many ppl asking for total crazy buffs, that its in the interest of all of us, to argue against those - but not only that, show better way, that actually have balancing in mind, not "make my favourite ship the best". I hope you are right, that WG would start to listen to that sort of reasonable players. On top of that, the facts presented by @PricelessPlayingPancake are totaly off again. About the Stealth: Edinburgh: 11,70 km New Orleans: 11,88km Takao/Atago: 11,88 km (Takao has no access to camouflages, thus worse concealment then the three) And the Heal - Edinburgh has a heal. Which is also WAY better then Takao/Atago. But meh, who cares about facts, once you started raging really hard ;)- 117 replies

Yep. Who doesnt know the range advantage of Atago & Takao (15,78km), Edinburgh (15,42km) or Mogami (15,67km) im comparision to Hipper (17,69km) and Prinz Eugen (17,52km). Even the Chapayev falls short with (17,33 km). Only the Kutuzov remains, which is OP anyway. Bummer, your argument just got washed down by wiki facts. Oh and about the AP & hunting DDs... *cough* ill refer to my screen....How many more do you need of those? Lets wait and see. WG beeing WG I wont be making any guesses about it. Sounds reasonable. Add Takao / Atago / Mogami 203mm, give them the same buff, and im all in for it. Takao isnt fun to play anymore, it will affect her damage output less anway, since a good part of her damage is torps anyway.- 117 replies
